Awful!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

These guys are flat out negligent, and the story above doesn't surprise me in the least. We paid for indoor storage and found out that they had been leaving it outside (the tarp half-off!). The year before that we let another accident slide, too. It just goes on and on.

complaint against lake pointe marine center  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Complaint against owner and operators for:Re: Lake Pointe Marina 2413 Rowlette Rd .Garland, Tx972-303-2440. My husband put the bass boat in at Lake Pointe Marina back in April. They started with an 82.50 fee that would tell us everything we needed done with the boat. The first time the boat was kept from 4/1/07until 4/27/07. The bill was 938.93 we were assured everything was in working order. Of course it was not. We found out the boat was not even test driven to confirm the repairs were completed. After being hauled back to the marina by another boater....we put the boat back in the shop.On 6/28/07 we paid the Marina another 318.23.The boat was still not fixed. My husband agreed to allow them to finish the work for the cost of the parts and a reduced labor fee. On 8/28/07we gave them a cashiers check for 483.49. The person he spoke with told him to give him a couple of hours to clean the boat up as it had been stored outside for over 4 months. 8/28/07 was a Tuesday.By Friday we still did not have a call from the marina. I called and finally, spoke with a Tim who assured me the boat would be ready by 3 pm on the 31st. When I arrived I found the boat...but it was not on my trailer. I went to the office told them who I was and stated to have Tim call me as soon as he put my boat on the right trailer. We did not hear from anyone nor were any of our calls returned. My husband went back to the marina on both Sunday and Tuesday of this week. The boat is still on the wrong trailer. I spoke with a sales person today who assured me the owner or Tim would called back. The marina now states our boat trailer was stolen from their property. They have known this since last Friday. They have no plans to replace the boat trailer. I was told I would have to file a police report as they can not do this. The report has been filed and we still have not heard from the owner. The marina has effectively kept our boat the entire summer. Please do not spend your hard earned money with these folks. They care little about service and less about your property you leave with them.
