A healthy, intelligent community: Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church
by Lee H.
My daughter and I visited Galleria-area churches when she was in first grade until we found Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church. We felt at home on our initial visit and have been regulars for 6-years now. We have made many friends, had a lot of fun and realized the rewards of active participation in a religious community. My daughter enjoys the religious education program and she has developed good values. Tolerance and compassion are taking root within her. I appreciate the faith's practice of accepting people of all faiths and find the diversity of beliefs among members to be educational and interesting. I suggest visiting the church and trying it on for size.

We have UU family and they wanted to go to church when they visited. We all had a positive experience, everyone was inviting and friendly . The parking situation was not a problem at all. The decoration in the church wasn't too simple but wasn't overly elaborate either. I loved the people at the front desk - they are really helpful! They had great activities for the seniors and children, and I will defiinitely go back again

We were blown away by this church. My husband and I have been looking for a spiritual home for several years now, but nothing felt quite right. We attended services here a few weeks ago and were very, very excited to find such a welcoming, open-minded, thought-provoking congregation. We recommend that anyone who is interested in attending a unitarian church, give Emerson a try. The facilities are new and environmentally friendly. Great all-around church.
