Taylor Dance Center

Seriously, someone is attacking a dance studio because the owner hired her seventy year old mom to work at the front desk answering phones and helping to answer basic questions. "Yes, the instructor was very nice and taught well enough." So the critique is the mean old lady at the desk is evil. But this is unbiased. Guess they are nice to the kids or the writer would have pointed that out. That sounds pretty basic to me. Wow "Relax and breath is what I want to be able to do when I drop my children off to dance class", did you really say that about your children and complain about someones seventy year mom in the same complaint and then say you do not complain about people. Claim to be unbiased and try to ruin someones good reputation because you hate her mom. That is classic, but hey you know professionalism. You are right it is not corporate America, it is where little kids go to learn to dance by very nice teachers. My kids love all of their teachers and bug me to take more classes each year. The instructors are nice and kids like it, my two year observation of several hundred kids.

Taylor Dance Center is the best studio in and around the McKinney area. If you are looking for a warm, family approved place for your child to grow not only as a dancer but as a person, this is the place for you. They respect every student and give them all the same attention. The competitive members are not secluded from the non-competitive students and they like it that way. The staff is very well-rounded and up beat and they always have huge smiles on their faces. They provide technique, tasteful dancing, and a warm environment. The prices and hours for the competitive AND non competitive students are the best you will find. I would recommend Taylor Dance Center to anyone.

My kid took 2 years classes over there, because I could not find another place for her age, and I did not like it. The place is dirty, old and does not look good.
They are not very friendly. She had the same class(songs and movements) all year long.
This year she will not be back.

We will not be returning this year due to unprofessionalism and disorganization. There were issues throughout the entire year, however at the Spring recital , the owners mother Ms Virginia, asked my exteneded family of 7 (all adults grandparents, aunts etc..) to share a program.... Two of my daughters take dance there so I did not feel as though 2 or 3 programs for such a large group of adults was too much to ask. I would not recommend Taylor Dance to anyone.

@ Name Z, Seriously it sounds like you are the bi-polar one. You cannot even give real facts to your story. You sound like you get really offended easily. It's ok, take a deep breath and relax. We all have our bad days.
I just started bringing my child within the past year and have had no problems. Everyone there is kind and good hearted. The staff are really easy going. All the kids seem to really have a great time.

Taylor Dance is the WORST place I have ever stepped foot into. The front desk woman- Ms. Virgina (Suzan's MOTHER) is the RUDEST individual I have ever known. She seems fine at first, and then she becomes bi-polar and out of control with her words and her temper!!! I can go on and on giving examples, but trust me when I say DO NOT TAKE PART IN ANYTHING TO DO WITH Taylor Dance!!! 6 families that we took classes with are pulling out due to their rudeness and disrespect towards us and our children! Yes, the instructor was very nice and taught well enough. But to be treated time and time again with disrespect toward 6 different families is just unacceptable! When we tried to speak to the OWNER, Suzan, she never returned calls nor emails. We were IGNORED! Taylor Dance has a reputation for being well known. (How I have no idea-have you seen the inside yet?) The business is run poorly and the establishments atmosphere is TRASHY!!! Unkept, unclean, mismatched, and again the front desk people are RUDE! I have never written something bad about anyone, but trust me when I say STAY AWAY FROM TAYLOR DANCE!!!! I URGE YOU TO CONSIDER ANY OTHER PLACE, this coming from a working mother of 2 girls!!! Don't make the mistake we did!

I do not have the time or the typing space to give "examples" of the treatment from this establishment. My "bad day" equates to roughly 5 times of mistreatment from TD. And believe me I work in corporate America, I DO NOT wear my feelings on my sleeves nor do I get offended easily. I know what professionalism means, and I did not find it here. This is my unbiased opinion, who knows you probably work (or even own) Taylor Dance and business is slow, your little review did help the star ratings some....Good Job!

Relax and breath is what I want to be able to do when I drop my children off to dance class, instead it truly wore me out. Do you think 6 other families "get offended easy" or could it be we were treated rudely? Hmmmm, just a thought!!!!

We pulled out of Taylor Dance. The people were very unfriendly. Not happy with anything to do with Taylor Dance. The place is not very clean, our girls did not learn very much and it was costly for the bad treatment we received. We are finding another place for sure. My advice is to find another place as well.

We have been going to Taylor Dance Center for 1 1/2 years now. We came here from another dance school in McKinney. There my daughter was treated poorly. Here, she is treated wonderfully and it shows in her dance. The teachers here at TDC care about their students whether they are on competitive team or not. EVERYONE is treated the same. Most importantly, technique ALWAYS comes first. Technique is never sacrifice in order to win a competition. My daughter has improved more in one year than in four at the other school. And above it all, she has made good close friends. We are a family here. It is our dance home. It is wonderful!
