Goody Two Shoes  4 Star Rating - Very good

I ADORE this little botique. They have their own label of clothing. They offer very stylish and well made clothing, and the prices are about what you pay for "mall" stuff. They often have a clearance rack at the front of the store where you can find really great stuff for really cheap.

Not impressed with the quality or styles  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I've been in Goody Two Shoes a few times in the past and wasn't impressed with the quality of the merchandise. I had to return the first pair I ever bought there and they weren't very nice about it at all. The staff is okay but not very helpful. The styles are more flashy and it's great if you're into that style.

Great for inexpensive.  4 Star Rating - Very good

Goodie Two Shoes is located downtown, and carries very unique clothing, jewelry, with over 200+ shoe styles to choose from. This is a wonderful place to shop and the staff that work there are wonderful and definitely take care of you. If youre looking for products that wont eat your checkbook but still unique and very elegant then this would be a fantastic place to visit.

i'm thinkin' NO 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

though the merchandise may be trendy, the owner should not, NOT be in customer service. after reading several reviews from other customers, i knew i had to add my two cents. i was completely ignored as i was shopping until it appeared that i was going to purchase something. i may not "dress to impress" when i shop, but damn it, when i shop, i shop!!!! i felt as though i was judged from head to toe from the moment i walked in the door; the only thing that did for this business was lose me as a customer forever and my many friends too (that i've of course already told NOT to shop there)! this woman either needs to get l@id or put mirrors up everywhere so that she can see what a be-awwch she is...trust me honey, you need to reevaluate your approach to each and every customer that chooses to walk into your store. you should consider it a privilege that people are actually still walking through your doors; of course those people that are still shopping could be your typical "sorority/barbie looking/college, etc..." type of girl with mommy & daddy's credit cards. i almost want to go back and let her know to her face but that would be a complete waste of my precious time. at any rate, readers, BEWARE of what you're walking into...could be a good day for her, could be a bad one- probably the latter. let's face it- at her age, getting l@id is probably not an option! :) happy shoe shopping fellow shopppers!!!!!!!

Pros: selection
Cons: be-awwch-y owner

Not so Goodie Two Shoes 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I've spent a ton of money b/c I just love the clothes and shoes. Such great deals to be found! I've been going to Goodie Two Shows for years and never had the pleasure of meeting owner Christine Ann.

Until today. I went in, found some great shoes, petted the golden retriver and started browsing clothes. I then went to the changing room. Christine Ann said something about my purse needing to be left outside of the stall.

I balked a minute -- I'd just cashed my paycheck and didn't like the idea of it being parted from me. I've had money stolen before while shopping. I asked her when they had changed the policy, thinking it was strange as I was in the store as recently as two weeks before and nothing was said then. She went off, ranting about tags and hangers being on the floor from people shoplifting her clothes. She claimed she was being sued for discrimination because of her policy so she couldn't just let me have my purse (I had never asked for this). She started in on big bags -- my bag was not that big and completely full.

She then took my clothes and said she didn't want to sell them to me. When I asked her why, she started again on the discrimination suit, then said I was rude to question her policy and if I didn't want to put my purse behind the counter, I could leave. Fine. I apologized profusely, mentioned again I'd been coming to the store for years, & recommended it constantly & couldn't understand why she was so mad. I said I was sorry again and asked if I could purchase the shoes I already had at the counter. I was told no, so I left.

I never raised my voice to her, was never rude. I work in retail myself -- I understand having a bad day, but taking out your aggro on your customers is not cool. This is the worst shopping experience I've ever had in any store. No pair of shoes is worth putting up with a terrible attitude. No wonder she is being sued. If she treated that woman the way she treated me, I've no doubt she'll lose her case.

Pros: The shoes. The prices. the sales. But they aren't worth it.
Cons: The owner is extremely rude. To the point of being sued, apparently. I won't ever go back.

Childish Owner 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I must say I am very surprised to read that the owner, Christine, is a mother. I was convinced leaving today that she hated children. I went in this afternoon with my 3 year old son. Neither myself, my son, or my friend ever got a greeting or acknowledgement really. My son was being good (I thought) about letting mommy browse by playing the good old hide in seek in the racks. I remember loving this when I was a child. At one point the owner and my son bumped into each other and Christine didn't even say a word to him. After this happened I was ready to leave but decided to stay figuring not everyone knows how to interact with children. Later I was asking about a price for a sweater when my son was in between 2 racks that Christine told me weren't that stable. I then was trying to convince my son that she was getting mad so he needed to come out. Christine at this point was getting mad, I tried to give her that wink of "hey I'm just trying to get him out in language he might understand" and I thought she got it but when I said it again to my son. She came back and asked us all to leave. Completely surprised I tried to explain like an adult what I was doing when she wouldn't even give me the time of day. She just kept repeating, please leave. What can I say? While I was in the store I overheard her saying she really needed some business, here I was ready to give her some but instead she wouldn't even hear me talk. Well at this point I told her I understood why she needed business and said a couple more not so nice things and left. Now back to my beginning comment of her being a mother. Wow! Thats surprising! As far as friendly environment that is a huge overstatement. Good bargains, yes, if you don't care about being treated badly for having a toddler.

Pros: a few gems in the mix
Cons: owner, lack of customer appreciation

Cute Boutique, Reasonable Prices 5 Star Rating - World class

Goodie Two Shoes is one of my favorite boutiques in Austin. The prices are reasonable and they have a great selection of shoes, jewelry, accessories, and women's clothing. The clothes are more for the twenties crowd but there is a good selection of everyday and "going out" items. Definitely worth a peak if you are an out-of-towner or new to Austin.
