We were with a party of 10. 3 of them ordered the chicken parmesan. For a 12.95 price, I don't think it was worth it. It was good but too salty, if it would not have been salty I'm sure it would have tasted much better. The chicken piccata was good but again, for a price of 12.95 a plate, the portions are way too small. I guess that's why they keep giving you bread to fill you up. Service was good. Don't think I'll be going back though.
This place looks hole-in-the-wall, but once you go in, you will always receive the best service for well priced, delish meals! the inside looks like a family run restaurant from Italy. The owner (I think) is this Elvis look alike guy who is always working, and makes sure you get impeccable service. We've never left hungry, and we've tried almost everything on the menu. This place never gets too busy either, so you don't have to deal with the crowd. I hope I can find a cute, yummy place like this when I leave Dallas.
Pros: cheap, good food, great service
Looking for a new place to eat more than a year ago, we slipped into Bellini's Restaurant in the Oak Lawn District. We thought a pizza would be nice. A pizza? Wow. We ordered a full dinner. After dining on a meal fit for a king, I called, Lorenzo, the owner over to our table. "This was very good," was all I could muster. To which, Lorenzo just laughed. Since then we have tried virtually everything on the menu, and it is uniformly superb. (I cannot say that about more than two other restaurants--anywhere.) The service is excellent, the ambiance fun, and the food is incredible. This is very likely Dallas' best restaurant.
Pros: Thumbs way up!
This place is not what it seems. We were driving around one night looking for something different to eat. We were a little nervous about walking in, but were greeted with a big smile. Once the bread came out, I knew I was in the right place. I loved everything about it....bread, salad, food and service. Don't miss the opportunity to try this place. Just don't go too often....don't want it to get too crowded for me to get a nice table. : )
Pros: So good....but don't forget to save room for dessert
Cons: So good....too much food to save room for dessert
This is one of my favorite places in Dallas. There is almost never a wait, the manager greets every customer, and the food and customer service are excellent. The atmosphere is like an Italian terrace, taking you to a place far, far away from a strip mall in Dallas. We are repeat customers, and will continue to be. If you haven't been to Bellini's, you are truly missing out.
Pros: Fantastic service, wonderful ambience, seldom crowded.
Prompt seating because patrons were not lined up to get in!
To begin with our waiter forgot that we ordered an appetizer and the usually soft bread was cold and hard. It appears that tables of four or more are easier for the staff to handle. Our waiter seldom appeared to check on us. We would have had a second bellini but we were never asked if we would like another. Even after bringing the disappointing service to the manager's attention, we saw little improvement in the overall service. I would rate service poor and food mediocre at best. I do have to say, their plates are hot coming out of the kitchen but pasta texture was disappointing along with the bland sauce. We will probably have to think twice before revisiting this restaurant.
From the outside you would expect to walk in and see crates and wobbly chairs for ambiance. Once inside though you are treated to beautifully decorated restaurant with wonderful set up, delicious food and great service. The owner is always there and it is such a treat to watch the wait staff in action. The bar is situated in the middle where you can see the many fine selections and a big plus for me is that the restroom is always clean which means the owner takes pride in every part of his service. I highly recommend the Chicken Parmesan and hope that more people will take advantage of such a great Italian restraint in the heart of Oak Lawn.
This restaurant proves that, from the oustide, looks are deceiving. Once you step inside, however, the restaurant instantly improves. The decor is great and the owner is always there to greet you. You'll recognize him by his hair. The food is also quite good. The italian dishes are fabulous and the wine selection is superb. Also, the bar area is decorated in an impressive way. I eat here about once a week and love it!
