If you can get past the poor etiquette of employees that inventory your items, your stuff will sell. I agree, they make you feel like they are stealing from you because they don't feel the need to explain what they will do with the clothes and you walk out without a receipt of specified items left with them. I took ~75 items in, they accepted 26 (shoes, clothes, belts). They rejected Ann Taylor silk suits with tags still on them because they were 'the old Ann Taylor label', yet they took an Express dress (that I altered in 1997) because it 'was cute" and sold it for more than I paid for it in 1997. They also took faded gap brown khakis that I thought should go to the Good Will. In the end they sold 25 of the 26 items. Then they said because I was a day late on picking up my left over item they couldn't find it and were not obligated to locate it. The item that did not sell was a dress with a tag on it still. I would have rather donated it to Dress for Success than to let them rob it from me. I still feel robbed by them even though I made $125. But if your goal is to not have to get rid of clothes in a garage sale where clothes never do well unless they are childrens clothes, and you would like a little return on your investment, this is not a bad option. You just have to detach emotionally from your stuff =)

I took clothes to be consigned and found the experience to be sorely laking in customer service. The staff grabbed my clothes and bags and ushered me out to a small cramped dingy waiting area (not explaining the procedure AT ALL). When they let me re-enter, my items had been separated by the things they would consign and those I could take back home. A contract was shoved at me to sign and never an explanation about why clothes/shoes were selected and others not. I wanted my hangers back on the clothes they were keeping and the gal shoved a box of hangers to my feet and said I could change them out myself. It took forever to untangle the mess of hangers in the box and get out of there. When the time on the contract expired and I picked up the few remaining items that did not sell I was again met with indifference and unfriendliness on the part of the employees. A little kindness could have gone a long way to having a repeat customer. Never again!!!

I went in to kill a few minutes, had no idea what the place was about... I was greeted shortly after going in, helped frequently (especially by the ladies upstairs) and found a lot of great things... sure, some were lower end brands, but there were many designer labels, too. I ended up leaving with an Ann Taylor skirt suit, a couple tops from A. Taylor, Banana Rep, Sweet Pea and a beautiful O.Cassini formal evening jacket, and an amazing silk summer dress from Gap... all for $99.00!! Everything I bought was very clean and in great condition. I'm going back today with an associate from work!

Took some very nice outfits for consignment, including my wedding dress and a great navy blue suit. The woman pawed through my clothes like she was cleaning a litter box, and with a sneer said, "oh, no, we can't use anything like THIS. Everything MUST be one or two years old." It would have been nice if they had told me that when I called. Wasted time, wasted gas, hurt feelings. They always struck me as a bit snotty; now I definitely will never go back.

Too Good to be Threw is a nice resale shop. They buy and sell gently used clothes and accessories. A lot of their items are designer or known brands. All of the items are in excellent condition. The employees are very nice and helpful.
PROS: Great quality resale apparel

This store is full of great quality merchandise at fair prices. The staff is a little snotty and they seem not to be interested in being there. The eclectic charm is worth the not so great service. High end clothes for a fraction of the price, and it is set up to look like a high end boutique!
