Steve Taussig and his staff have done expert work on my 2001 BMW 530 on two occasions, and I definitely saved $$ over bringing it to the dealer. He spent plenty of time with me explaining what issues my car was facing, and put the car up on a lift to show me personally why certain work needed to be done. The work done, timeliness and price quoted did not deviate from the estimate.
