BAD MECHANICS  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I took my 1998 C230 Mercedes to them, because I saw a Mercedes parked outside and figured they could fix it. Well, I took it to get a tune up in Mar. 07 and some brake work done, but it still was making this awful noise. I explained to them that it was making this noise but they just said that none of belts were loose, so I just took that as my car just might be old. This set me back about $500. About two months later, my brakes started making noise again and my power steering hose was leaking (so they say). They then told me my power steering hose needed to replaced and now my back rear brakes need to be replaced. This set me back about $500. It is now three months later and I finally decided to take my car to a specialist. I was told I needed a major, major, major tune-up and my power steering fluid was still leaking. Do not go to this place!!!!! If you do, I would only suggest an oil change!!!

Don't risk it--go somewhere else.  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

The last mechanic that worked here was amazing but he is NO LONGER THERE. His replacement is rude and his sub-par workmanship left me STRANDED TWICE with a car that wouldn't work (never happened before with that car, btw) in the week after I dropped $800 bucks on repairs. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a skilled, reliable mechanic.

Bumbling Mechanics With Poor Results - NOT IMPRESSED  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Misdiagnosed my car trouble, setting me back about $250. Car was still dying when I picked it up, this was acknowledged and I was told to put in premium gas. Called them the same day and told them the car was still not working and had died several times. They advised me to continue driving it. This resulted in my getting stuck at the intersection of 8th and Congress on a Saturday with a dead car. After towing my car back to their garage, they advised me several days later that I needed new fuel injectors to the tune of about $350 and indicated they would be charging me for the tow.

I got my car out of there fast and took it to another mechanic who located the problem. A short in a battery line that led to my fuel injector. Fix? $106.

The mechanics at Unlimited also tore out my backseat and left it that way for me to pick up. Their service was sub-par on every single level. I wonder who they paid off to become an Editor's Pick for The Austin Chronicle Best of Austin?

Avoid these people at all costs.

PROS: good location is about all i can say for them
CONS: typical bumbling mechanics, poor service, rip off

Good Mechanics  4 Star Rating - Very good

The guys here are quick and good. I have never had a problem and have heard mainly good things about them from other people. It is nice not to go to a chain for a quick lube!
I recommend.

Trustworthy mechanics  4 Star Rating - Very good

These guys work on all kinds of cars and will even work with your extended warranty. I've found them to be honest, to do the work in a timely fashion, and not try to add service on that I don't need. I've never used their "body shop" services, just auto repair and have been very satisfied.
