Ratings_icons Extremely disappointed

This was a terrific place to buy used household items , clothes and much more. But sadly this place been remodel and a pretty building but the customer service turn very bad and prices went too high. The manager Terry needs to know that she is dealing with people that are in need, people that maybe just Right now don't have a job or things like that. The economic situation is bad so please don't be so selfish all those things are donations from people that have more than others. God is generous. Please come back like it used to be: nice customer service and better prices. Terry be aware customers are leaving and soon they will have to close down the thrift shop.

I am extremely disappointed in this organization because the woman who spoke to me yesterday was condescending and rather nonchalant when I was told an appointment doesn't guarantee assistance and that I wouldn't qualify anyway because I wasn't on my job long enough...I lost my job after 3 mos. For it to be a christian organization, she did not act very Christ-like. Also they tell you what to bring to your appointment however, you are not qualified if you do not have job stability, have a temporary job, or as a bus driver...or along a part-time type of job. All these details are left out. I feel as though my time and gas was wasted. For someone facing eviction, this is a place that could care less. She also said an appointment was were you had a chance to tell your story of how you've gotten to this place in your life where you need assistance, they never heard my story because she was too busy telling me that I didn't have longevity on my job so, I didn't qualify anyway...what a joke!

This is the best place to find excellent deals on everything. They sell used books for half price on Monday. They also sell various items such as computers, clothes, shoes, bag gages, movies, and other valuable items. They also have an annual food pantry that gives food to the needy without jobs or people who cant afford to buy food.

This is a terrific organization. They provide assistance to families in need, specifically in the Northwest Houston area. Even though it is a Christian-based organization, they do not discriminate in their clientel. They provide toys to kids at Christmas, back to school supplies, summer lunch programs, a thrift store, and a job assistance program. If you need any help, this is the perfect place for you.

PROS: They help as many people as they can
