I have been using Melody for 3 years and never had a bad hair cut. She has great ideas on how to fix problems with my hair. She is consistent and remembers details important to me. Other hair dressers turn out great work too. Several of us use them in our office and everyone is satisfied with the talent of this salon.

I love Bushwackers! My husband and I have been going to Daniel for over 5 years. He does a great job with my color and cut. When I tell people that I color my hair... they're surprised... because it looks so natural.
I've also had a facial by Lisa. She's great! All the comments about her being Houston's Eyebrow Queen... it's true! I will not be letting anyone else touch my eyebrows.
I would recommend Bushwackers to anyone looking for a great salon. The staff is friendly and experienced. You can't go wrong with Bushwackers.

After reading about Daniel here on Citysearch I made an appointment to see him and was very happy with the results!My cut and color came out just how I wanted and I have never looked better than I do now!Next time I am bringing my daughter,can't wait to see what he does with her!A big thank you to Daniel for listening as I babbled my way through the process.I have never had so much fun getting my hair done. Good conversation , true artistic talent and a nice atmosphere. I almost can't wait till my roots grow out again!

Bushwacker has been my salon for the last seventeen years and I've never even thought of making a change. Why? It was the first "beauty" salon I walked into where I felt like I was visiting good friends. The stylists were friendly and made good styling suggestions. They also told me that even if the sylist I was matched with originally was not a fit for me, that I could ask for another sylist at any time and "no one's feelings would be hurt." It was all about service and making me happy!

Chris, my stylist of 10 years, and new owner of this wonderful Houston institution, has created his own brand of warmth. The decor welcomes you and makes you want to sit down and enjoy a good cup of coffee while being pampered.

Try Bushwacker if you haven' been in...it's hidden behind Randalls off of Westheimer. Once you go there, I guarantee, you'll want to go back.

The old saying, "You get what you pay for" is so true! I learned the hard way. I've known of Chris's color and stylist talents for many years; however, a move to a smaller town forced me to try someone new. Needless to say, I called Chris in a panic after my hair had been fried and had numerous mismatched tones and highlights throughout. Anyone that knows Chris, can understand that he came immediately to my rescue. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. After only one visit to Chris and his "miracle" work, I now have beautiful, natural looking color/highlights and am on my way back to healthy hair. I will be driving to Houston and Bushwacker to see Chris and his staff. It's worth the time and every penny!!!! Chris, Love You Bundles!

I've been going to Bushwacker for over 5 years now. This salon is the best in Houston. Chris (master hairdresser and the new owner!! Congrats, Chris!!!) does fantastic cuts and highlights. His staff is awesome. I've also had Candice do my highlights and she is excellent. My hair is perfect every time. You've got to try Lisa for waxing. She truly is the "Eyebrow Queen"! Fun and relaxing atmosphere where time flies and you almost hate to leave.

I wanted to get a facial close to home and tried Lisa at Bushwachers. I had been getting my eyebrows done from the threading ladies at the mall but no more. Lisa gave me movie star eyebrows.Then I got a great facial that would have cost alot more at other salons. It was very ralaxing and she is great with extractions if you want that which I did. Also she is very professional and pleasant and doesn't try to sell you product but will help you pick out products if you like. Love her.

I've lived in Houston almost all my life and I've really found a hair salon or hairdresser that was " the one" until I went to Bushwackers and found Chris( also the new owner and an Aggie- WHOOP!!) I have never had a better cut or color. I walk out of there feeling sexy.(pretty good for a 46 year old mother of 6) Chris is smart and he listens to what you want.( a rare combo) He's also gifted at what he does so he's able to translate all that into the right thing for you. I hate hoity-toity, uptight salons. This place is friendly, relaxed and a place where you feel pampered and cared for.( Della is the best shampooer, head massager and wisdom teller ever) Never got this kind of personalized service at Visible Changes,etc. and always paid at least $50 dollars more.

This is by far the best salon in Houston. Candice did an excellent job on my highlights. I look sun kissed. And I recommend Rene for anyone looking for an awesome haircut. I have never been more pleased with the service at a salon. Everyone there is very friendly.

I remember the first time I walked into Bushwacker 5 years ago. Another salon had beached my hair to a ridiculous & embarrassing color of blonde which didn't suit me. I walked into Bushwacker very shy and explained what happened. My nervousness instantly disappeared . They were all so kind and understanding. Chris took charge and explained what he could do, and a couple hours later, my hair was a wonderful color.

In the last 5 years, I have had the pleasure of both Chris and Jennifer coloring, cutting & styling my hair. I can only say, that I have had the best service here since living in Houston. They both can trim, cut, style and color to perfection. My color is the best, and besides my friends (even friends from high school) commenting on this transformation, my husband dones! Do I say more?

Please ask for either Chris or Jennifer. You will not be disapointed. And let me not forget.... Lisa gives a great eyebrow waxing & shaping too.

The owner Mary Jane has not only assembled a topnotch and creative group of people for her salon, occasionally you also get invited to an art showing, in her salon, displaying some of her employees' and local artists' artwork. This shows you the high level of creativity and community surrounding this wonderful place.

wow, I got a massage from ken ,he was great .he gave me a totally relaxing massage ,he can do deep pressure if you like that. The stress in my body just melted off me. everybody was very friendly and treated me like a queen. he would highly recommend getting a massage from ken. and then I got my hair done by jennifer ,she is great,she knows all the current styles and she was so nice ,we have become friends.they are very good at fitting in a very busy person like myself. it's like a onestop shop here ,I get my nails ,hair ,facial,and my massage here.I love it here ,I'm going to tell all my friends about ken for massages and jennifer for hair.everybody here was very professional and friendly to me .

I got my then fiance a surprise massage here for his birthday. I hadn't heard anything about Bushwacker before and my usual salon by my house was all booked up, so I decided to try this one. He had never had a massage before and was nervous. The whole hour, I was worried I had made the wrong decision in getting him one. When he came out he said that it was the best experience of his life. They made him feel totally comfortable. He actually fell asleep on the table. I have never seen him so relaxed. He has since been to a different salon (my usual place), another gift, and said it didn't even compare to Bushwacker. He swears he will never go anywhere else again and has been bugging for months now to set up an appointment.

This is a fabulous salon- my entire family has been coming here for 4 years. This is one of the best in Houston, without a doubt! Daniel is a true genius of color, cut, and if you want them, he'll offer great creative ideas for "that new" do! Everyone there is very professional and knows what they're doing. The massages and facials are quite possibly the best in the city, as are the manicures/pedicures. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Everyone is so helpful and genuine- no sales pressure. If you want a GREAT cut, go to Bushwacker's and ask for Daniel!

A great place for pampering. From the shampoo to the haircut, I've never been disappointed. Everything is great. The manicurist is tops. The massages are to die for. I had a facial there a few weeks ago and my face is still happy.
