Ratings_icons Luv-N-Care is A TERRIBLE PLACE!!!

Amber C.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD THERE!

My 3 yr old daughter attends Luv N Care off of Henderson Pass for 6 months now. In the past 6 months I have experienced nothing but bad things about this place. The place caught on fire at like 2am. They said it was a electrical problem with the attic or something, an excuse for not taking care of the place. The women who work there, Lily and Emma and some other lady that is always at the front are very judgemental and I have heard them gossiping many times about kids and parents. When they moved up my child to an older class, WITHOUT asking me the teacher and her young rude and non compassionate assisant teacher dont have any clue on how to speak to 3 yr olds and yell from across the room to stop and come sit down. I have walked in on the young assistant teacher yelling at my daughter to stop when another little girl was the one pulling on my daughters shirt. When i asked to put my daughter back in the other class, they told me that my daughter has ADHD and needs to be tested and she doesnt concentrate and doesnt listen. SHE IS 3yrs old. They said that I do not discipline my daughter and thats why she doesnt listen. When she was in the other class she NEVER had problems, it was the fact that she was put in a older class and the teachers in that room.

I saw the director at a bar during her lunch break.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE NOW???????

Ratings_icons Luv-N-Care Child Development is a wonderful center.

Debra H.

Having sent my two daughters and now my son to Luv-n-Care, I can easily recommend it to any parent looking for a reliable, loving, educational center. I felt my children received a firm foundation in early education, and it was also a fun center with lots of fun activities that my children seem to enjoy going to and looked forward to Monday morning. I also send them (the two older) to the summer camp program, which is full of fun field trips and events. The both took swimming lessons and now swim better than I do !

Luv-n-care is a fantastic school! I've had all of my children attend the Henderson Pass location and all of them absolutely loved it. The teachers are excellent and the facilities are fantastic! I highly recommend this center to anyone.

Ratings_icons We are very Happy with Luv-N-Care Child on Henderson Pass

Kristin K.

We send our 3 kids to Luv-N-Care on Henderson Pass (ages 4, 2, and infant) and we are very happy with the care and instruction. Their prices are fair, and we love the fact that our kids can take swimming lessons on site. Both my 4 and 2 year are swimming independently now. The 4 year old classroom had some instructor turn over, but we haven't had any other issues with the our other kids classrooms. Our 4 year old recieves a great pre-K education, and our baby is very well taken care. The kids get plenty of time to play outside, exposure to computers, fun crafts, and good food. Our kids enjoy going to daycare and love their teachers. The teacher are very hard working women who treat the children as their own. Any questions or concerns are quickly addressed and resolved by managment. We are very happy with the site and have recommended it to others.

Ratings_icons Day care is not too good for the price

Nina M.

Day care is not too good for the price. They do not inform in advance about the transition of the baby. My son joined when he was 7 months old. One of the teachers name Katy in Room 11, has an attitude issue. I have seen baby was on top of another baby and he was crying like anything she didn't bother to look what's going on. She is a big liar...
I am referring to Day care on Hubener Rd

Ratings_icons Not satisfied with director not transitioning our 14th month old READ!

Eric B.

Our son received good care up to 12 months old. After that we got the run around on why they couldn't transition him. Tried to talk to the director, but couldn't get answer otherwise. Also, the director singled out our son for biting. He was the biggest and most mobile kid in the room of 6-12 months old. This situation is very close to a licensing issue that we reported to DPFS. Our son was very bored in the room and they didn't transition him. We got different answers on why they couldn't. The director of Luv-n-care on huebner threatened to expel my son for biting at 14 months old. She could only recite the biting policy meant for older kids and not explain why they didn't transition him at 12-13 months. They also moved and placed new and other kids in the next room. On the day we pulled our son out, we were told he would be moved the next day. We weren't even notified by any staff member of the change.

If I were you, I would not place your child here. I have 14 years as an educator and would never single out a kid this old.

Ratings_icons Amazing School

joseph m.

My children have learned so much going through Luv-N-Care's exceptional learning program and was light years ahead of other children in the school systems when they started first grade. This school had been family owned and operated in San Antonio for so many years and when you walk in you can't help but feel the warmth they provide. I love having my youngest still in the program and in reading other reviews on this site, I am so disappointed in people being so abusive to the center. It is almost as if they were terminated employees or something and I highly recommend you visit the center and meet with the Cooke family to judge for yourself.

Ratings_icons Okay Center

We had our kid here for almost 2 years.

Good: Every teacher loves kids. Serves good meals and snacks. Complaints are listened to but once a new sitter is employed (which is like every other week) same problems arise.

Bad: *HIGH* turn over rate. most teachers are too young to provide "learning" type education. Afternoons are usually entirely high school and college age sitters. Most lack common sense such as leaving the window open when it's cold outside and kids are sleeping ground level on cots. The facility is a little run down. Carpet doesn't get replaced and when it rains ceiling leaks. Each class has a curriculum but managers do not see they are followed and they are not. They are also a little harsh on their sick policy. Even the slightest temperature after a nap and they'll want you to pickup your kid. Kid to student ration is the max required by law.

If you want a overpriced place to watch your kid Luv N Care is adequate. However, don't like the "Learning Center" name fool you... it's a place to put your kid so they won't kill each other. No educational value here.

I would highly recommend you verify how long your kid's sitter has been there. Make sure it's at least a year or 2. I'm sure the high turn over rate is due to the low pay. Would you want your kids being watched by minimum wage people? Spend the extra $$ and fine a quality learning facility.

We have been sending our kids to Luv-N-Care for a long time. They are so great with children here and you can tell they do it for the kids. After sending our children here, we would not send them anywhere other than one of these establishments given we had the choice.

Ratings_icons Nice center

Sara P. | insider Insider | Rank: 17,208

Personally, I think that this center is a lot over-priced for part-time care. I was looking for a center to put my son in on Tuesdays and Thursdays and they charge about $120 for 2 days a week PLUS a registration fee.

Ratings_icons Great daycare

Erica W. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,662

My godson has been going to this daycare for 3 years, and although at times it's a little unorganized, I think overall it's a great center. The staff seems to really love the kids, and my godson learns so much! It's definately at the top of our list for a daycare when we have kids!
