The reviews speak well of this place and it is no lie!! I found them working at a dealership about 7 years ago a lady walked in with an awesome haircut and I had to ask. She said 'ask for Mela' and that's where I've been getting my haircuts since then. Her sister Cynthia is awesome as well. The other lady's are really nice, I cant speak for the haircut since I only had my hair cut by Mela and Cynthia other people have had the other lady's cut their hair and it comes out really nice. I do suggest you call in advance and ask if its busy. That is what I do and prefer to go during the weekdays in the morning. Please don't go on weekends you will be disappointed with the wait. I've done that and have had to wait for 2 or 3 hours before they can see me. If you say "trim" they know what you mean. If you say 'one inch' they know what you mean as well. One time I went there on a week end and I waited an hour, decided to leave, I found another place that was still opened, let me tell you I left crying and never again will I try another salon other than Cynthia s. The other lady's do a wonderful job as well from what I've seen and have had my 4 year old sons hair cut there too. I love this place and would not trade it for anything.
Talent, Talent, Talent! That is all I have to say about Cinthia! She is excellent at doing both color and cuts! NOT a fancy salon but you don't pay the fancy salon prices either. You will not be dissappointed! They do not take appointments so you may have to wait, but well worth it!
This is a FANTASTIC place for haircuts and color. I love Cinthia and the rest of the staff. When I started going about 2 years ago, my hair was in a bob and now it is half way down my back. Cinthia knows just how to color the roots so my hair is not damaged and trim it to keep it healthy! I have NEVER been this happy with anyone who has done my hair!
My husband has started getting his hair cut there as well. FAMILY place with awsome prices and the hair cuts speak for themselves.
I read both reviews and just had to try it for myself. I had a really good experiance and would recomend this place to anyone. I got what I asked for, and more. The ladies were all really nice and friendly. I have tried other places that were much more expensive and would not go back. Can't wait for my next cut!
OMG, I only get a perm every 12 months, and they totally burned my hair!!! I got there around 5:30pm and did not get out until 8:30pm. The kids running around is nerve wrecking, and the prices are outrageous! It took me more than 7 years to grow my hair and it took them 3 hours to wreck it! WILL NOT GO BACK! I PAID $107 AND THEY CHARGED MY DEBIT $114.00 FOR A PERM ONLY, she did not have time to trim the ends.

OK, this place is not for everyone, but if you want a really (I mean REALLY) good haircut at a REALLY good price then it just might be the place for you.
Now, I'm not Hispanic so when I go to Cynthia's, I might get a few odd looks at first (since everyone else there is Hispanic), but for a $12 or $15 haircut with fancy salon-quality results, WHO CARES?
There are generally kids and babies everywhere, with entire families who come in together to get haircuts. On weekends, it's an absolute fiesta; young ladies coming in to get up-dos for special occasions and everyone chatting like they know each other.
Also, there's enough English spoken there that it's not a problem if you don't know Spanish. Now Cynthia's isn't a fancy place; don't expect refreshments and soothing new-age music like the uppity salons. Do expect a great cut.
PROS: Great haircuts, great prices
CONS: Long waits on weekends; no appointments
