The Church of Jesus Christ is a community of people, bound by a common faith, who believe that Jesus is Lord. University Presbyterian Church, part of the larger Church, is a family whose focus is a reconciling relationship with God, with one another, and with the world at large. Our mission is to provide for the development of spiritual growth and active discipleship needed to bring this vision into reality.
Worship is a source of strength to us as individuals and as a body. To be reconciled to God and to each other is both our goal and our theme. We expect excellent preaching and Biblically based services that are inspiring and relevant. We want to be challenged to think of our Lord and our mission in new ways.
We recognize that our relationship to God is bound together with our relationship to each other. We seek to provide Christian education for people of all ages. We emphasize the values of lay participation, diversity, creativity, and love for each other. The sense of unity of purpose should provide for a variety of fellowship opportunities for the congregation and the interest groups within it. Our pastor and church officers should actively engage in promoting our life as a church family.
We pray that our worship and fellowship will invigorate our mission outside the physical walls of our church.. University Presbyterian Children's Center
