Minimax is a fabulous neighborhood grocery store. I've been going to Minimax since I was a child, and my grandparents had gone to them when they first moved to Austin years ago. They have great prices. And even better than that is their friendly customer service.

This is an awesome little local grocery store! It is in the heart of the Crestview neighborhood. The staff here are very friendly. The prices are good, and they have a fantastic meat selection. We also like that they are often willing to donate ice or products to our daughter's elementary school when they have big events like carnivals, etc.
PROS: Awesome location, never too crowded, easy to find products

I love the friendly "hello" when I walk in the door to minimax and the help i get to my car. The management is friendly and the workers are young vibrant and fun to be around. I take time out of my everyday to come to this store and pick up my meals for the day, unlike big name stores where I feel I must get all my shopping done for the week so I dont have to put up with the long lines and unfriendly "help" I just go to minimax because it is real and very super cool.
Pros: Best friendly neighborhood store in town
Cons: no drawbacks
I try to shop here to support local Austin business, but I'm about to give up. The last four times, no one says hello, not even at checkout. No smiles, no greeting, no thanks when you leave. Miserable experience.
