Dr. Danielle Rosser, one of the original veterinarians here, is one of the best I've ever encountered. There's no question that she saved one of my dogs' life when he was poisoned. I've seen the treatments other vets give for the same symptoms. She went above and beyond the call, going in at night over the weekend, to make sure that he was still doing all right on his IV. He came out three days later happy and reasonably healthy, and continued to see her and improve to normalcy over the next two weeks. She is up-to-date on the latest treatments from A&M, and has done more-than-routine surgery to correct the malpractice operation done by another veterinarian on Westheimer. I would strongly recommend them.

West Alabama has cared for four of my cats over the years (and one cat's four kittens). I've taken them in for the routine checkups, spaying/neutering, as well as one serious case of Feline Leukemia. They board my cats when I'm out of town. My kitties seem to do fine.
PROS:
CONS: The parking lot is small. Park on the side street rather than on W. Alabam

This clinic takes care of both of my dogs needs. I have always had the best experiences with the doctors and the staff. I am always greeted with a smile from the receptionists, who know me and my pet by name every visit. Although this clinic is very fast paced and can be busy at times, they always take the time to explain to me what is going on. I also find the prices to be very reasonable. I recommend this clinic to everyone, especially if you are looking for quality care.
PROS: doctors and the staff
CONS:

They are quick. They are friendly, and there prices are very competitive. They're parking lot is tricky to get into and out of during rush hour, and that's the only negative that I can think of. I treat my pets as cherished members of the family, so I wouldn't take them there unless I felt they were awesome.

I use two vets, and this clinic is where I get my basic things done because they are much more reasonably priced than more boutiquey style offices. One nice thing is that thy have facilities to leave your pet there during the day if you need/want to. I dropped my kittens off for shots in the morning, and they kept them until I got off work and picked them up, which is handy. I don't know that I would do major surgery or anything there - the one vet I had seemed smart and nice but fairly young and inexperienced. Nonetheless, for shots, travel certificates and general exams or questions, they're my choice.
PROS: reasonably priced, drop off animals
CONS: some staff seem young and less experienced

Both of the veterinarians in this practice are die-hard cat lovers. I have taken my kitty there two years. He used to be sickly, and they changed his diet, which made a huge difference. He doesn't wheeze and sneeze snot everywhere now! These guys are pricey, but worth itt.
PROS: great cat care
CONS: pricey
