I just got my eyebrows done and they look great. The place is clean and calming, a very relaxing environment. And the staff is very welcoming. a great place to go for all services.

The way that she does eyebrows is so unique. Its hard to find a good cosmetologist and I'm glad i came acrossTara and her staff. Tara also has so many waxing services, I always trust her to make my expereince quick and pain easy. Tara and her staff are so professional and the things they use to beautify your face are also professional. The best part is that Tara's service is inexpensive for a salon full of professionals. The locations that Tara has chosen to build her salons are so convienient. No one can match there service. If you are in Austin this is a MUST go place if you don't go you are mising out, not to mention that Tara and her staff is coming out with AIR BRUSH tattoos soon which is a major plus I heard the starting price for that is seven dollars!

I decided to try getting my eyebrows threaded at Tara's this time. I was a little worried trying out a new place but I soon got over it. The salon had a very clean and appealing enviornment. I got my eyebrows shaped and the looked stunning! It was well worth the money. I highly recommend this salon to all women in the greater Austin area!

I've been here several times over the years only because I haven't found anything better yet (eyebrow threading and braz. waxing). What I realized is that everytime I go in especially for my eyebrows, it always with no fail come out different. Luckily I am not picky at all and just having cleaner eyebrows will make my day....until da dum! One of tara's associates (dooo try to get tara herself) gave me uneven eyebrows. It was horrible. But otherwise, not a bad place.

I always was troubled daily with applying eyeliner every morning. It was time consuming and I am a perfectionist. My dilemma was solved with a quick and easy solution. I went to Tara's Salon and spa at Barton Mall and they were able to place permanent eyeliner on my face. So far it has last me a couple of days and it won?t come off in the shower.

For valentines day I wanted to do something special for my husband. So I went to Tara's Salon to get a brazilian. I trusted her with my previous eyebrow waxes so I deceided to go big this time around...the wax was quick and lasted a long time. My husband loved it and I would go back again, possibly in time for summer!!

I recently choose to get an eyebrow threading for the first time and I went to the right place! At Tara's the employees are friendly and really know how to thread. The service was painless and afterwards I received a message on my eyebrows.

I have not been to Tara's Salon and Spa. I am also from Chicago and used to paying $6 for threading. I went to get waxed the other day and it's just not the same. Please, let me know if you find any places in Austin for threading that's more affordable.

I gave it three stars because if you go to Tara she is excellent, however DO NOT go to her employees. Tara does an excellent job at waxing and threading. Her employees left scars on my legs and bikini area after I have been waxing scar free for over 15 years.

I went to the Anderson location and what a mistake. Long story short, I asked for a Brazilian and walked out with patches of hair on the front and back while still being a waxy oily mess. I should have asked for a refund. I told her it was my first waxing of anything ever, and you would think that to be a cue for them to be gentle. After that didn't work I asked her to count so I could exhale and relax, and I had to ask her t\repeatedly before she finally complied. I can't believe I paid $65 for just a bunch of pain.

Pros: Place looks attractive.

Cons: 'Licensed" employee did not remove hair well at all. Messy experience.

I can agree with all the other reviews about how professional this place is from doing great Brazilian waxes to hair extensions but when it comes to eyebrow threading their charges are way to expensive..trust me girls..I'm coming from Chicago where eyebrow threading is not more than 6 dollars AND you get awesome results. I went to this salon based on the reviews some of you wrote and one review was how eyebrow threading was so cheap for only 8$ but i was shocked when they receptionist charged me 20$!!! i was like are you sure its 20$?At that moment i thought i could've gone to Nordstrom for 5$ more they charge 25$ for wax...please let me know if i am mistaken i would appreciate it.

I've been going to Tara's to get my eyebrows threaded for over a year now. After years of burning and irritating my skin with waxing, threading is natural and as painless as hair removal can be. The treatment is quick and my eyebrows always look clean and natural looking afterward - no pencil thin brows! If you are sick of waxing, give Tara's Salon and Spa a try!

I was leery about getting false lashes put on cause it's kind of expensive and I was worried they would look fake. However, Tara did a BEAUTIFUL job! She is very friendly and nice. Love the way my lashes look and have since tried threading and love that too! I highly suggest checking this place out for any beauty needs.

I had my entire face threaded! I went to the other place at Barton Creek mall also owned by Tara. I have darker hair and have always been self conscious about it. It was so much better than waxing because the top layer of my skin wasn't affected and therefore, I didn't leave with a red face. The process is quite quick and then pain is minimal....less than waxing. It was actually a relaxing experience. I am hooked.

Pros: Awesome service, painless, and she did a wonderful job.

Cons: At highland mall there are big windows so others walking by may see you getting your stash threaded.

I had never had a bikini wax and to say I was nervous is an underestimate! I mean I was SCARED.

I went upstairs with Tara and she was fast, professional and did a great job. It hurt- not going to lie but it was not as bad as I had originally thought. I never felt awkward or embarrassed.

I would highly recommend this place to any of my friends!

It took me years to build up the nerve to go in for a brazilian wax! After spending time Googling, researching & reading the reviews, I decided to go to Tara's Salon in Austin. Now, I'm wondering WHY I waited so long! Tara did a superb job! She made me feel instantly relaxed, was very quick & professional. The area where they do the waxing is bright, clean & private. You go up to the second floor (using a majestic, grand staircase), you have access to a bathroom, & the wax is on a roller, so it takes less time to apply. Also, Tara is very quick to pull off the hair & makes conversation while she's doing it. Sure the more sensitive areas made me cringe for a SECOND... but she was thorough & pleasant & didn't make it feel awkward or weird! I will definitely be going back. I do recommend bringing your own towel, though, for the wax, if you're modest.

I also had my legs waxed & again, zippity quick & smooth... and had my brows & upper lip threaded. I had never heard of the technique before, but, again - I'm hooked. The end result was the most smooth, hairless job ever done. I've always used tweezers & doubt I'll ever go back to that! She did a MUCH better job. The area just under the nostrils was a little painful, but really worth the end result. Afterwards, she massaged lotion into the areas - felt like a mini facial massage!

I know there has to be a better word than AMAZING... but Tara & the services she offers are truly amazing. They fill a long needed niche in the beauty treatments offered in Austin. I'm looking forward to having additional services for my next visit. Maybe a massage or facial or the mendhi. They sound great.

BTW, the cost was about $150.00 for the brazilian & leg wax (essentially, everything from waist down!) & the brow & upper lip threading. I was there for about an hour & a half.

Pros: Quick & somewhat painless, clean, the cost, & easy to get to.

Threading and waxing services were superior. I have been to many salons for bikini and brazilian waxes across the US and have never had better service than at Tara?s today. A ?reputable? local salon I had been to many times before called me when I was already on my way to my appointment and cancelled for the second in a row. I went home and got on the computer and found Tara?s. Tara fit me in was extremely professional and efficient. The eyebrow threading also looks great, was fast, and was practically painless. I?m sold. This is my new salon.

This is an amazing salon and spa. I recieved great service from Tara and her talented staff. This is a must go place if you want to experience a real spa. I had hair extensions, eyebrow threading, and a facial. It was amazing. I strongly recommend the this salon!

This is the best place where you can get you eyebrows shaped with a thread. The threading technique is quick and is not painful. Tara has a natural gift for this art. This is an amazing place that you must visit. I also got the waxing treatment which was amazing.

I made an appointment with Tara for waxing. It was the best waxing experience I have ever had. I have been to many other salons in the Austin area, but this salon was the most professional salon. This was

Tara does an incredibly fast and effective wax! She threaded my eyebrows as well, and it was amazing. I can't imagine that there is anyone who is more skilled in the technique. The atmosphere is friendly, and it is a good place to experiment- try something you have never done before!

Tara is by far the most efficient, cost-effective, and pleasant professional in the business in Austin. I have paid double at other salons for a bikini wax, but have never been as satisfied as I was at Tara's. It was quick and painless, but thorough. On the same visit I also had my eyebrow's threaded for the first time and am VERY impressed. I have tried several other salons in town and am convinced Tara's is the best for hair removal.

I had never done anything to my eyebrows for fear of totally messing them up. Tara did a great job and I am so happy with the way it has opened up my face and eyes. Threading is fast and relatively painless compared to waxing and plucking. I recommend her highly.

I found Tara's to offer great services for a great value! Where else can you get an hour long facial and an hour long swedish massage for only $120! I have spent that much for just an hour long massage at some other spas in town and did not receive the same treatment and care as I did at Tara's. I will definitely be returning and bringing a friend! Also ask about their express pedicures and manicures. These are great when you just need to retouch and don't have time for the full thing!
