First, the only reason I am giving this location one star is because I can't give it zero stars.

Second, IF you choose to buy here, talk with Becky from pre-owned sales.

If you buy Pre-Owned here, you are a second-class citizen. This is proven by the way they treat you and the way that they treat their whole pre-owned business. The building for their Pre-Owned business is disgusting, cheaply built, and cheaply furnished.

The finance officer (Jon/John P) we were working with was extremely rude, implied (multiple times) that we were not good parents (and that I was not a good provider) because we did not buy the warranty.

We scheduled a windshield repair appointment with their service department, and when my wife showed up for the appointment, we were told we didn't have one (extremely frustrating). I had to call the service department manager in order to get this whole thing fixed. After the car was fixed, they forgot to notify us that the car was finished and ready to be picked up. I had to call them to find out what the status of the car was.

Then, the moment my wife left the lot, the check engine light came on. When we took it back to see what the issue was, they informed us that we need a new Catalytic Converter (about $1500 repair). What!? We have owned this car for less than two weeks!

Horrible customer service, horrid communication, worst car buying experience ever.

Do not buy here.

I'm not very happy with my most recent experience. I paid extra for the service plan to get my oil changed and what not. I went to get my oil changed and my tires rotated and immediately an hour after I left my tire light came on and I had to find more time to go to discount tire to have them turn the light off which comes on anytime your tires are rotated. The service guy was nice and he gave me a pamphlet but they should of known my tire light would have come on after they rotated my tires and they should of went ahead and cleared it I was a little annoyed by that. Overall it was a okay experience.

I had such great time at McDavid Honda. Here's why:
1- I asked for a Crosstour with a specific color and options. They didn't have one on the lot. The sales person drove all the way to Oklahoma to grab one for me.
2- When the car came in, it didn't have the options we agreed on. They put on everything I was looking for, for free.
3- Got a 4WD instead of a 2WD for the same price. Very nice of them.
4- During the whole wait time, they let me use whatever car they had on the lot. I picked a CRV. I had the car for a few days.

Very friendly staff and caring people. I'd go back to them again.

Jim Huddleston is a Certified Advisor with David McDavid Honda of Frisco and took the time to answer any and all questions I asked about the service done on my Honda Pilot. Ben Issekssioui also works in the Service department at the dealership and will answer any and all questions too. These two gentlemen helped me get out of the dealership both times I was in quickly and efficiently. If you ever need to buy a car, Ace Meason is a sales consultant there. Any college graduate post-2008 is quite familiar with the words "debt", "loans", and "bills". It's easy to tack on getting a new car to the list of stresses. However, when I visited David McDavid Honda in Frisco, I didn't have to. I was greeted right away by my salesman, Darren Smith, and was able to be as frank and down-to-Earth as possible. Darren had a great personality and sense of humor and had no trouble understanding and connecting to a recent college graduate like myself. We were able to find the perfect fit for myself, and I confidently drove out of the lot the same-day with my new Honda Civic lease. I can't stress enough how much personality and empathy helped a buying process that's otherwise quite difficult on a young, inexperienced buyer. Bought a 2012 Odyssey from McDavid Frisco. Overall, I would say it was your typical car sales experience. Nice at first, but when it came down to completing the sale, the gloves came off. Not happy at all with the finance mgr who tried to sell me an extremely overpriced extended warranty, nor the 3 yr/36 mo "scheduled maintenance" which only included about 7 oil changes for $475.

Ultimately, I feel I got the price I wanted but only after threatening to walk twice and at the last minute being told they could drop the price "a little more". Took more than 4 hours from start to finish to purchase the car, which was too long.

I have been a customer of McDavid Honda of Frisco for about 7 months now. I have my car serviced there 3 times, and I just love them. Mr. Julio Reyes gives me excellent service for my non-Honda car. They are a 'equal opportunity' car maintenance people, and they are 'good peoples'. I am now in the market for a new car, and guess where I'm going? You got it, I wouldn't trust any one else... And they are getting my business, because never pushed me to buy a car while I was there. I like that!

I have been a customer of David McDavid Honda for over eight years. I currently utilized David McDavid Honda service for ALL of the service of my new Pilot. Paola Tang is absolutely the best. I love the ownership that he takes of my vehicle. He's very open and honest and extremely forthright about pricing. He tells me what can be done now, what can be done later and what I absolutely should not drive away without having completed.

I really appreciate this type of honesty in a business relationship. I never feel that they are marking up costs.

Since Honda has such a wonderful reputation regarding resell value and quality of construction (I drove my last Honda...a Civic for 12 years), it really is to the dealer's advantage to keep the cars in "tip top" shape.

I've never had a bad experience. The shuttle takes me to nearby locations (i.e. IKEA and Stonebriar Mall) while my car is being serviced and picks me up when the service is complete. That is another huge advantage because I never feel that my entire off day is lost with waiting and waiting and waiting on service. I feel that I'm still able to run errands and complete items from my "to do" list.

If, however, I have to wait, the waiting area is extremely sufficient. Complimentary water, coffee, tea, WiFi, computers, television and even a play area for children are all available for clients. They have really thought of everything to make the experience much more convenient for the customers.

I must admit that I will not take my car anywhere else.

Pros:
Wayne Brandon, salesman, was great to deal with. He was not pushy at all and tried his best to get us a great deal and gave us really good customer service.
Brian Billingsly, delivery, was very nice and patient while going over our new car. He gave us excellent service!!!

Cons:
Financing dpt (wont mention name) was not 100% truthful with us. I understand sales tactics but simply lying to a customer about something is not good for business.
Also ddnt get the deal i was offered initially but still got a fair deal and because of the service provided by Wayne, we bought the car from them.

Overall- would buy from dealer again if given same type of customer service that was provided by Wayne Brandon and Brian Billingsly.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! If you care at all about your vehicle, DO NOT take it here.

Here are the highlights of my experience with David McDavid:
1) Told me my car (taking off the door and putting a new one one) would take 4 days, it took 15. Over $600 in rental car fees, which they do not reimburse for their mistake. Extra cost= $400

2) "Lost" my two week old service inspection for my car. No explanation. Have to get it re-inspected = $41

3) The door they replaced was taken off an old car and the paint was chipped and peeled, cost to TOTALLY REDO THE "WORK" David McDavid did = $1200 + 2 MORE WEEKS OF MY TIME

4) Killed the battery in my car. They drove it out to me in front of the office, I drove it home and turned it off. Went out to my car the next morning, the relatively new battery was DEAD, cost of calling someone to jump me = $57 + 2 hours of my time.
Cost of new battery = $121 + 1 hour of my time.

As if this were not enough, they tried to return my car to me with the paneling missing along the sides. There were HUGE white streaks on my car where the paneling should have been. I asked the guy, "Is this how you usually return cars?" He shrugged. I think that says it all.

This dealership is pathetic. I will never be back, and I plan to tell everyone I know about the horrible service I received. With the extra costs and time, I am in disbelief that this dealership stays open. I had Rod as my "service manager"... ha. He was good for calling me and telling me my car would "for sure be done tomorrow" THREE TIMES... not sure if he was lying or just wanted to get rid of me. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking on my rental car rates. I asked to be contacted by the manager, shockingly, that never happened. Worst, most disappointing experience of my life.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! If you care at all about your vehicle, DO NOT take it here.

Here are the highlights of my experience with David McDavid:
1) Told me my car (taking off the door and putting a new one one) would take 4 days, it took 15. Over $600 in rental car fees, which they do not reimburse for their mistake. Extra cost= $400

2) "Lost" my two week old service inspection for my car. No explanation. Have to get it re-inspected = $41

3) The door they replaced was taken off an old car and the paint was chipped and peeled, cost to TOTALLY REDO THE "WORK" David McDavid did = $1200 + 2 MORE WEEKS OF MY TIME

4) Killed the battery in my car. They drove it out to me in front of the office, I drove it home and turned it off. Went out to my car the next morning, the relatively new battery was DEAD, cost of calling someone to jump me = $57 + 2 hours of my time.
Cost of new battery = $121 + 1 hour of my time.

As if this were not enough, they tried to return my car to me with the paneling missing along the sides. There were HUGE white streaks on my car where the paneling should have been. I asked the guy, "Is this how you usually return cars?" He shrugged. I think that says it all.

This dealership is pathetic. I will never be back, and I plan to tell everyone I know about the horrible service I received. With the extra costs and time, I am in disbelief that this dealership stays open. I had Rod as my "service manager"... ha. I have purchased two vehicles from Frisco Honda and use their service department. While during the purchases there was some negotiation, which I expected, there were no real surprises. I know I'm not the easiest one to sell to, but the folks there are great to work with. I don't know what it is about some car dealerships but in the past most treated me badly or I felt I was being taken advantage of being a women. Not true at this dealership. I would recommend anyone I know to Frisco Honda. I feel so strongly about my experiance, this is the third review about them I've written.

I was looking at cars on a pretty busy Saturday in my eyes. I wasn't looking to buy a car right then, more or less just seeing what my options were. The sales manager actually helped me with a few of my questions with comparing 2 cars, what my options were etc. I was very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, willingness to help even knowing i wasn't going to get a car that day.

I had been dealing with Mcdavid for almost one week now and they promised that they sell me the car with the add ons for a price that was quoted via email. But when i went to finalize the deal, Guess what, they increased their prices by around 1000$ more...These are one such dealers who just give you a low quote to drag you inside their showroom and then leave you hanging once you are in. I would advice everybody reading this review, to think twice and trust a bad review more than a good review since the good ones might be written by themselves.

DONT BUY FROM McDAVID. I AM VERY UPSET TODAY AND DONT WANT YOU TO BE UPSET TOO LATER ON.

I'm currently in the market for a new car and am shopping around. David McDavid's showroom, staff, and theater room blew me away. I only had to explain once that I was "only looking" and salespeople made sure to let me look. Occassionally someone would ask if I had any questions, but I was left alone to seriously consider my future purchase. I did not have my three year old son on that trip, but it would have been fine if I did. There's a place to watch movies, a place to play, and lots of toys. It's a place I'll go back to and certainly recomend to others.

They have a "theater" room with a large plasma screen and comfortable seating, a regular waiting area with an average size plasma screen, clean restrooms, and a very helpful staff.

This is the 4th Honda I've purchased and the Frisco Dealership stands head and shoulders above my experiences with other dealerships. I also purchased 2 Honda's from David McDavid Irving when I lived on that side of town. David McDavid has invested $$ in the Frisco location.

They have a "theater" room with a large plasma screen and comfortable seating, a regular waiting area with an average size plasma screen, clean restrooms, and a very helpful staff.

I originally went in for service and left with a new car. The service people I encountered were very accomodating. The new car was unplanned although I felt no pressure to buy and did receive a good deal. Five stars all around!

PROS: New facility, Famiy friendly, Helpful, Quick turnaround
CONS: Surprised selection/car lot wasn't bigger or fuller
