Its an okay church but...
by Thomas L.
For any English and or Vietnamese family looking to go join a catholic parish , personally, you are better off going to an English church because even though they are cultural and traditional, they are poorly run and are not a safe environment for the young children. And also there is only one mass in English/bilingual on Saturdays only at 6:00 PM.
Another factor is the Weekend school of Vietnamese language and religious education. From what I heard not all the teachers there are certified by the VIRTUS training that the archdiocese requires and therefore don't create the learning environment for the children.
The only occasion that the church specializes in is the now yearly winter weekend festival that consists of raffle drawings, concerts, food & game booths.
The low-down is that the although the church tries to maintain its Vietnamese heritage, they still need to fix all the minor issues to keep the stability of the church for the future generations as less people now attend.

This church is rather far away from my house, but sometimes they have special events in which my parents like to attend. Like many other Vietnamese churches, theres only one mass which is not in Vietnamese. Also, this church is very cultural and traditional. I dont go here regularly, only during special occasions. Basically, this church only appeals to Vietnamese people.
