one of the best

by Karen P. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,309

Got a pedicure done here and it was one of the best I had gotten in a long time. She didnt spend her time chit chatting with her coworker next to her and she didnt get up and leave ten times like some places. All attention was on service and relaxation. Price was comparable as well.

Great Spa and Wonderful Getaway!

by snarredondo1

I am a massage therapist, and have been to many spas looking for the level of service and relaxation that I want to provide to my own clients. I have finally found it!! Pure provides an awesome waterhouse, great for relaxing and letting all the worries of life fade away quickly. I had a facial with Paula and she was absolutely amazing. I have never had a better facial at any other Spa that I've been to. I had a wonderful massage and body scrub...there's even a shower within the room...Who could ask for more? After done with my services, I was escorted to the unique waterhouse, and enjoyed a dip in their huge, 10-person sauna. They even have a steamroom to help sweat away extra toxins released during the massage. I was given an option of hot tea, lemonade, or a glass of wine. I felt like a queen, and the service was definitely better than I have seen in a really long time. I would definitely go back. I did read the review below, and I MUST comment on it! I am a licensed massage therapist. This person claims that they are an attorney, and it is NOT against the law to massage someone that is 11 wks pregnant. If she were a little more familiar with massage ethics, codes, and requirements, she would know that it is against every rulebook to massage a female within their first trimester. During this time, the fetus' development is crucial. A massage releases toxins into the bloodstream. The toxins are lethal to the health of the fetus and that is why massage is definitely not allowed within these vital weeks. As for the receptionist informing the client that they could do the massage, this might have been a mistake; however, only a licensed massage therapist who has been through proper educating would know this. Excuse the therapist for having concern for her unborn child. Sorry, but I did love this spa, and I think the previous client's ignorance is no reason to bash a great place. It just shows how much they care about their clients!

Pros: Ambience, Service, Relaxation, Unique

Cons: None!

A JOKE OF A SPA

by jas8772

Don't bother. I had a gift certificate from my folks to use so I scheduled a massage for myself, and also massages for each of my parents when they came to visit. I was VERY clear with the girl who scheduled the massages that I would be 11 weeks pregnant. I specifically asked if I would need a pre-natal massage and was told that they did not offer those until later in pregnancies. When I called closer to the appointment to confirm I again informed the person at the front desk that I was pregnant and was told, again, that it would not be a problem. When we got to the spa on the day of the appointments, we signed in and went to wait for our appointments. At that time, one of the therapists came out and informed me that "under the law" they could not touch me during the 1st trimester and there was no one there who could give me a prenatal massage that day. 1st of all, this was a lie. I am an attorney and there is no such law. It may be a business rule, but it is not law. 2nd, this place was given TWO opportunities to tell me that there would be a problem with my being pregnant - and I even specifically ASKED about it, not once but twice. My parents and I all left and they thought they were being nice by not charging us for the canceled appointments! The customer service sucked, they lied to us and the nitwits at the front desk clearly have no idea what goes on behind the desk (and have no qualms about fabricating rules if they don't know what they are). Save yourself the potential hassle with the idiot staff and go to a real spa like Za Spa or The Crescent. This place is a joke.

Better then most Beverly Hill Spas!

by bhj

I just moved from Los Angeles about a year ago and have been looking for a professional and relaxing spa like the one I used to go to in Beverly Hills. Pure Spa is just that and more. Kristen, the esthetician is not only beautiful, she is such a professional she makes you feel comfortable in every type of treatment! She definitely is well educated on all of the procedures unlike some spas. The environment is extremely tranquil and relaxing. The yhave monthly specials for every type of person to enjoy! And if you are a member of Trophy gym you get an extra 10% treatments! FYI don't let the construction going on get in the way....it is definitely a hidden gem!

Such a blissful ambience

by lila809

I love this spa! If you are tired, stressed or just feel like getting spoiled, you should seriously consider going there. The staff is great - I usually take a combination package that always includes one of their massage treatments, hot stones being my favorite.

Great pedicure!!!

by mt214

I went in for my second pedicure in my lifetime and it was great! I even told the pedicurist that this pedicure was different from my first one I had because it didn't hurt! She was very gentle. I had the Spring special pedicure and it was fabolous. Well worth the price for the service that I was given. My nails looks great and the foot massage was just heaven. If you go to Pure Spa for a pedicure make sure to do the special or the spa pedicure. Its longer than their regular pedicure if you want your feet to be pampered a little bit more. You'll absolutely love the setting of the spa. Very clean and the pedicure takes place in a private area. Excellent for me to just relax and enjoy my service. I went on a weekday so they are not as busy as the start of the weekend would be as I was told. I will definetly be back!

Pros: The service

Cons: None

Average Mani/Pedi

by csh1

I went in for a mani/pedi and it was ok, average at best and I'm glad I had the citysearch coupon offer because I would have been upset if I had to pay full price for that average service I could have recieved anywhere.

Fabulous Deep Tissue

by ncunder

I adore deep tissue massages, and there is nothing worse than a therapist who does it so softly that
it's not deep or so intensely that you're sore for days afterwards ... luckily, Pure Spa gets it just right! My deep tissue massage there was perfect, the service was friendly and professional, and the hot tub
in the waterhouse was the perfect destination at the end of the service. But, be forewarned, you must bring a bathing suit because the water house is co-ed!

Best Aesthetician in the city

by dsm01

Recently, I visited Pure for a facial and a better understanding of Botox, etc. The aesthetician (Kristin) was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and explained many different procedures in detail. I am so excited to get Botox for the first time. It is Fabulous. She lifted my brows, turned the corners of my mouth up and I am very pleased! Thanks Pure!! She definitely knows her business!

Pros: Knowleable Staff

Cons: None - that i observed

Great for group outings!

by petma7

We planned an outing for a group of girls at work, and it was perfect! Pure has an amazing Water House with a Jacuzzi, shower, sauna, and plenty of room to relax and visit, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely be using this place for my bachelorette party and as my Mother?s Day gift this year! I received a massage and foot bath, and the service and quality were excellent!

Pros: ambience, friendliness, services offered

So Relaxing!

by bnb99a

I had a recent massage and body wrap at Pure Spa that was amazing! My massage therapist greeted me with water in the Bath House (that is really cool with a sauna and hot tub), and then I had an excellent massage, followed by the body wrap. They really paid attention to details, even to the point of making sure my shoes were in place when I got off the table. The Body Wrap room is really nice, with the shower right next to the table! Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I will make this a regular appointment on my calendar! Thanks to the massage therapist, Laura!

Don't bother!

by CarissaHampton

I was a repeat customer of Pure but will NEVER go back again!!!

I made an appointment for a trim and took off from work to make the late afternoon booking. I called in on the drive there to let them know that I was en route and was told that my stylist was not scheduled to work that day, therefore I didn't have an appointment. Despite the fact that I had been given an appointment with her I just asked if there was anyone else that could work me in. The girl at the desk kept me on hold for over five minutes until I gave up and called back. She said that someone could see me in 40 minutes, so I said that I would stop and run and errand and see her in 30 minutes. When I showed up, the girl I talked to was on the phone and the other girl at the front rudely told me that my appointment was for the next day. When my girl got off the phone she said that it was for the next day and that my original appointment had also been for the next day. Since I had only called in the night before and I was flying out on the day that they said I had made an appointment for, this didn't make any sense. Also, the girl I had just talked to on the phone told me to come in 30 minutes. They acted as though it was MY FAULT and were so rude that I finally lost my cool and told them they wouldn't have to worry about me ever coming back again.

The haircuts are good, but it's not worth it if you can't depend on having an appointment. There are too many salons to get burned like this twice in one day!

Absolutely Awesome!

by CindyfromOK

I just moved to Dallas. I was searching for a new stylist and I needed someone who was good with blondes...and highlights. I was referred to Pure stylist Monica. She was amazing! She was friendly and professional...and absolutely knew how to do blonde the right way! The salon atmosphere was great. It was hip, yet not stuffy.

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Heaven in Dallas

by bunnie523

If you are looking for a place to go get pampered or maybe to send your sweetie to get pampered.
Pure is the place to go by far in Dallas. I went & had the best spa expierence I have ever had.
Peaceful & welcoming from the min you step in the door. You go in, head to the locker room to get changed into a cozy robe & then step into the Waterhouse. It is amazing. While waiting you can sip a cup of green chai tea or some yummy lemonade. Then you are whisked away to be pampered. Try the Thai Body Treatment, I left with skin so soft , my husband coouldnt keep his hands off! Well worth the treat. Linda has magic hands. And then I had a massage. Like Linda, Laura is awesome!.I had to peel myself off the table Speaking of tables. The massage tables are HEATED!!!!
Oh my I felt in heaven. I ddnt want to leave.
All in all, the best place in Dallas, I will be sharing several of the business cards I picked up with my firends & will be going back again soon. Rate 12 out of 10!

Pros: Everything. Well worth your time & money

Indulgent Spa Experience--Very Classy, Professional Service

by mejw7804

My trip to Pure was easily one of the best spa experiences I've ever had. The service was very welcoming and it was relaxing and comforting from beginning to end. I had the signature facial first, and it was wonderful! My skin felt like new afterwards. The technician took the time to assess my needs first and cater the treatment to my particular skin type and problems. I had a massage next, which was also perfect. I was around 20 weeks pregnant at the time, and the therapist made me very comfortable. It was a great relief for all of those aches and pains that come with pregnancy! I finished up with a pedicure, and I can honestly say it was the best I?ve had. It lasted for weeks! I also really enjoyed the water house waiting room between services. It was warm and comfortable and very relaxing. When I finished with one treatment, the therapist would walk me back to the water house where I would hang out and relax for the few minutes until the next therapist came to get me. It was fun and relaxing at the same time. I felt very pampered. I can?t wait to go back?this is what all spas should be like!

Pros: Friendly and Professional Service, Great Ambiance, Perfect way to pamper yourself

Cons: None!

PURE spa experience

by krisb211

I think it is safe to say that I'm pretty much a regular at Pure - the place is perfect! It has an accessible location, very convenient hours, offers every service you need from hair to manicures to massages to botox, competitve prices, friendly and professional staff, and connected to a gym for a total overall wellness experience.
If you haven't given this place a try, you owe it to your self. I've had manicures, pedicures, massages, hair cuts, facials, waxes and can honestly say each experience has been exactly what I was looking for. I definitely will continue to be a regular at Pure!

Pros: Convenient hours (open later than most), variety of services, relaxing atmosphere, great service

Cons: I can't go every day!

best prenatal massage, soothing ambiance, professional & welcoming staff

by acharris77

From the second I walked in the door the staff was welcoming and very helpful. Even though the spa was busy for a Saturday...the staff and other clientele were able to keep the energy very calm and serene. It truly felt as if I had stepped out of my hectic life for an afternoon being at Pure. I've been to several spas around the country and since I've been pregnant I've had at least 5 prenatal massages...my massage at Pure was by far the best.
I also had a manicure and pedicure and must say they did an excellent job. Both the manicure and pedicure seemed to have lasted a lot longer than where I usually go to have that done. During my treatment the sweet girls working there were happy to offer me something to drink while I relaxed and enjoyed my treatment.
The only disappointment I have is that I don?t live in Dallas to frequent the spa more often. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a peaceful, professional, and rewarding experience to go to Pure Spa in Dallas.

Pros: wonderful services, helpful and welcoming staff, central location in Dallas...can't wait to return!

Cons: The only con: I don't live in Dallas to go to Pure more often

Wonderful customer service, hard to find these days!!!

by adrianesharmeling

A wonderful Spa AND Salon.
Very professional staff and if something doesn't quite live up to expectations, they will make it right (hasn't been a problem though). Just wanted to note their great attitude all around. I have used many of their services: Body Glow, Spray Tan, IPL laser treatment, Microderm, Haircut/Lowlight/Highlight (the most hair-healthy color experience ever and lots and lots of compliments!!!) I have been happy with all and the staff always wants to make sure you are happy with your experience!
The Waterhouse is a great place for a bachelorette party or girls outting!
Easy to get to and convienent parking as well!
Give it a whirl, I promise you a great experience!

Pros: The Staff

Cons: Not a one thus far

Pampered excellent customer service! Read below : my story.......

by calgal4u2

Beautiful Spa, pampered service. This is such a great place. I was there for a service and a gal called in while I was waiting that had an emergency huge blemish situation on a Friday morning! The front desk gal called the esthetician immediately and called her in for the emergency client and even gave her a free mini micro to help her overall complexion. This may not sound like a big deal to you guys, but for a single gal on a Friday this is what we call excellent service! They really do care about you here and will go the extra mile for what ever your needs are. If you have a girls day/night planned you may want to try booking the ?Water room ?, it?s the coolest thing I have ever seen! Call and find out why?. Bye for now!

Pros: It's connected to a gym too so if you want to work out as well it's perfect!

Cons: none!

so relaxing, just what i needed after a long day!

by purespaandsalon

i just got a massage and body wrap at pure and it was so relaxing. the spa is really nice with a contemporary vibe. there is a eucalyptus steam room that you can use before your service which was really nice -- and free with my service. the atmosphere is really peaceful and the massage therapist was wonderful. i think the prices are great too - lower than other places i've been in the area but you get more. they also do hair and nails so i'm planning a return trip for some maintenance!

Pros: great value, wonderful massage therapist, nice staff, eucalyptus steam room

Cons: kind of hard to find on the back side of the building they are in

Great salon, beautiful facility!

by debra_w24

Pure is a really wonderful salon & spa. I've gone to Lance for a haircut and really loved it - he's done hair for movie sets and celebrities! The place is beautiful on the inside with a really contemporary and modern decor. I've also gotten a massage from Laura and it was super relaxing. I spent time in the steam room and whirlpool beforehand and really enjoyed that (plus that part is free). The staff was all so helpful and welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed.
I felt I needed to comment on my experience when I saw that not so nice review below. I really don't know what that person is referring to about the products - the products I saw were all really high end like Pureology for hair and Epicuren for skin - you certainly won't see those in a drugstore!

Pros: great staff, beautiful facility, steam room, good parking

Cons: didn't find any
