I went to Stereo East because they are the only store that carries a particular line of PSB speakers I was interested in. I had read some reviews which have not been great but my feeling on reviews is that typically only angry people write them. One of their sales guys came out to my house to help me decide what would be right for my room. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. I ended up purchasing my Media room package from them at a fantastic deal and couldn't be happier. The tech's were flat out awesome. They set up a universal remote for me that's so simple, even my wife can use it. I definitely recommend them.

High prices, cheap store branded product, rude salesman. My builder recommeneded them. Won'y make that mistake again. I checked with my neighbors and they told me the same thing.

Poor Service and Overprice

There are about 20 techs and 2 are certified. They use cheap cat 5 wire and did not install the wire properly, so they had to reroute the wire and ripped the sheetrock. All the merchandise is overprice and they will not discount. The manger would not let you speak to the owner, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I would give it zero stars if possible. One salesman was making rude comments behind my back when he thought I was not listening. I heard him do it to another customer as well. The prices and selection were not great. The only angle they have is that they get referred from a few home builders, so they can offer to roll in the cost to the mortgage. Only way to sell it since they are too high.

Stereo East was awesome back in the day when laserdiscs were huge and DVDs were non existent. They had a huge selection of practically every LD in existence. Well when DVD's came out, they clearanced them all, and so you could find some really cheap. Now they have one of hte largest selections of DVDs. Not only that, but you can find your next stereo, or home theater equipment. They have theater and sound rooms to hear how awesome everything sounds. The staff is friendly, they help you load in your car, and are very knowledgeable about their products. Conveniently located, and conveniently priced, this place has it all.
