I cannot recommend Eye Trends - Meyerland

I cannot recommend this company. I faced quality control and customer service problems with every phase of the process. It took more than 11 weeks and 5 visits to get my glasses. They were manufactured by the lab three times before they were correct.
I went to the Eye-Trends Meyerland Plaza office for an exam and eyeglasses on 14 July 2009. When I tried the first pair, the images in the two lenses did not converge, so they sent them back to the lab. I was told that the interpupillary distance had been incorrect. In the next pair, the images were "ghosted" and wouldn't converge. The O.D. on site re-measured my prescription and found it had not been correct.
It took five more weeks to get the third and final pair. During that time, I made three phone calls to request a status report. Their response each time was to promise to find my file and call me back. It never happened. It took a personal visit and a talk with the owner to finally get my glasses.
To add insult to injury, when I picked up the glasses I asked for a copy of all the documents in my file. I was told that under HIPAA they were only allowed to send them to another doctor. I read her the paragraph in their own privacy notice that granted me that right, but she nonetheless refused. They called me an hour after I left to let me know that they had decided to make them available to me after all.
