The best by far!  5 Star Rating - World class

This was an amazing school to go to! Mr. Horton is so good with teaching, its unreal. He didn't make me feel like an idiot when i messed up behind the wheel and gave words of encouragement. And the new owners Mike and Barbara are extremely nice. When i didnt have my driving time finished when my 6 months were done, Barbara helped me get all the time i needed scheduled and wasn't rude about it at all. If a student has a problem with anyone there they should put on their big girl/boy pants on and say "could you please not talk about that with me" etc. I had a great experience there and i still go back to visit every so often! So take your child to Longhorn Driving School!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE....dont ever choose this school  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Joining Longhorn driving school was the worst decision I took. The instructors are rude ,they have no patience and they insult you at every opportunity they get. They humiliate you and act as if they are doing a huge favor by teaching you how to drive. So don't make the same mistake as I did.OPT FOR ANOTHER SCHOOL!!..

The worst!!!! Choose another facility-file complaints if you had a problem  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

My daughter had problem with one of the instructors (the obese one), he was asking her personal questions and made demeaning remarks about her, totally unprofessional!!! The instructor was more worried about getting donuts then driving, he also was making comments about his marriage, totally weird and inappropriate conversation with kids.

I filed a complaint with TEA (they license driving schools) regarding the conduct of this instructor. If there is a complaint send it to TEA so than can log the complaints that is the only way things will change. If you complain to the school nothing will get done.

Here is what should be done.

COMPLAINTS If you believe that a driver training class was presented inappropriately, either due to its content, its presentation, a reduced class length, or instructor misconduct, please contact the Driver Training Investigative Unit at Jim.Crenshaw@tea.state.tx.us or call (512) 936-6777, or send a fax to (512) 936-6799. A general complaint form in Microsoft Word format is at www.tea.state.tx.us /drive/Complaint.doc and a PDF version of a general complaint form is at www.tea.state.tx.us /drive/complaint.pdf .

Patient and worth the cost!  4 Star Rating - Very good

I took my youngest daughter to Longhorn a few years ago to help her with her driving skills (Lord knows she needed it)! The instructors are very patient and offer tips on driving that she couldn't have gotten anywhere else. The cost was high but well worth knowing there's a more informed, safe driver on the road!
