I have the most curly, kinky, dry, unmanagable hair on the planet. I've made the rounds in the greater Houston area from the most expensive, to the most obscure and been disappointed more than imaginable. I found this site... I gave Sherrie a try. That was two years+ ago and no one else will be touching my hair again. She is the Goddess of hair. I have seen many of her clients with all kinds of hair leave her salon with "magazine quality styles". She is so good that when my mother came to visit I took her too. She was thrilled with her cut and the color. Sherrie will WOW your hair at a reasonable price.

Sherrie is by far the best stylist that I have ever had. I?d been trying to find a stylist who could color my hair but still make it look natural, and after visiting Sherrie, I knew that I did not need to look any further.

To begin, Sherrie is extremely knowledgeable about hair color, cuts, and styling. At first, I was questionable about getting lowlights to make my newly blonde hair look naturally blonde. However, Sherrie has a wealth of experience with styling and color, and she put all my worries at ease. After listening to what I wanted and explaining the basics behind color, she told me exactly what she was going to do (base color and then a few lowlights) and then worked her magic. My hair, of course, came out looking wonderful and much more natural, which is exactly what I wanted. In addition, Sherrie gave me an awesome cut?I wanted a little less than an inch off and some layers?and she even styled it with a round brush to give it that voluminous, salon look that I love! To top things off, Sherrie gave me two sets of products to try for free because I could not decide between two different shampoos and conditioners?talk about making a woman happy!

I cannot say enough about Sherrie and how great she is. She makes you feel right at home, and she focuses entirely on you and nothing else when you?re with her. I guarantee that ANYONE (and yes, I mean anyone!) that uses Sherrie will not leave the salon unhappy!

Sherrie took alot of time with me explaining what she thought was the problem with my color and what she proposed to do about it. She was skilled as well as quick and efficient. I loved the color she came up with. She's an absolute professional, besides being a warm, friendly and open person.

Cons: I live a few miles from the salon, but the color is worth the trip

I found Sherrie and Impact Salon on yahoo local and researched her salon. I could tell she was very into the color process of hairstyling and I needed to get highlights. I looked at her numerous reviews and her clients' before and after pictures and gave her a call. Like most women, even if you have money, you still don't like to go into the stuffy salons where they don't listen to you and you pay outrageous prices. As soon as I walked into her salon, I felt like I was at home. We went over what I wanted, she gave suggestions and she went to work. My hair is thick and long and I kept her there from 5:30 to 10:30! The color came out great, but what surprised me was my actual haircut...I wanted two inches cut off and a reshape-ing of my layers...and the cut came out fabulous...bouncier, more framing and layers and more swing!...If you are weary of going to a new salon, please don't look further...Sherrie will make you feel right at home and also make you look like a new woman!

I had recently moved to Houston and visited several different salons trying to find the perfect stylist/colorist. Unfortunately, during my search my hair was severly damaged, I mean completely FRIED!! (before & after photos on site) I did a search on the internet and I found Sherrie! What more can I say, She SAVED ME and my search is over!! It's been about a year now and my hair is in great shape. I strongly recommend Sherrie, she's excellent!!

I have tried over the past few years to find a stylist that I was comfortable with, but failed. With advice from citysearch, I visited Sherrie at her IMPACT salon. I have found my home!

I took in a picture and she explained to me all the facets that went into that particular haircut and really "broke it down" for me. As she cut and styled my hair, she patiently gave me tips to style it at home by myself. (Don't you just love it when you walk away from the salon looking great, but hate it the next day when you're at home trying to style your hair, you get frustrated because you can't reproduce the salon results?) She even explained the use of the cold-shot button on the blow-dryer, and it's volumizing power, something I had completely no idea of, and in all my years not a single stylist had mentioned to me before!

I love how Sherrie was very easy to talk to, really listened to my hair concerns, and followed through with a stunning change for hair. I put 100% confidence in her and her hair expertise, and am looking forward to my next appointment.

YOU WILL BE AMAZED! Sherrie is truly a hair magician!

Sherrie is fabulous! I used to get my hair colored and cut at an expensive high end salon where I always felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. Now I get the same cut and color with Sherrie (at half the price of the expensive salon) and I always feel welcomed and listened to. Go see Sherrie - you won't regret it!

I am only 37 yrs old and have to deal with a lot of gray hair so I needed someone who knows their stuff when it comes to color. I don't just want one flat color. I like the multi-tonal look, if you will. I have tried a few "colorists" in the past two years and was always leaving disappointed with the results and feeling overcharged. I recently met Sherrie and this time I left very pleased with my color. She really knows color and has trained extensively and continues to keep up with the latest techniques. She will soon become my new best friend as I will be seeing her every four weeks for years to come!!!

As a woman with curly hair, I've always been nervous about enrusting my hair to new stylists. When I moved to Houston two years ago, I found Sherrie via the internet and decided to give her a try based on reviews I read and pictures posted on her web site. I was extremely impressed with her extensive knowledge of hair color and care. With respect to curly hair, she is very sensitive to the unique care it requires. Sherrie particularly good at making highlights on curly hair look very natural. I highly recommend Impact Color to those with curly hair and/or anyone seeking great hair color.

As someone who is rather picky, I firmly stand by Sherrie's color expertise. Not only is she knowledgeable about the latest color schemes and processes, but she is also very much into the health of your hair. She is professional, courteous, and pleasant and most importantly, she is consistent. I have been using her for over 8 years now after having gone through numerous colorists. You will not find anyone who can color better in the city of Houston. I highly recommend Impact Color Salon for anyone who is seeking excellence in hair coloring. You owe it to yourself!

I moved to Houston in April of this year and waited as long as I possibly could to find a new salon to go to. After wayyyyyy too many bad cuts and dye jobs, I had settled down with an outstanding stylist in San Antonio. While I considered making the commute every few months, I realized I just didn't have the time or money to do so, and set out on a search for the best place in Houston! I found Sherrie on citysearch and was amazed by all of her positive reviews. I emailed her with my situation and she quickly responded saying she could help. She did an awesome job with my highlights and cut. I am getting married in March and Sherrie put in extra highlights that will show up when my hair is up for the wedding. I recently got my trial up-do done, and even my dad commented on how great the highlights looked!!!! And just the other day I received compliments on the coloring of my hair. I'm going back to see Sherrie next week and I cannot wait. I know my hair is in good hands at IMPACT. And on top of it all, Sherrie is so easy to get along with and clearly loves what she does. I would recommend IMPACT to anyone!

I have been going to Impact for three years now. Before that I would go from salon to salon in hopes of finding someone to do my color and not make me look like a zebra. I have very fine hair and not everyone knows how to color it properly. I have gone home on too many occasions from "other" salons in tears from the terrible highlight job. Sherrie is a refreshing alernative to other colorists out there. For three years I have always walked out just loving my color. I get compliments all the time on my color. Sherrie really knows what she is doing as far as your hair texture and what color is flattering to your complexion. I have gotton to the point I will say...let's go darker...I trust you on the rest. Also her salon experience is GREAT. Very relaxing, very trendy upscale salon. She adds the personal touches, like getting you a soda while you wait for your color to set. There is always relaxing music...many times I fall asleep in the chair. This is my time to catch up on magazines...always lots of trendy magazines to read during your appointment. She is also very flexible on scheduling. I work full-time and sometimes it is hard to get in to see someone on the weekend, but Sherrie is always very accomodating to my schedule. I won't go to anyone else to color my hair...if you want someone you can trust, if you want your hair to come out "right" every time....go meet Sherrie. Yo will be glad you did.

I was searching for a new place to have my hair colored since the place that I have been going to although did okay work the service was like going through a fast good restaurant. Besides, the prices were always changing for the same service and the last time was outrageous. So, I found citysearch and then saw Impact Color and read other reviews about Sherrie. Everyone was so impressed that I thought I would try Impact Color. First, you can make appointments by email which is very convenient and Sherrie was very friendly even over email. I was nervous going to someone new. Her salon is in a building that is like an office building for salons each person with their own office. I liked that right away because there was not a constant traffic (which I had become accustomed to) going by her chair and Sherrie was not being pulled to do three people's hair at one time. She gave me her undivided attention and discussed how to cut my hair and what she envisioned when I came back to get my hair colored. I loved my hair cut but my color is what really impressed me. I loved it. The highlights and lowlights really complimented my face. She knows what she is doing and her recommendations for me personally was right on the money. She also discussed with me how much it would cost right up front so there were no surprises. She did a wonderful job better than I where I had been getting my hair colored and cut and for less than what I had been paying. I would definately be going back and would recommend Sherrie for those who would like a personal feel when getting your hair done.

I first had my hair done by Sherrie in 1999 (8 years ago), and my hair & I have followed her as she made her way down the road to her own studio (IMPACT Color). I love to change my hair, and Sherrie has always given me a phenomenal cut, as she is very astute in analyzing hair to know what it is & is not capable of doing. She is very knowledgable about hair, color & how they are going to react to one another, and isn't afraid to tell you that what you want is not a healthy idea for your locks. Always up on the latest styles & trends, Sherrie tries to keep your hair fresh & new even if you ask for basically the same cut every time. The atmosphere in the salon is like going to a friend's house to hang out & chat, with the best of wide variety of music that she has hand picked for her clients' enjoyment. Sherrie is a very real & down to earth person who is interested in doing what's best for you & your hair. I have & will continue to refer my family & friends to IMPACT Color Salon.

I have been going to Sherrie since I was in Jr. High. I am now 25. When I went to college in another city I tried to find another person to do my hair, and well it didn't work out. I had to fly back to Houston just so she could fix my hair. Ever since that one experience I will never go to another person again. The 4 years I was in college I would fly back to Houston just to get my hair done. I have never met anyone who knows more about color than her. I always get compliments on my hair. I would recommend her to everyone.

For the many years that I have had my hair cared for by Sherrie; I can truly say she is an outstanding stylist who cares not only for her clients hair, but also her clients in general. She is very fexiable and accommodates to anyone's schedule. Sherrie makes your time with her YOUR'S. I always look forward to the end results of my experience with Sherrie because she has always made my hair color look so vibrant and full of life and with a terrific cut to go along with it; no wonder I get so many compliments all the time. Sherrie has been doing my hair since i was a freshman in high school, now i'm 23 years old, and i refuse to let anyone else TOUCH my hair. She always knows what i want, even if i don't even know what that is. I now live in California where it is difficult to fly home to Houston just to get my hair done...so i tried to find a place in San Diego. Needless to say, i had no luck and only ended up with a bigger mess than what i started with. This happens to be Sherrie's specialty, corrective color and hair design (thats just to name a few). Since then, i only get my hair done by Sherrie when i fly to Houston...which is now more frequent. She is a blessing and i would recommend her to anyone that wants great hair thats easy to manage, and who doesn't want that?!

Since i met Sherrie, I no longer have to go buy a hat to cover up what someone's done to my hair! !!
I always thought I'd go thru life unhappy with my face and hair, but now it's the most worry/hassle free part of me. Sherrie has this intuitive ability to cut/color your hair in a way that harmonies with your face, skin coloring, and lifestyle (I don't have the time or talent to do something with my hair) ---and the result of her efforts is that now, there's a part of your life that just "goes right." I have had nothing but positive experiences since becoming a loyal client over three years ago. I have long, naturally curly hair which is very difficult to work with. However, Sherrie pays great attention to detail when doing my foil highlights and is an expert stylist. I have never received a better cut or color elsewhere.

I have nothing but good things to say about Sherrie and Impact Color. I moved to Houston last summer and went around to some other salons. I was spending a ridiculous amount of money and still wasn?t satisfied. I came across Impact Color?s website and was really impressed with how Sherrie not only showed her before and after pictures but how she explained what she did and more importantly why. Sherrie has done a great job with both my cut and color. She really listens to what you want and your concerns. I have been extremely satisfied with Sherrie and would definitely recommend her services. Not only will you have great hair, you will have fun and great conversation for a couple of hours!

I cannot say enough good things about Sherrie! I did the whole big, trendy, super-expensive salon thing, and it was NOT a good experience. They never listened, and always gave me a crazy haircut that I either needed 10 products to make it look good - or it was just awful and not what I asked for. THEN I MET SHERRIE in 2000, and I have been going to her ever since. She listens to what you want, and you will come out of her chair looking great! I love her so much that I even flew to Houston regularly over a three-year period while I was in Oklahoma just to have my hair cut by her. I don't know what I'd do without her!
The minute I met her, she put me at ease and she is hilarious! She is someone that will listen and make suggestions, but ultimately the dicision is yours. But I will say -she'll let you know if a style just won't look good for your face or fit into your lifestyle - and let's be honest, some of us need that! There are a hundred styles I want (l even asked - why can't I have [insert celebrity name] hair!?!), but since I hate to spend more than 10 minutes on my hair, most of them weren't practical for me. Sherrie gave me a fun, functional style - and it's great! She gives me great natural-looking highlights and perfect haircuts. She's always there when I'm ready for a change and when I'm not. And she isn't one of those stylists that can't cut your hair the same way twice. I never have to worry with her - I can sit in her chair and say "just make it look good" and it comes out great every time.
I even got my husband hooked (who has pretty unruly hair and was always unhappy with his cut until he met Sherrie) - so she's not just for women. I would recommend Impact Color to anyone who is wanting a great color without the worry and a great haircut. Sherrie does it all - color, classic cuts, trendy cuts - she's on top of it! You will not be disappointed when you go to Sherrie.

Sherrie is the absolute best when it comes to hair color -- she's always up on the latest trends and techniques and she provides great advice and suggestions. I wouldn't have let anyone else take me from brunette to blonde but Sherrie. Fabulous haircuts too. And all her services are very competitively priced.

I was recommended to Sherrie by one of my best friends. I've been going to her for over 3 years. She is the best in Houston. I was very scared to try someone new on my hair. I didn't want any red in my blond highlights and hair color. She was great. She got it right the very first time. We've developed a good friendship and her customer service is 'beyond the call of duty'. I can't brag enough about her.

I first went to Sherrie earlier this year after a disastrous color job from my previous stylist. He kept giving me an unnatural color, despite many attempts. I finally gave up and went in search of a real colorist and found Sherrie's website. After the first visit I knew this lady knew her color! Her cutting is good also, nothing too drastic. Her studio is very cozy and in a great location on Westheimer. I do recommend her to my friends.

In the past I would get nervous and even feel anxious going to the hair salon just to have my hair trimmed, not to mention a color. It was for good reason, they would not listen to what I was wanting or maybe they did not have the ability to do what I was asking - I was very frustrated. When I moved here in 1999, I was looking for someone who could do more than trim my ends; I was looking for someone who was trained, experienced and stays current with the latest hair trends and could give me the look I wanted and that best suited me. I was so excited to FINALLY find Sherrie - she got it! Her private salon is fantastic; there are not all the distractions or a feeling that you are just a number. Sherrie is fun and personable; I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for your hair needs!

I love impact color, Sherri is a magician with hair color, even i can't tell i color my hair. she adjust the color as the seasons like my hair did when i was younger. she has 1 person operation so you do not haveto deal with the salon gossip that most large salons have. Very private and personal. I have had my hair highlighted once a month for 5 years at impact color and never had a bad experience.

Sherrie has been coloring and cutting my hair for about a year. Aside from the fact that I can be 'uptight' about my hair, Sherrie is so flexible about what I want. She gently makes recommendations and suggestions, but my satisfaction is her main priority. She is also extremely customer service oriented and in tune to making you feel at home. Not to mention that she is a ball to be around. She does an amazing job and I would highly recommend her!

I had previous employment in Texas and visited Sherrie to have my hair done. Even though I have since left that employer, I have flown across the country to Texas to have my hair done by Sherrie! I have never met a more honest person in my life! Sherrie really seems to know her clients and what their true needs are regarding color. She is genius when it comes to the real color of hair! Hello All...my name is Sherrie. IMPACT's owner, colorist, and hair designer.

With literally thousands of hair salons in our great city...choosing a salon to call home is a challenging, and many times, frustrating experience. I thought I'd take this opportunity to tell you a little about IMPACT and how I might make the choice a little easier.

I've been a hair designer for 11 years...opened IMPACT May 2000. During my time working for other salons, I listened to the concerns/frustrations of new clients...
- Salon too noisy!
- He/She didn't listen to me!
- Too busy...taking care of too many clients at once!
- Forgot about me under the dryer...my hair is fried!
- I have no idea what this person's skill level/experience is!

...the list goes on and on. I have fashioned my business to address those concerns, and more. My website contains many 'before and after' photos of actual IMPACT clients. REAL people, REAL photos. Taken by myself without 'enhancement'. What you see is what you get.

I work by myself and have no more than two guests scheduled at one time so you always get my personal attention...I don't cut corners. My clients are interesting, educated ladies and gentlemen...so you'll always make a new friend when you visit. And you won't have to worry about a disinterested front desk, or an inexperienced shampoo girl.

I LISTEN to the goals you have for your hair. A 'trim' really is just a 'trim'! I will always be honest and make suggestions...but ultimately, you're the boss.
