Spanky's Pizza & Italiana has been serving outstanding hand tossed pizza since 1976. We make oven-fresh, mouth-watering pizza exactly the way your order it. Choose from a variety of gourmet topings or try our wheat-crust pizza. Wash it down with a nice mug of beer or margarita. We also serve basic Italian dishes, salads, burgers and chicken fried steak.
Best pizza around. Made fresh the way you want it. Wonderful french onion soup for those cold days. The prices are right and the atmosphere is like family

I love Spanky's it's a more relaxed setting like you're at home with your family. The staff is very down-to-earth and their pepperoni pizza is great!! The quality of this restaurant is excellent!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Spanky's Pizza! I live up north and make the long drive down just to eat here. The restaurant has a great, comfortable atmosphere. Add in a margarita or beer and you've got a winner!
Pros: great pizza! great baked spaghetti, service, parking, inexpensive

The pizza from here is a lot better than Dominos and Pizza Hut put together. I loved this pizza place when I was a kid and I love it now that I'm older. I also love their cheese sticks. This place ROCKS!

My best friend and I used to go to Spanky's all the time. It's been a while since we've been there, so I decided to stop by with some friends. It ain't the same. Food was not as good, service was poor, and I would not go again.

This is one of the best eateries in the city of Houston, I have lived here most of my life (over 40 years) and I lived near here most of that time. I recently visited Spanky's and it was like coming home. I had not visited for more than 20 years, and after seeing the sign with a new promotion, I decided to give it a try, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised by the fact the nothing had really changed, except the faces and they were like old friends. The food was great and the service was even better. Although they are known for their outstanding home made pizza, the buffalo wings are superb. Go on Monday's, during football season, they have a great wing special. The margarita's are pretty good too! Good place to take your kids, the staff makes even the smallest patrons feel special. Good place to let your "hair down" and be yourself.
Pros: Customer service, food, ambience, kid friendly
Cons: Not alot of space

A great place to eat for anyone. A good place to bring your family, anytime. Good wait staff who are attentive, but not so much that they become irratating, and they always have great smiles, and are friendly too. They have some of the best Pizza anywhere, and some of the best past anywhere. The place is a little noisy, but people are having fun being together. There are T.V.s everywhere with sports programs but the volume is not to loud if your interest is not with sports. Just a great place to eat.

I was born and raised in South East Houston and Spanky's has always been a favorite. I have now moved to Spring, TX and still drive all the way to Spanky's for pizza, a margarita, and get some lasanga to go. I have been going here since 1984 and now I have my son hooked and he's only 4. Through out the years nothing has changed this will always be my favorite.

Pizza and was very good, but the service was not. We had to chase down the waitress for everything. Place was not at all packed so that is not an excuse. Price was good but we will not go back.
Pros: Food, thin crust pizza, pasta
Cons: poor staff

I LOVE this place. Their pizza's are the greatest. The toppings are fresh, the beer is always ice cold, and the Astros are always on!! Their location is great, just 5 minutes from Reliant, a couple of minutes from downtown. Worth the trip. I will admit, sometimes the waitstaff is a little to be desired, but hey, that's ok.....
Pros: Easy to get to, normally not a wait because it's a good size.
Cons: Doesn't have a full bar

We have been eating specialty pizza for some time now, and Spanky's is the best bang for the buck. Great tasting pizza!!! Top 3 in the Houston area in our opinion.
Pros: Prize, Not Crowded
Cons: Beer Variety

I had been dying for some GOOD pizza and if someone mentioned Pizza Hut or Domino's I was gonna punch them. My friend recommended Spanky's and I said I'd give it a whirl. We ordered a large pizza and sat down and mowed the entire damn pizza down!!! It was TOTALLY worth it. The next time we ordered we got breadsticks and they offered homemade alfredo dipping sauce. It was so, so right. If you are ever near Gulfgate and have a hankering for pizza, please go to Spanky's. It's damn good.

My girls and I get together and enjoy the best margaritas and pizza at Spanky's. This is my favorite restaurant and it's so close to my mother's house. The USAF loves Spanky's!
Pros: Strong Margaritas
Cons: Absolutely None

Though Spanky's has something of the annoying Chili's/ Bennigan's decor, it's relaxing and cool with great pizza (probably the best in town since the demise of Uno's on Kirby). It's been there for years before the Gulfgate reinvention, the prices are good (especially for lunch) and very few people outside of SE Houston know of it.
Pros: decent prices, good food/ salads, easy parking
Cons: not nextdoor to home

I called the restaurant to place a "too go" order. They put me on hold for more than 4 minutes. When they finally came back to the phone, they were very short. I had a question about an entree, she put me on hold again. Another person got back on the line, and explained the way the entree came prepared, so fast, that I couldn't undersatnd a word. I proceeded to order, and she responded with, alright is that all? What name? 15 minutes...I was like what just happened?? I understand that they might have been busy, but the attitude was not necessary.
Pros: Good Prices
Cons: Rude Staff

Spanky's might not look like it has the best pizza in town, but it DEFINITELY DOES. The pizza is made EXACTLY as you order it...the right amounts of cheese and whatever toppings you ask for. Definitely better than Star, Fuzzy's, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, etc. The place has a cozy, homely atmosphere---a great place to just hang out and enjoy pizza made exactly how you want it. DELICIOUS italian plates too.
Pros: never crowded, delicious food, friendly/quick servic
Cons: a little hidden, few ads for it
