My senior prom was held at this place, and I thought it would be awesome to get a room there for the whole convenience factor. Honestly, it was a good price for a great room. My room was right above where everybody was hanging out, so it was fun to just be able to watch that. Either side of the Hotels are great views. There's the tower on one side, and the river on the other. I loved the room, I loved the balcony, I just loved everything about it. It made my prom night even more perfect.

This hotel was very accomadating for large groups of people. Our team stayed here for the NCAA tournament and the hotle did a great job making sure that the hotel was secure for the hotel guests only. Great location on the River Walk.

This hotel is really underrated based on reviews I read before coming here. They hotel itself is fabulous. The rooms are nicely appointed and they have a great balcony. You can enjoy views of the city from either side of the hotel. I would have given them 5 stars but they screwed up twice - 1 hour 15 minutes to retrieve our car and threw out our food from the fridge. They did compensate us for both errors but we were miffed anyway and thus 4 stars. The pool was much nicer than I expected based on their photos - nothing special but nicer than expected.

I had the pleasure of teaching a class on the 22nd floor (illustrious views) of the Hilton Palacio del Rio. The hotel staff really catered to my needs and always with a smile and gracious approach. A steward even brought me a blanket to wrap around my shoulders when I showed discomfort.

All employees of the Hilton were top notch: the valet, check-in, bell girl, maid service, stewards and kitchen staff.

A special thank you to Chef James Bocanegra for making all my meals a delight.

Covered in gilded this, that and the other, this is a dreadful place, and seems to offer little better value than other, much better hotels nearby. Really feels like a roadside motel.

Super Location - just on the edge of the crazy crowds on the Riverwalk. Was noisy on Fri & Sat until 10 pm from the Arneson Theater (but not unpleasant). We ate at Ibiza for dinner - good food. There are many places to eat (all meals) within a few blocks. Be sure to put out the do-not-disturb sign because housekeeping comes around early. Housekeeping was fast but not always thorough. Overall very nice. Use self parking - only 1 block away and reasonably priced. No free internet. Business Center to expensive.

Pros: Location, Value

Cons: No free internet, No free internet

Certainly not the nicest place I've ever stayed but the location is excellent with Convention center across the street and the Riverwalk at the backdoor. The Riverwalk cruise boats are a short walk across the river. The Alamo is a short walk.

The room size in a king standard room was very adequate. An empty mini-fridge comes in handy as it can easily be stocked from a nearby Eckard's much cheaper than a mini bar. Request a room with a riverview balcony. Ours overlooked the Convention Center but gave us a nice view of the Tower of Americas.
