Reviews for Smith Erin Dvm - Am/pm Animal Hospital

Ratings_icons Very Expensive

Jen G.

My cat accidentally got flea and tick medicine in her system and had a full seizure and lost control of his nervous system. I rushed him to AM/PM Animal Hospital and they told me it would be over 1000.00 to treat him, which I couldn't afford. They offered to put him down, but I couldn't do that - Sugar is a fighter. They agreed to give him a little medicine to see if it could get him through to the morning to see my vet. It cost over 200.00 and I didn't see any change in him. I did get him to my vet in the AM and they performed a miracle on him. He's full of spirit and love today! Nice staff, just wouldn't recommend if you are on a budget - they do not work with you.

Ratings_icons Super nice but Expensive!

george s.

felt that the staff was very polite and super helpful. I do think they were very expensive. I think they knew I was freaking out and took full advantage of that fact. I think they used vet jargon to confuse me and have me agree to order cultures and tests that were unnecessary. I also felt as if the price for the meds I received was astronomical. It cost me $227.86 for antibiotics and pain meds for a two week period. I don't know about any of you, but I've never paid that much for my pet meds EVER. I asked a few friends, one of which has 7 dogs and a cat. They all agreed that it was very over-priced. As I said, they were very nice and one of the only vets that acceptd walk-ins, but I paid for it dearly. If you have the income to spend, They're fantastic!

We love this veterinarian/ animal hospital. They are open for full service...and emergency services twenty four hours a day/ seven days a week. It is great because we can scedule routine care around our schedule. They are very high tech and can do almost any kind of care or surgery for your loved pet. They really seem to care about the animals and are very friendly to people to. I beleive that they don't accept all types of animals...maybe just cats and dogs.

Ratings_icons I trust them with my doggies!

Stephanie M.

I chose AM/PM when we came to Austin because I like having an office that I can go to day or night. I can make a routine appointment for 9 pm if I need to, and there is always a friendly and competent veterinarian there. I have also used them during emergencies, and every time I have felt very taken care of. Dr. Parker, one of the veterinarians, is especially personable, and really takes time to listen to problems. Everyone there goes the extra mile to make patients and their owners comfortable.

PROS: Open 24/7, great veterinarians.
CONS: Weird glitch with expiration dates on medicine labels! No biggie!
