How much would you expect to pay for a 10 minute fix and a $20 part? I figure with the service call, maybe $100-150. But no, the Christian Brothers tech that "helped" me decided to help himself...by charging a whopping $330. You be the judge: 10 minute visit, and a 55/5/440 AC capacitor. Just google it for some prices...
Avoid Christian Brothers like the plague unless you like throwing money away. I'm hotter now than before the AC tech "fixed" me!
I chose Christian Brothers AC after another technician tried three times and failed to fix out problem. They said they would be out an noon the following day (18 hours). I am pregnant and I work from home, so I was baking and waiting eagerly. At 11:30 I called to confirm, and they told me it'd be 3:00-5:00 before they arrived. I asked if they were sure they would be able to fix it today or whether I should try to get someone else out, and they assured me that they would stay as long as possible to fix it - into the night if needed. I called back at 4:30 when I hadn't heard from anyone, and they said I was next on the list. Again, I asked if there'd be any downside of our appointment being so late and they said he'd stay until the problem was fixed. When the technician arrived at 5:30, he looked at the AC for an hour and said we needed a part... but that it was too late to buy it, since it was after hours. He couldn't even give us a price for the part. So, another night at 90 degrees. I am extremely, extremely disappointed that we are in this situation.
My AC stopped cooling and I called Christian Brothers based on positive recommendation from my co-workers. They were able to come the next day--even though they had to work late after 5 to work me in. They not only fixed the problem but identified previous errors done when unit was installed and made some temporary adjustments which made the unit run better than it ever has. I have a high-end carrier with some computerized controls that a couple of previous repairmen from other companies did not fully understand. The Christain Brothers repair person clearly understood it 100%, used the built-in diagnostics like a pro, and again identified one of the original install problems that has haunted me for several years. I will use them again for sure and after dealing with 4 other companies over the last 12 years, my experience with Christian Brothers so far has been by far the best.
Ricky came by to replace an air vent after we bought a unit from Christian Brothers. As he was putting in the vent, he noticed a missing cap on the drain line. Instead of putting in a service order, he went and bought the cap with his own money. Thats the kind of service that brings repeat business. Keep up the good work C Bros.
I have been very impressed with the service techs of Christian Brothers AC since I moved here four years ago and turned over my servicing to them.
I recently had the benefit of one of their best, Glen, to troubleshoot my ten-year old unit. He diagnosed the problem, and made the appropriate repair. He didn't try to sell me a new unit like so many other companies have done in the past. This repair bought me time to assess whether I should upgrade to a multi-fuel unit or not.
Very positive experience. I recommend this company, largely as a result of keeping techs like Glen on staff.
I called the Christian Brothers in early November to come inspect the weak dilapidated heating unit in my rental house. Joe and Ricky showed up on time and were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was told my unit was in poor shape and the return area was way too small. Joe said given the work needed and their committment to quality, that my landlord would most likely go with a lower priced/quality alternative. I appreciated his candor and was assured he would email over an estimate and diagnosis for me to share with the owners...
After a month of receiving nothing, I called Christian Brothers and spoke to Ricky. After reminding him who I was, he apologized and asked me to resend him my email info. He confirmed my email and told me the report was coming...Ten days later and still no response.
I'm sure they are busy and I was not likely to be a client this time around, but I expect people to live up to their word. I gave them two chances to do so to no avail...
I got charged $330 for a $20 part (a 55/5/440 AC capacitor on the outside unit...google it for prices) and a 10 minute fix. The tech didn't even bother to do a full inspection of my AC unit, verify if the compressor was or was not running before the ""fix"", or even check the air in the house before the ""fix"".
I guess he thought the middle of summer was a great time to rip someone off.
This is the third time I have used Christian Brothers AC and they still impress me. The calls are always handled professionally and they do what they say they will do. The technician know their stuff. They offer their services without being ""pushy"". Robert was the best!\r
I will not only continue to use Christian Brothers, but will refer all my family and friends to them as well.
We were thoroughly pleased and impressed with the service that Christian Brothers and specifically Marty provided. He is extremely knowledgeable about ACs, including warranty service, provided expert service, discussed concerns we had with another unit and then actually made sure that we received the follow-up calls and information that he promised. And he even cleaned our compressor. Marty knows his stuff and earned my husband's approval with his skill set and service demeanor.
We have had service by other companies over the years, but none followed up or even responded to our subsequent calls about additional needs. Christian Brothers is extremely reputable and will be our continued choice for AC and Heat Pump service.
I am very much delayed in writing this but because I had another incident it reminded me to take the time to do so. A year ago I have a new AC System installed. It was done timely in one day and the workers were professional and cleaned up their mess.\r
\r
Last night my AC went out. I called this morning and Glen came out this morning and we had AC. He then preceeded to go to the outside and do all the checkups and even turned on the water and washed my AC unit outside. Before Glen left he even waited to make sure my AC was bringing the temperture down. Glen was very professional and friendly. \r
\r
My daughter has Asthma so it was very important that it got fixed today and Christian Brothers did not let me down. \r
\r
Thanks to Glen and the company in providing great Customer Service. Also, I have talked to Marissa before and she is great I wish she worked for me. She is always very helpful and friendly.
Glenn is one outstanding Tech for this company. He is prompt, honest and spends how ever long it takes to fix the problem. In fact after he left something needed to be tweeked and he came back on his way home. They should give him a raise. The company itself is a tad bit expensive to be honest. Probably the same with most of the a/c companies. Their freon and products they sell are marked up pretty high. Paid $80 to wash my coils with a hose. Guess thats the hourly rate. Why companies charge $34.00 per pound of freon is hard to understand since I know what a 30lb bottle costs and its not $1,020.00. But anyway prices aside Christian Brothers hire knowledgable techs and honest techs who do excellent work.
Glen with Christian Brothers just left after checking out my AC that was dripping. He was very thorough in explaining what the problems were and what my options were to solve the problem now and what it would take to prevent it from happening again. He even went back up in my attic and poured Clorox in my pan when it became clear that I probably wasn't actually do it myself (hello.....it was 102 outside today and about 140 in the attic!!). He blew out my Condensation lines, checked my freon levels, put Clorox in the pan and explained what I could do to get a couple more years out of my system - all for $144. I though the price was very reasonable and the service excellent. I will definitely call Christian Brothers when I am ready to rep,ace the system!!
Their technician was good. When Richard, the technician, came to my house, he spent 20 minutes to inspect the A/C unit and found out that I needed a new IC board, and then he gave me a quote for the price of the board between $100 and $200. Then Marissa, the office manager, called me with a total price quote of $575, and since I did not know their hourly rate or how many hours they would need to fix the system, I agreed to let them fix the A/C. When Robert came, he spent less than 30 minutes fixing the A/C. I asked him for their hourly rate, and he told me that it is $83/hour. Even if I used the $200 as the board's price and added in an hour of labor, the price should have been just $283. They charged me $485 for the A/C repair because I signed up for the service contract. They overcharged me by $202. I called Marissa to complain about the overcharge, she asked Zic to talk to me but they refused to admit the overcharge.
They also quoted me $6,389 for a new Bryant 3 tons A/C, because I already paid them so much for the repair, the salesman said he can give me $1,485 discount, and the final price is $4,904. Since they overcharged me on the service, I can not trust them any more. I checked with other dealer, the other dealer's price without discount is better than the final price they gave me.
I used to work for Christian Brothers. I moved on to commercial air conditioning work last fall, a lateral career move so to speak.
I still recommend Christian Brothers to anyone who needs AC service or replacement. Why? Not because they're perfect, no they're only human. Because of the way they act when something goes wrong. They take care of the customer.
My a/c went out on Friday night, and after calling other places who couldn't get me on the schedule until Tuesday, I called CB and they sent Robert over that morning. He knew what was wrong immediately, fixed it, was courteous, and done in 30 minutes. I was glad to have the a/c working because it was over 100 today. Great job!
Thanks very much to Marissa and Fran for their hard work in repairing a blown compressor during this humid weekend in Austin. They were outstanding and extremely prompt in coordinating technicians, locating the correct part and arranging ASAP delivery, along with working out warranty issues. People tend to get understandably harried in Texas summers, and they were both prompt and gracious. Moreover, they were honest about delivery expectations and pushed hard to accommodate concerns. Thank you!
Not sure how to give zero stars. I dont understand how their rating is good, unless its their employees writing those reviews. Strongly dont advise using!!!
Worst Service ever!
I don't write reviews often but these folks deserve a great one. My daughter recently bought an older condo in Austin that needed new furnace/AC and water heater. My daughter knows nothing about homes and I live in Florida so I knew it would be a problem finding a good contractor.\r
\r
I tried 3 contractors based on good web reviews. Christian Bros. responded promptly and Adam was the only one that performed a load calculation to size the furnace/AC. The others wanted to replace the existing unit with like-size (it needed to be a half-ton smaller). Christian Bros. knew all the rebates available (the other 2 missed an available $1075 rebate from the State) and Marissa did all the paperwork to submit them. In the end, we got a ""cadillac"" system from Bryant with 2 stage heating and cooling and variable speed fan for the price of the ""ford"" the others wanted to install.\r
\r
I happened to be in Austin for the move and the installation was code-book perfect and neat as a pin. The installers arrived on time, were meticulous and cleaned up and removed all the old units and packaging. I know quite a bit about home systems and these guys were outstanding.\r
\r
Their plumber that did the water heater was just as good. The existing water heater was installed wrong and dangerous - Christian Bros (Southwest Plumbing) found a solution to some existing installation limitations that made everything safe and brought it up to code. Once again they were on time and did a perfect install.\r
\r
It is so nice to be able to deal from afar with people who are honest and helpful. They are friendly and caring and provide excellent customer service. I wish they had an office in Florida.
I'm not sure how this company maintains high user ratings, but my experience with them has been ridiculous.
The heater in my condo stopped generating heat and would not power on. Christian Brothers spent the minimal amount of time diagnosing the problem and then sold me an overpriced thermostat which was only part of the problem.
The next day I can to have a technician come back out to determine why my heater still was not heating. The tech quickly diagnosed the problem as having a failing ignition switch and thus being unable to properly control the heating strips inside the unit.
We replace the switch only to find out 2 days later that the part was faulty and that I would have to wait a maximum of 1 business day for a new part to arrive.
I called the customer service reps everyday for the next few days only to be told that the part still was not in. We are now hoping that the part comes in by the fifth business day. Mind you this is the coldest time of winter and there is absolutely no sense of urgency or communication on the part of Christian Brothers.
This company represents a complete lack of professionalism and I will celebrate the day when they go out-of-business because of shoddy work and poor service like I have endured.
After much research and consternation on who to use to replace a major component of our house, we determined that Christian Brothers was our best option. We researched most of the well known HVAC contractors in Austin and met with our three top picks. Upon meeting with Adam Turnipseed with Christian Brothers we were immediately sold! Adam was not only very friendly and knowledgeable but he listened to our concerns with the existing unit. Rather than rush to possible solutions (something the other contractors did), Adam set up a follow-up appointment with us so that he could study the floor plan of our house along with the notes and schematic that he made of our duct work. He said he wanted to take some time to determine the most cost effective way to address our issues and to be able to offer several possible options including prices for each. He truly cared about our comfort and budget. WIthin two days Adam returned with the various options and we chose his first option which included reworking all the duct work to improve airflow, along with installing a new Bryant Evolution system. Two days later Brandon and Edgar. the best installation Tech's Christian Brothers has showed and began the work. They were meticulous, professional and friendly. The work they did was unbelievable - what a fantastic job. They system is performing better than I expected and is so quiet my wife nor I can even tell its running. If it weren't for the temperature change and the blinking little lights on the thermostat you wouldn't even know the system was running. I love the multi-day programmable thermostat. With all the work that was done we have a faster cooling/heating house that stays that way a lot longer than with the old system. During the City of Austin inspection there was one minor issue with the condensation line drain not being insulated farther away from the unit, but Vic was quick to resolve the issue so as to not hold up our rebates.\r
\r
All in all, my wife and I have been thrilled with our new system and would not hesitate to recommend Christian Brothers. In fact, a neighbor just yesterday used them to have a new system installed!
This company does have decent service. I called them and they were out pretty quick and were professional in their demeanor.
BUT, I have a small child and I requested them use a product to clean my ac that wasn't so TOXIC and they were not accommodating AT ALL.
So, if you have small children you may want to do a little extra shopping because the products this company uses can do damage to a very small child.
Just a little heads up. No that they're a bad company but toxic chemicals are just that - toxic - and they refused to use anything else.
Turned on the heat for the first time this Saturday morning, and nothing. Called this company who had someone out within 2-3hrs, but it all went downhill from there.\r
\r
First words out of his mouth were that this was supposed to be his day off and shouldn't be working. Ok. \r
\r
Then looked at the unit, declared the main board bad, and nothing he could do today. Probably cost $400-800 and take a few days to get the part. Oh, and by the way since this unit is about 10yrs old, we should go ahead and replace both the blower and condenser/compressor because this was just the beginning of our problems. Really.\r
\r
Called a competitor who came promptly the next day, and I watched him immediately figure out that the initial little fan that comes on in the sequence of events before the gas burner is started wasn't turning. He moved the fan blade a little with his finger and it all started and worked fine. No bad main board, no need to replace the unit, all is well for the cost of a service visit. And, this guy was absolutely no pressure and really nice and apparently honest.\r
\r
This is just one single interaction with Christian Brothers which is not much data, but I will not be calling them again.
These guys are just like most of the rest. Numbnuts.
Do yourself a favor. Honestly. Find someone else.
First let me say the customer service was excellent. The technician was very good, fast and friendly.\r
\r
However, I really complained about the price quoted to me (first price quote was $309). While the technician was still at my home I looked up the price of the faulty dual capacitor and showed him the price quoted online was only $28. He came down to a total install price of $240 but that still seems very very high. The technician was only at my house diagnosing and installing for maybe 30 minutes. I think a reasonable price would have been $150. \r
\r
Christian Brother's claims fair pricing. Does this seem fair?
I just had a brand new Bryant Heat Pump A/C system (16 Seer) installed in my complicated home by Christian Brothers. This process also involved completely redoing a lot of duct work in the attic, redesigning the duct work for improved air flow, zoning the first floor into separately controlled areas, and replacing and repairing the numerous problems and errors that a previous company created. The quality of the installation is the most critical aspect for HVAC systems to perform well over time.
I interviewed 5 Austin companies before choosing Christian Brothers. By far, Christian Brothers stood out above the rest for several reasons:
(1) Professionalism. The Sales Rep, Adam, patiently and respectfully spent many hours diagnosing my problems, listening to my complaints with the old system, answering 4 pages of questions and made sure I was comfortable with the proposal. He listened well and responded appropriately to my needs and concerns. He designed a plan to remedy problems I've lived with for over 5 years, that the original HVAC installer could not solve (in a new house). He completely fulfilled his promises and solved all of my numerous HVAC problems! This almost sounds too good to be true, but it genuinely happened. (I only wish I called a few years earlier).
(2) Reliability. This was a 3 day install job. The crew, Brandon and Edgar were highly respectful of my property, clean, neat, and conducted themselves with true professionalism. Most importantly, they are trained and experienced installers who know what they are doing. They cleaned up daily and left no mess whatsoever.
(3) Responsible and Honest. They did not try to sell me anything I did not need. They made recommendations to improve the energy efficiency in my house. They treated me respectfully and answered all questions and concerns. They presented a few different options and explained pros and cons.
(4) Great Results. All of the above means nothing if the end result does not improve the situation. In my case, my house cools more efficiently and comfortably. I love the separate zoning, to cool only the areas I want to cool. I know my ducts are not leaking, wasting air into the attic. Everything is tightly sealed and set up optimally. It's too early to know what my Austin Energy Bill will be until the winter rolls around and I try the heat side of the system. But, I expect to both reduce my heating and cooling bills, as well as experience more comfort in the house.
If I could give them 10 stars, I'd do so in a minute! By the way, I'm highly compulsive, perfectionistic and not easy to please. So, this positive review really means something. I highly recommend them. You get what you pay for, in this particular case!
I had Christian Brothers come out to replace an AC unit. The installers were not friendly, careful or professional. They took two days to install what was promised in half a day, they cut up other ducts getting to unit and left a mess. I found out later that they did not repair the ducts they cut and were leaking air into attic. I called for someone to fix and ""Church Services"" called me back. So I am not sure who is coming to fix and if they will do a good job. So far I certainly would not recommend and do hope all the promises the sales guy made are kept.
We were dealing with a system that was ridiculously noisy and inefficient. I called out Christian Brothers, who sent out Adam. He was extremely professional and polite. We decided to replace the system. Brandon, the technician that they sent out, was a machine. He and his helper knocked the job out quickly, leaving us with a whisper quiet system. I would (and will) recommend them to anyone with HVAC needs
Let me first start by saying I am a TOUGH customer. I worked in the building industry for 13 years, and have engineer friends that design mechanical (a/c, heating) systems for large commercial buildings (i.e. I know just enough about a/c's to be a bit of a pain).
Christian Brother's installed a new compressor and furnace, as well as new ducts (the whole sha-bang). I am very pleased with the unit that I got, and my electrical bills have dropped this summer despite the fact that I am working at home more. I did have one complaint about the installation of the equipment and I did ask that they rework a few of the ducts; however, Christian Brother's was very agreeable and redid everything to my satisfaction (I do have to stress again that I am not your ordinary homeowner and I am demanding.)
What struck me the most about Christian Brother's (and why I gave them 5 stars), is that they were very easy to work with and they truly wanted me to be happy and satisfied with everything. I have even called them to ask questions about my system and they there to chat with me. I would use them again and recommend them to my friends. They will be doing our regular maintenance. I feel I got a great system at a fair price, and it was installed well by some folks who truly care about their work.
My wife and I feared the worst when our upstairs A/C unit stopped working. Our A/C system is approximately 10 years old. We were concerned that it was at the end of its useful life and we were going to have to spend a lot of money on a new system. When Robert arrived and completed the diagnostics we were relieved to learn it was only a capacitor and the cost was less than $300. Robert also cleaned our filter and fixed some faulty original wiring on the unit for free. He was also kind enough to recommended replacing the ventilation grills throughout our house for a nominal cost to promote better circulation. The overall service and experience was outstanding. I would highly recommend them!
I have used these guys repeatedly, they are knowledgable, prompt, very service oriented. Best ac service in town
Christian Bros saved the day on a SUNDAY! \r
I manage a commercial property and I got a call from one of my tenants on SAT 8pm that the AC was not working. He told me he had a class the next afternoon in the leased space. I quickly got on the computer to see who would work on SUNDAYS. Christian Bros. returned my call within 5 mins and scheduled for a Tech to be there Sunday at 9 am. The job was done and all was happy. The only thing I didn't like was the $144. service call plus parts. I would use them again though.\r
Might have to raise the rent . :)
Yesterday we called another AC company that came out and looked at our unit, but couldn't do anything that day and left us without AC and told us they couldn't do anything until Monday at the earliest. We called Christian Brothers this morning (Saturday) and they came out within two hours of us calling them. They found a work-around that is allowing our house to be cooled off while parts arrive so they can do the real repair. Next time something breaks I'll definitely be calling Christian Brothers first!
P.S. The technician's name was Robert M.
Pros: My House Is Cool
Cons: None at this time
Our home central air conditioner stopped working one day. We called our home warranty company to let them know that it was broken. They put in a request for it to be fixed but unfortunately they get to choose which company gets to come to your home to do the service. The warranty company chose Jones Ac Service. Jones Ac service came out and looked at our broken ac unit. They told us we would have to wait 3 days in order for them to order a needed part. After the 3 days went by, we heard nothing from them. So we called and kept getting no answer. So we left many messages and still no return phone calls. So by the 6th day with no ac in our home, we got a hold of the warranty company to see if the ac service had ordered the needed part. The warranty company said that the tech that came out to our house from Jones ac service gave them the wrong part number and that the tech needed to return back out to our house a second time to get the correct part number. So another 3 days go by with no air conditioning. With the temperature in July of 2010 being 111 degrees including the humidity factor, we felt like we were dying. We could not sleep, eat move or function! My family has diabetes and our sugar levels go up sky high when stressed or heat exhausted! We got tired of waiting and not hearing back from either the Jones AC service or the warranty company. So we decided to take matters into our own hands. We decided to call Christian Brothers Air Conditioning company which came highly recommended to us by a lot of people! We did not have to wait long before they sent a tech out by the name of Robert Morales. Robert Morales knew exactly what the problem was and he gave us expert advice on what needed to be repaired or whether or not we needed an entire new air conditioning unit. He was very nice and polite. He is also an expert when it comes to working with Trane Air conditioning units. Robert Morales and Christian Brothers Air Conditioning told us that the soonest that our unit could be replaced was on the next Wednesday which would be 6 days later. However, they told us that they would come out as soon as possible to install a temporary air conditioning unit that would keep our entire house cool until Wednesday. So they installed the temporary air conditioning unit as soon as possible. Our entire house was now cool and we were no longer dying. As soon as the following Wednesday came, 2 techs came out to install our new air conditioning unit. The techs that came out to install the unit are Mike and Julio. They also knew exactly what to do to remove our old unit and install a new unit. They took their jobs very seriously and were very polite and knowledgeable. They also used a checklist when they were completely finished to go down the checklist to make sure they completed every task. That is expert work! Also, if Christian Brothers comes out for a service call and you decide to use them to fix or replace your ac unit, then they will credit back the service call fee. I just want to HIGHLY recommend Christian Brothers Air Conditioning Service to anyone out there that needs air conditioning repair or replacement. I will not think twice about who I will use in the future! Thank you Christian Brothers Air Conditioning and Thank you Robert Morales, Mike and Julio!
Pros: They know what they are doing!
I called in the morning and the technician came out the same day. Adam quickly diagnosed the problem, showed us what caused it, and made the repair. This was my first experience with Christian Brothers, but I will definitely call them again if I need service. I recommend them highly.
Pros: Fast response, professional service
I had a weird problem where my A/C was leaking water through my ceiling. I had to put a bucket in the attic to collect the water!
Alan with Christian Brothers was able to determine that I was missing a needed part that a shady--is the best word to describe them--A/C company threw out when replacing my evaporator coil (through a home warranty company).
Alan put in the part and days later my bucket in the attic is bone dry. Vic was also awesome by getting the part for me within a week and for no charge!
I always got a call back, they always showed up same day.
Good, friendly, customer service and the little things like sending out a survey just to make sure you were taken care of are the things that impress me with this company.
Pros: friendly, knowledgeable techs, great customer service.
I WAS SO GLAD TO SEE ADAM DOBIE COME TO MY DOOR!\r
WHAT A GREAT TECH.!\r
FIRE ANTS KILLED MY CONTACTS. HE FIXED IT RIGHT AWAY.\r
THEN HE FOUND A HUGE RED WASP NEST, INSIDE MY UNIT. HE FIXED THEM, TOO!\r
WOULD NOT USE ANYONE ELSE.
Pros: GLADLY CHECKED ALL OF MY CONCERNS. FRIENDLY.
I cannot say enough about the folks at Christian Brothers AC. Rolando was my on-site tech and Marissa (the office manager) worked with me for several days, sometimes at 7 in the morning and other times at 6:30 pm. She was always available.\r
\r
Long story short, AC stopped blowing cool air. Called a local AC repair company and got a quote for a new evaporator coil (it was leaking freon). I called Christian Brothers for a second evaluation and quote. Christian Brothers quote was 400 dollars less the my original quote. Rolando was the tech who came out. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He let me watch everything he did and even gave me a lesson on basic preventative maintenance things I could do to minimize his future visits! \r
\r
The evaporator coil would not be in for at least 10 days. Christion Brothers filled up my A.C. with freon and got my rolling again until the Coil arrived. They even provided me a back up plan if I didnt want to wait the 10 days for the new coil. The coil actually arrived a week early. Within a day of its arrival, Christian Brothers had the new coil in and I was ""chillin"". \r
\r
I usuall dont write reviews, but these folks saved me money, time, and their attention to detail and service is unmatched.\r
\r
Will in Circle C\r
Pros: Quick, Friendly, and very reasonable rates
Cons: I Should have called Christian Brothers first first!!!!!
Robert Morales arrived less than 2 hours after I first called and less than halfway through the 4-hour time window they gave me on the phone. He was friendly and patient with my toddler, who wanted to watch him work. He was quick, thorough, and informative, and gave me tips to prevent the problem from recurring.
Pros: fast, friendly, and affordable
I read the reviews, was impressed, called, scheduled an appointmeny and requested Robert Morales based on the reviews. He came and was not only knowledgeable and friendly but gave me helpful tips to save me money in the future. I feel I was treated like he would treat a family member. He was extremely hard working, fast and explained everything. I've never written a review before but he deserves all the praise and is worth the effort of taking the time to write. Thanks!
Pros: prompt, friendly, honest, personable
Today I came into work and my A/C unit went on the blink. I was able to get a same day service call with Christian Brothers. The technician, Robert Morales, was knowledgable, competent, a fast, hard worker, and quickly assessed the problem with my unit. He explained the reasons for malfunction of the A/C, showed me the parts that needed replacing, and thoroughly explained pricing before intitiating the repair. I strongly recommend this organization for all A/C installation and repair. \r
\r
By the way, Christian Brothers also replaced my twenty year old A/C unit at my residence in March 2010. They explained all my options, gave several choices to select from, explained all the pros and cons, bells and whistles and professionally installed my new unit which has been running like a charm. \r
\r
No body is perfect, but Christian Brothers is pretty close.
Pros: Respectful, Courteous, Efficient, Knowledgable, Honest
I went and checked reviews for Christian Brothers and they were excellent, so I decided to give them a call to have them do an estimate on replacing my AC unit. I was told someone would call me right back. That was on a Thursday afternoon. I waited until early afternoon on Friday to call again, since I had not heard from them. I was told by the person I was speaking to that Marissa, I believe was her name, was away from her desk and that she would email her to call me right away. I never received a phone call. I then decided to email them from their website and asked about an appointment and told them no one ever called me back, but I was willing to give them a try due to their great reviews...still nothing. I can't tell you if their service was any good, but their customer service truly is not. I really wanted to give them my business, but I guess they did not want mine.
Pros: Non
Cons: Never called me back after calling twice and emailing.
Robert came to my house for an A/C checkup on time and was friendly, professional, and courteous. He completed a thorough inspection of my system while explaining the details. He also demonstrated simple steps that I should do to maintain my system.\r

Overall I think this company values its customers. I will definately use them again when needed.
Pros: On time, educational, courteous
I had a complete A/C replacement installed by Christian Brothers and am very satisfied with the results. Adam from sales was friendly, explained my options in detail and answered all of my questions in layman's terms. The installation crew arrived on time and completed the job ahead of schedule, despite occasional rain showers that day. The crew took care to keep the house clean, offered maintenance tips and made sure I was satisfied with the installation. I would definitely recommend Christian Brothers to anyone thinking about upgrading their air conditioning.
Pros: Prompt, professional, thorough
Our A/C quit working the night before. My wife called the next morning and Robert Morales was at our house a noon that same day. Robert was couteous, fast, and thorough in identifying the problem and explaining the relatively inexpensive solution to both me and my wife. He fixed it! We really appreciate individuals and companies like this. Christian Brothers was recommended by the company who originally installed the system and who said it would be a few days for them to come out.\r

Mr. Morales is a wonderful individual.\r

I highly recommend Christian Brothers to anyone with HVAC problems.
Pros: Prompt, Cost Effective, Honest, Courteous
I called for an appointment and was able to get someone out the next day even though we are at the beginning of the busy season. Adam quickly identified the problem, had the part, and fixed my A/C. He was also able to help complete the warranty paperwork. Great Service!!!!
Pros: Worked quickly, fixed it
I recently had a complete A/C installation to replace a 14-year-old system that had met its end. I'm systematic in gathering information when considerable costs/purchases are involved. I insist on reasonable prices and quality customer service. After much research and investigation, I elected to interview Christian Brothers A/C.
What a delight! Within 15 minutes of my meeting with Adam, I was certain Christian Brothers would get my business. What I appreciated most was Adam carefully explaining things in layman's terms. Furthermore, the quotes were better than those of another well-know service company that most are familiar with.
The two gentlemen who performed the system installation were knowledgeable, respectful, hard-working and very friendly. They also did a magnificent job cleaning up after the work was finished.
I could not be more pleased. I recommend Christian Brothers with good conscience.
Pros: Honest, knowledgeable, informative, friendly.
Cons: N/A
This company was recommended by our previouse HVAC guy. Service was great. We got a price and they stuck to it. The serviceman said there was some incidental charges that may have applied but since he quoted a price he stuck to it. He did the work and made sure the unit worked. I really liked the way he analyzed the problem beforehand, gave recommendations but didn't do the hard sale to get more work than needed to our unit. I highly recommend them. Like I stated, I would have liked a more narrow window for the timing of the service call but really A+ service.
Pros: good service, gave a price and stuck to it, no hard sell
Cons: would have liked a better time window
This is our 2nd AC/Heating system that Christian Brothers has installed for us. They have done an exceptional job both times. They are extremely thorough and hard-working.\r

They also provided weatherization services (sealing air ducts, installing solar screens adding new weatherstripping to doors, and sealing all plumbing areas inside the house.\r
\r
They are a great team and provide the best service in town.
Pros: Best Prices, Honest estimates, and meet deadlines
