I called to see if they still had their so call special and so i a guy answers me and i ask and he responds you saw it on an ad? I said yes then he says "well if its on the ad then we still have it." he sounded so rude so I just hanged up on him. So i still went to the store just to find out that the mattress they had was not the one they posted on the ad. their mattresses price was not the same as the ad. so i obviously didnt buy anything from them. My friend also went and bought an ashley bedroom set that is right next to the mattress store and she was told it will take 2 weeks to get her bedroom set and it turn out 1 month and 3 weeks. She even said that after she made the purchase they did not even call her to let her know that her set was in the warehouse and that she had missing parts. I am not sure if this store is affiliated with billy bobs but if they are it will not surprise me for the lack of professionalism.

THIS IS THE WORSE BUISNESS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! My boyfriend and I just got out tax returns and decided to get a new mattress. They had some great mattresses for a good price but not realizing the awful service we were recieving until we were making a selection. We had to different sales people that kept leaving with out saying a word. They didn't give us any information on the matress they just stood their like a shadow for the few moments they were there. So when we went to check out we asked the man if it was possible to split the payment and he said sure not a problem. So my boyfriend payed cash and I paid with my debit card. Well all was well until i viewed my account the next morning to see the FULL TOTAL WAS CHARGED TO MY ACCOUNT! I called billy bobs rite away and spoke with billy bob himself and told him what had happened he made it seem like it was a small issue asked for my ticket number and told me he'd call me back. He called back a second later asked for the ticket number again and then hung up on me. I called back a half hour later and he said that he spoke to someone that was there because he's not there yet and there looking at it as we speak and he'll call me back when he's there. Okay so its not the store i called it was his cell phone? Okay so he called back and said that the guy that cashed us out want there and to come in any time the following day then quick changed it up to Thursday. So me being nice said okay. My boyfriend waisn't having it so he went in there later on that day to be told that its too busy to do it and the man is not there when HE WAS THERE my boyfriend pointed him out and they still couldn't do it! I called today and spoke with "Billy Bob" and he proceeded to yell at me! And threaten to take their "sweet old time doing it if i push his buttons" please dont go here!

He sold me a mattress and stated there were no pending sales, a day or two later I saw the same mattress in the Sunday paper on sale. As I lived a mile away I dropped by on that Monday to ask him if he was going to honor his word....he basically told me he had no legal obligation to disclose a pending sale and considering I was in uniform I should understand "rules & regulations" and furthermore he is in business to make money not to help me save it....bottom line he is a deplorable human being, do not give him your business. Hey Billy isn't Karma something, you should try being be a man of your word. Geoff currently sleeping on a lowest bidder mattress in Afghanistan

Wish I could have rated less than one star for this un-American POS. Who mocks disabled veterans? Disgusting! You should have said "Thank You for your service" and "How can we help you"?

I gave Billy Bob s one star, because I couldn t give less. I was looking for 2 sets of mattresses and came upon their website. They advertised that they had Serta Pillow Top Clearance...Queen set $169.00 and King set $219.00. Also, Sealy for $199.00 and $249.00 respectively. The reviews on Yahoo for Billy Bob's are all positive. So, I decided to give them a try. I arrived and asked about the specials.The salesperson said he didn t know what I was talking about.Did I have the ad. I said it was on his website and asked him to look it up. He stated they didn t have computers and walked away. I showed him the ad from my phone. He walked over to some some dirty looking, 2 inch unknown brand mattress set and said " this is all we carry at that price range." I showed him the ad and asked why they advertised that they did carry them at that price. He said "that's what we carry" and left me standing there. Today, I get a mailout advertising the same sales on the same mattresses. I called to verify they have the mattresses advertised available. Some guy say's "what you see on the ad is what we have in stock and available" . I told him of my experience and asked his name. He hung up on me. I called back and said I needed his name so I could be sure to speak to him...he said I am Billy Bob, is that enough for you? He then became sarcastic and I called him an ass. He said Are you calling from xxx-xxxx? My reply was," yes, I am. Why?" He said..".Just want to be certain this is your number ". If that was really Billy Bob..he should have been concerned either his employee s don t know his inventory or he is posting and mailing out FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Plus his attitude stinks! BTW, I thought the prices were too good to be true. Get what you pay for kind of thing but if you're going to advertise them....you should have them. I already bought other mattresses but need to get my info ready for the compliant I plan to file with the AG office and want to warn others.

What a nightmare!! I do NOT recommend Billy Bob's to anyone!! We initially bought an entire bedroom set from them in Sept 2011; we knew it'd be cheap quality because of the price we paid, ugh. We could've bought brand name on sale for not much more than we spent at Billy Bob's. But, we accepted our purchase and have dealt with the furniture. Then on 6/27/2012, we went to Billy Bob's to purchase hook-on bedrails, because other places we'd checked only carried bolt-on. All we were looking to do was get the bedrails so that we could finish putting together a bed for our daughter, and the headboard and footboard had actually previously been my husband's grandmothers. Our daughter was extremely excited that this bed was passed down to her, and we just wanted to make this weekend perfect for her by getting the rails put together. What we didn't realize, and admit was our honest mistake, the mattress we'd bought for her at another location was a Full XL, instead of a regular Full size. So the rails we bought were too short. Yesterday was our daughters 8th birthday, and we thought nothing better to make this weekend perfect than to get her bed set up. Unfortunately, we realized the rails were too short, and then checked the tag on the mattress and saw that it is XL (extra long). At 4:45 pm, my husband called Billy Bob's to ask if they carried Full XL bedrails or similar, and the guy on the phone, who addressed himself as "Billy Bob", told us it would be the same as Queen size rails. We asked for the price, and then asked how late they'd be open so we could bring in the rails and our receipt to do an exchange. Billy Bob was a complete jerk, and told us "Well no, I can't give you a refund or exchange, but you can buy the longer rails". My husband immediately asked why we couldn't exchange them, that we were told by the associate we could as long as we had the receipt and the stickers were still on the rails. Aparently, we are not supposed to trust the word of any Billy Bob associates. We had never had a problem before, all of the staff had been extremely nice and helpful when we bought furniture there back in Sept 2011. So maybe it isn't the associates, maybe it really is just Billy Bob who is a complete jerk. The rails cost $39 plus tax, and I am completely disgusted that Billy Bob has no problem losing a customer over $42.17, because he wants to be a jerk and discredit the word of his associates, and not just be a "nice guy" and do an even exchange. We admitted on the phone that we realize it was our error by not knowing our mattress was too long for regular Full size rails, but we also admitted that we should be able to trust his employees verbal promise to us that we could exchange the rails if we needed to; initially told to us by the associate because we told him we weren't sure if we needed the regular 2 rails, or the kind with the extra support rails that go across. So the associate told us if we decided we needed the extra support rails, to just bring the ones we bought back in and they can swap them out for us no problem. Tonight, we realize, from Billy Bob himself, that aparently the word of his associates means nothing at all. Because they can tell the customers whatever they want and make false promises because on the receipt it says "no refunds, no excuses, no exchanges, whatsoever". I wish we would've read the receipt better prior to leaving the store, unfortunately, we were naive in trusting the word of a store associate and fellow human being. So, thanks Billy Bob, for being such a jerk, my innocent 8 year old child now gets a life experience in how rude some people can be over something so petty as $39 bedrails!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! They claim to have the lowest priced mattresses. Internet surfing said they might be right, so we went in. The salesman had limited knowledge and immediately tried to push their most expensive mattress. We knew what we wanted and asked to look on our own and make our selection. Bought a mattress for ourselves and our daughter, both were memory foam. Our Sealy was nice and soft in the store (which is why we picked it) but the one they sent home with us is relative to sleeping on the floor and has a small tear on the seam. Guess what, 2 days later THE SAME MATTRESS IS NEARLY HALF PRICE AT A DIFFERENT LOCAL STORE! I called to see if they had any price match programs and I was very rudely treated. Probably the same rude guy as everyone else telling me there is no way it's the same mattress (which it is down to the name given to the mattress by Sealy), they don't give refunds, and I need to come in and get proven wrong by a salesman or call someone else. Cut me off and nearly hung up on me. Believe me, you will be much happier finding a better deal with better service SOMEWHERE ELSE!

It is amazing how cheap some business men are. I went in to purchase a box frame for a local school to be used as a prop. The man sitting behind the front desk, had to call Billy Bob himself to confirm that Billy Bob would not accept our 501C Tax free form. Granted it was only $5.00 in tax, the idea is that this organization is a Non Profit organiztion and according to the State of Texas does not have to pay for tax, but El' Cheap O Billy Bob wouldn't accept this. Also he would not even discount the frame that we purchased. I will never tell anyone where we got the frame or recommend this run down, hole in the wall place to anyone to purchase any type of bed room furniture.
Billy Bob being greedy does not make friends only enemies and when you die, you can't take money with you.

Wish we could give negative stars.Don't buy from this jerk there are other reputible businesses in San Antonio that deserve your business way more than BB does. He may be cheap, but the dumpster is cheap too and his business is a dumpster. You're taking a chance when you buy a mattress from BB. He's not trustworthy, extremely rude and a bad business man. i went to buy a mattress at mattress firm for $1299.00 but a friend recommend i shop at billy bobs beds. im new to town and never heard of billy bobs. we let me tell you, i found a luxury eurotop with memory foam for $499.00. thats less than half the price of mattress firm. im very satisfied with my mattress and my salesman richard was very helpful and very knowledgable in all my questions. im glad i went to billy bobs beds not only did i save a fortune but i got excellent customer service.

I was in the market for a new king sized bed, my wife and I went to BBB to see what they had to offer, we found a bed that we liked and left. We went to all the major mattress stores in San Antonio and a few more privately owned stores. At each one we picked out a set that we liked and at that point went home got on the intranet and started doing our homework. We narrowed it down to the top three, went back to each one of the stores to find number one.

We found it at BBB and not only did we find the exact same set at another store, it was for $300.00 more. Yes BBB store is less than desirable, BB might be a jerk for hating on kids and yelling at his employees, but what it all boils down to is, not all of his inventory is crap, but if you think you are going to get a $2500 set for $250, good luck !! chances are it will be crap, no matter where you buy it from.

I will give BBB another shot at my business in the future, but I will promise you one thing, I will go about buying a mattress the exact same way. Its a pain in the butt and like a good mattress it will help you sleep better knowing you did. Oh and by the way, BBB does have delivery trucks.

KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE! bought a $2500 california king sized bed and had to pay for $80 delivery. only one frail elder man showed up to bring mattress & 2 box springs to 2nd story apt. husband had to help him. 2 days later i needed to exchange it becuz it hurt my back; was told i couldnt get money back but could exchange it. had to exchange 'whole' set, not just get firm mattress but in same style. compromised with manager that we wouldnt pay delivery again, since we werent satisfied w/bed and husband had basically brought the 1st delivery up himself. next day, got to store and billy bob was there. not a good situation. said we were lucky he was letting us exchange it and he was charging us again for delivery. told us it was very 'christian' of us to have helped the other delivery man, but that wasnt his problem. everytime i agreed with him, he kept raising the delivery charge. told him i was reporting him to better business organization. in the end, we had to pay for delivery again., $80 as prior, what a joke! the store is all about getting your money, NOT CARING OF CUSTOMERS! i called around to 3 major bed dealers and asked about their 'bed trial' time frame. all 3 stated 30 day trial and full refund or new bed if you dont like it. even major department store has the same poilicy. billy bob's DOES NOT offer such a policy, becuz it is about getting your money! once you throw down that $2500, like we did, it's gone and now stuck with a bed that i would have prefered to spend elsewhere. the sales guys are pretty decent, but it is what the master says, goes! they dont have any power to make deals, so dont get enticed by the 'specials'. you will regret it!

All of a sudden a man wearing all black and sunglasses "Billy" stood up from behind a desk and yelled at the salesman named Richard and pointed towards our family. At that time, Richard came and told me to keep our kids off the beds. I then told him that my kids were not on the bed at all. Then the man that had yelled at Richard started arguing with us, which at that time, we decided to take our business elsewhere. As we walked out he told my wife that if we chose to purchase a bed, then he would have his loading guy wipe his nose on our mattress prior to loading them into our car. After my wife told me about the comment, I went back inside and asked for the manager. The same guy stood up and said "Look, if you want your damn kids to touch the mattress, buy the damn thing first!" When I started to tell him that we had intended to buy a mattress, he interrupted saying "Oh cry me a damn river with your sob a$$ story" At that point, I told him that he obviously didn't care about making any sale of any type to anyone. This type of attitude towards customers is clear throughout various reviews that are listed on the internet. Billy Bob's sells a wide variety of matresses. The store is a no frills kind of place. The prices are good however I have not been very satisfied with my mattress. As the saying goes " You get what you pay for" In my case, the price was right for what the salesman said was a good quality matress, however after a short time I was not satisfied with the quality. I'm sure they have some better quality mattresses however the price is also going to be higher.
