The doctor spent about 3 minutes with me. I had 4 different people come in throwing braces, exercises and prescriptions at me. I had to ask the same question 3 or 4 times to get it answered. They wanted to rush you out the door with out answering questions or really helping you. The door to the room was never closed. The doctor didn't even explain what was wrong, then just told me to come back in 3 weeks. The nurse told me that the doctor sees 70 patients a day. I would never go back!!

Best group of doctors I have ever been to!
Both my husband and I have been to this group and
both of use have had wonderful experiences!
Both knees (yes surgery was done)
and was well worth it!!
Once for my back and surgery was not recommended,
but great direction on how to improve my pain situation
was given without pain pills.
I would never have any orthopedic work done without the guidance of an MRI.
The support staff and customer service is also excellent!

One reviewer claims this place is a scam because after many doctors recommended surgery, POSMC also recommended surgery. Maybe she really needs surgery, if that many doctors recommended it. I, too suffered needlessly for years, avoiding the surgery many doctors recommended. I finally let these folks operate, and it was a great experience.

They are on the forefront of the newest treatments and technology. I've had a wonderful experience with them, and have recommended them to friends who echo that sentiment. I saw two different doctors--one for a rotator cuff problem, and one for a lingering neck problem that nobody in 10 years had been able to help with. The shoulder was treated with a steroid shot and PT--and they let me use a PT clinic close to my home, even though they were not familiar with the place. The neck guy--one in a long line of folks who have tried to help me over the years--recommended surgery only after exhausting other options. I had avoided surgery for years, but he was the fourth doc to recommend it, so I decided it was probably necessary. I was enrolled in a clinical trial, have the new technology inserted in my neck, was only a week in the brace, returned to work almost immediately and am absolutely pain free after a year. To know that these people are leaders in the field, participating in scientific studies, and working with medical schools, is what made me confident in them in the first place. I have never waited more than 5 minutes to see my doctor, once I check in. If I have any more bone or joint problems, they are my first choice.

If the reviewer who called this place a scam wants a magic bullet, no-surgery "miracle" cure, then she should look into "Spinal Decompression." Now that's a scam! And she should be prepared for doctors to order diagnostic tests, like MRIs. GOOD doctors don't just look at you and take your word for it that you have a problem. This reviewer's problem is that she either doesn't understand how diagnosis and treatment work, or she doesn't want to.

I went here after many years of neck pain, something I had avoided because I knew Dr.s want to do surgery always and I was not interested at all in that. So after much encouragement from my regular Dr. I went, only of course to be shuffled out of the Dr.s office within 5 mins b/c he said I HAD to have an MRI, Im 35 y/o so Im pretty experienced in knowing when someone doesnt want to give you the time of day, basically it was "you need an MRI, do that and come back" That office visit cost me $25.00 w/ my insurance. So I go have an MRI, another $2000.00, I come back after I have my films, the Dr. comes in and says can you come back tomorrow Im refering you to another Dr. in this office. This time he spent in the room w/ me 2-3 mins. at most, this cost me another $25.00. I come back the next day another $25.00 only to be told you need surgury and there is nothing else we can do for you, we wont even give you pain meds or anything. Now why would a person do all this running around, spending money making more bills when they cannot do anything. ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS SURGERY AND IF YOU DONT WANT THAT YOU WILL BE DISCARDED LIKE TRASH!!!!! THIS IS A SCAM!! So Im in the same boat as I was before I even went, why?????? I called back up there after the last visit b/c they wanted me to come back in 1 week, so I called they next day and they were totally unwilling to do anything. Im a single parent with a full time job, I cant just up and go have surgery be off work and unable to move for weeks. I have a bad disk and bone spurrs its terrible nerve and muscle pain. But they dont care no surgery, too bad for you!!!!!!

The office staff run this office extremely well and VERY efficiently. They have always been very pleasant, appointments are 95% on exact time, you're in and out without long waits and the doctors (and I've seen 3) have also been great. Staff and doctors are WAY ahead of all other offices of this type and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Unprofessional office staff - - they indicated the office is "a stressful office" and they are understaffed. "They have 300 new phone calls each Monday".

The Dr's at Plano orthopedics are great. They each specialize in one area of orthopedics. Our Dr explained in a language we could understand with what had to be done and how long the procedure would take etc. They made sure that our son was comfortable for the duration that his ankle had to be in a cast. The nurses where also very friendly. My favorite experience of all was the short wait to see the Dr's.
