This is my second purchase from Howdy Honda. I returned after 8 years and 184,000 miles because of the positive and honest way I have been treated.

I am deeply grateful to the guys in the service department, especially Andrew Delph the service advisor. He has been so attentive to my needs and really understands how much I love my car. I have an S-2000. It is the love of my life and I often get very emotional when something happens to it or it needs servicing. He has been very caring over the years when I have had to bring in my car. Not too many men in the service department at car dealerships would understand this level of emotional attachment I have to my car. I only trust Howdy Honda with my car!! I am so grateful for all their amazing service.

I loved purchasing my 07 Civic from Eden (salesperson at Howdy) in July of 2007. The service dept has been wonderful. I went back trying to be a loyal customer and really experienced something different. I was sad to find out Eden no longer worked there. I was also disappointed when the salesman, Kevin, insisted that the dealership pays invoice price for every vehicle (please!). In addition, when we met and discussed price, I understood that wheel locks, pin stripe and trunk mat were a courtesy of Howdy, however, later after he came down on the price, he insisted I actually pay for ALL the extras (that would have come complimentary - and it wasn't really a lot of money, but it is hassle that I want to convey) I am fair, but I want the best deal I can get....which is why I am going to First Texas Honda instead. The experience was awful at Howdy and I got a much better offer from First Texas. If you are someone who has heard good things about Howdy -- your friends aren't lying (smiles) -- Howdy Honda just changed!

i got a honda CRV .Tony the sales guy was fast ,efficient and very professional. calm cool and collective. did not give me or my husband any sales pitch and talk a lot . Tony did not ask for more than the car was worth by adding extras on the car like stereo or other things that other car dealerships do. Howdy was so professional and never was anything less but more of what we never expected from a dealership. never tried to talk us into something we didnt want. and was honest when we ask about different hondas. he never tried to hurry us. With all the customers roaming around i could not believe that howdy was never noisy or any confusion . Their was such a huge selection and in every color made all the difference. we were in and out in no time flat. the thing we liked about tony is that everything he said was not only professional but true regarding the vehicles gas mileage and other hondas .he opened up the hood and explained everything from top to bottom then asked if we had questions. Tonys a pro. i have to say. .Sure enough Tony was right. it cost me 25 bucks on the second fillup. Before howdy we went to benson honda a mistake they took up all our time becasue they wanted 3,000 more for the car, the same car howdy was selling. The dealership couldnt keep their lies straight.the salesperson talked about his family life for 5 hours and how he ddingreally need this job. wow he was sure a winner. then after waisting all our time begging us on the way out the door called our house 17 times and even until midnight leaving stupid messages. the sales person at this dealership still refused to match the price we got from howdy. After we purchased from howdy , Benson honda left an ugly message on my answering machine that it was our loss and us buying from howdy would not at all affect their profit or his profit because he sold so many cars this month.also benson forgot to give me back my drivers license and insurance papers and i had to go have a new one made because they lost it. talk about some dumbasses a word of wisdom for new car buyers. be aware, dont go to any dealership before you try howdy first because they will immediately give you not only a pack of lies but add details like {because this is the only honda we have left}, and since it has mudflaps and a sunroof it will cost an extra whopping ridiculous amount. that is what benson said to us that it was the last car. wow you should see the selection howdy has. tony did the paperwork 2 hrs Tony was working fast and did it right the first time. howdy you are exceptionally fortunate to have a fine man like Tony. we will be trading in our truck soon and will never go anywhere but howdy. if you go anywhere else the unprofessional dogs at other dealerships will rip you. We also recommend to people at work to go to howdy first . and that is because you will never regret it.

Bought our van their last year after looking at local websites for recommendations. Buying experience wasn't too bad- didn't try to jerk us around too much. After finally trying to get warranty service this week and experiencing first hand how poor their service department is, we wont be back. In addition, after trying to solicit help from the salesman that sold us the van last year, we learned that he is a rude and insulting individual who doesn't deserve our business again.

I am a repeat customer for Howdy. I have enjoyed shopping there as there was absolutly no pressure to buy and negotiation was a breeze. I have moved to Houston and am seriously thinking about driving up to Austin to get my next Honda.

Howdy Honda supposidly prides itself on customer service and satisfaction. I found very little of either during my dealings. I purchased a "certified pre-owned Honda" which I thought meant it was a car you could drive with confidence. My 2005 Honda Accord EX is mechanically fine, it is all the other things that made me wonder about the quality of the service. I bought my car through the internet site and that night I went and picked it up. The finance people were terrific. They went above and beyond the call of duty, and worked out a very nice finance package that was affordable and at a reasonable price. It was all downhill from there. When I picked up my car, there was less than 1/2 tank of gas. I asked about this, and was told a full tank was provided only with "new" car purchases. The next morning I got my first good look at the vehicle in daylight. That's when I noticed that my "certified" vehicle had no tread on the tires, and was told by a mechanic that they would not pass state inspection. Later that same day, I did more checking out of the vehicle and when I looked in the storage pouches behind the front seat, I found dozens of candy wrappers (with melted chocolate still there). Also found some jewelry (ring) and other assorted trash. When I pulled down the back seat to get to the trunk, I was dismayed to find thousands of Christmas tree needles. This took me the better part of the day to clean it all up. I was also dismayed to discover that no key had been provided for the lug nuts, and had to purchase this myself (which I bought from Classic Honda in Round Rock - they were a great dealer by the way). When I received a satisfaction survey from Howdy Honda, I filled it out and described my concerns. A couple of weeks later, I received a call from sales manager Paul Wendell, who was very apologetic. Even told me he had made a copy of my email and given it to everyone involved with my car and its preparation. I told him I didn't want anything from him, just wanted to let him know there were some problems with his staff and the quality of their work. At that time Mr. Wendell told me that he would "do whatever it takes to make you happy" and insisted that I bring in my car and they would provide new tires. I told him that his dealership was on the opposite side of Austin (I live in Georgetown) and it would not be convenient for me to drive down there. He told me to go get four tires from a local tire dealer, send him the invoice and he would cut a check to reimburse me. I agreed. I went to Discount Tire here in Georgetown and purchased TWO new tires for the front wheels. In all honesty, while the back tires were worn, they still had enough tread to pass inspection, so I did not by four tires as Mr. Wendell offered. When I bought the tires, I also purchase road hazard warranty. I faxed the invoice to Mr. Wendell and about a week later I received a check. A check that was about $100 less than what I spent. I called Mr. Wendell to inquire why. He told me that I was trying to "take advantage" of the dealership by buying the road hazard insurance (which I have purchased with every set of tires I have ever had) and that Howdy Honda would not pay for this. I obviously resented this personal attack - he made it sound like I was trying to pull a fast one. It was at this time that I reminded him that if his staff had done the things they were supposed to have done in the first place, we would not be having this conversation. I also reminded him that he was the one who offered to buy the tires, and was also the person who told me specifically that he would "do whatever it takes to make you happy." Mr. Wendell's response was to laugh, and then told me that I was not being reasonable. I replied I was only doing what he insisted that I do. At this point, Mr. Wendell began raising his voice, so I interruped him and told him it was not necessary to yell, especially considering he was supposed to maintain a professional demeanor. That's when Mr. Wendell told me that he was not going to do anything more. I then said, I guess we don't have anything more to discuss. That's when the conversation ended. Mr. Wendell failed to live up to his promise, out-and-out lied to me, then insulted me. I can assure anyone interested in buying a used car should AVOID going anywhere near Howdy Honda and its used car department. They are rude, sloppy in their quality control, and once they have your money, could care less what happens to you from that point on. I was very disappointed with my entire experience, and hope this review will help others make an educated decision about where they buy their next car or truck.

So I came here to buy my first car, they totally worked with me to find the right car for the right amount with me starting with my dream car and went down from there. I left with an accord, and love it! I will be back to Howdy Honda! :)

The sales staff was very friendly and laid back. There was absolutely no pressure from them for you to buy a car that day. They were also very receptive to haggling and took every offer seriously. Overall a good car buying experience from this dealership.

If you need to get your car serviced here I would look somewhere else. I was leaking oil after a tune up and took it back in. They fixed it for free, but it was a hassle for me to take it back in again.

We purchased our CRV from them because they had the best price for it in town. We were not harassed by the salesperson and we didn't feel pressured at all to make the purchase. He seemed to be very honest from what we could tell, and was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this dealership. We have been very happy with our CRV and will probably purchase our next Honda from this dealership.

      PROS: Friendly, knowledgeable sales people
      CONS: none

When we were looking for a used van we had all the usual trouble finding what we wanted at a price we could afford, then we stopped at Howdy Honda. They made purchasing our vehicle a pleasant experience. The prices were great and the service was excellent. If you are in the market for a used car I highly recommend stopping by and giving Howdy Honda a try.
