Fatso's Sports Garden

Went to the new location on Henderson Pass this evening to watch some football and eat dinner. It was fairly busy when we got there, but found an open table easily. We sat down and wait for our waitperson. She came over after about 5 min and we asked for menus. She was going to walk way and we told her we wanted to order some drinks. She came back with the menus and about 10-15 minutes later came back with our drinks. She was going to walk away AGAIN, and we told her we were ready to order. We sat and waited, and waited for about 20-25 min and finally asked her to ck on our appetizer. She left and never came back to our table. We asked another waitperson and she explained that the kitchen was backed up and it was taking a hr to get food out. We asked why the other girl didn't tell us this when we ordered our food???? So another 15-20 min we finally get our appetizer. After 1 hr 15 min we get our food. EVERYTHING on my plate was cold. Sent it back and got a new plate in about 5 min. Why couldn't they have done that the first time around???? She did comp my meal, but was very dissatisfied with the service and food overall. Good place to go if you are just planning on drinking beer and watching a game. Not great for much else.

I just returned from the new location of Fatso's on Henderson Pass.

I ordered a couple of beers and something to eat. I asked the lady behind the bar if dessert was offered and let me know what kind of pies were served without showing a menu. I ordered a slice of pie. Later, I discovered when I got my check, that slice of pie was $5.79! I spoke to gentleman on staff with a red shirt and the bartender about the price. They guy looked into it and even made a call to someone. Unfortunately, he mentioned that the price was correct and that it comes from Boerne. If I had known in the first place that it was going to be that much, I would have just driven to Boerne myself.

After returning home, I checked the menu from the website and it shows $2.38 for pie, so apparently something is not right.

The new place is nice, but I think I got screwed on the slice of pie. I think I will let my friends and family to beware of the slice of pie.

Fatso's ha sbeen around for a while and still keeps to it original roots - very relaxed and fun atmospher. Picnic style tables, sand volleyball, decent food, big screen TVs all add up to a great place to just go and chill. Karioki is fun, pool tables and outside volleyball keep ya busy. SPURS game nights are a blast, as folks there really get into the game.

PROS:
CONS: Could have cleaner bathrooms
