I loved Ocones!

I live in Georgia but plan to have my wedding in Texas with my friends and family, and they have been wonderful to me an out of state bride to be!
I made an appointment during a week day. I had a specific dress in mind and they were the only shop in the area that carried it. I came in and Lydia was finishing with another customer but I was greeted warmly and asked to fill out a customer card. When I was finished I was shown to the dressing area and asked to go ahead and pick out anything that I wanted to try. When I looked for THE dress I had asked for at first I was disappointed because I couldn't find it, but that was only because wonderful Lydia had already pulled it for me! She didnt even blink when I chose 5 others to try on and asked to try on the one I had pre-picked last.
The one I picked was a corset gown and she made extra sure that it looked wonderful before I went out to show my mom and matron of honor. My mother ordered the dress that day with no problems and the dress came in months before expected!
I just called because I thought I needed to make and appointment for a fitting, but they advised me to wait because my wedding is so far off. Then told me I could come in anytime to see my dress and try it on!

My sisters and I have shopped at Ocones for several special occasions and have always received wonderful treatment. The dresses are beautiful, service is great and prices are reasonable. What more could you ask for? I would recommend every bride stop by Ocones.

I am really surprised by the negative reviews for this place, I know each bride has their own experience and taste, so if you are a girl who prefers personable, laid back people, this shop is for you. I LOVED how my sales girl was not pushy and left me with many options. She was never sales-like, nor made me stay in a dress forever--that is one thing I can't stand when I have been places. If a dress is not me, I do not want to sit there discussing every little detail of the dress, I want to try on the next one! She let me do this and I tried on 5 dresses in less than a hour and even my sisters tried on 6 or so bridesmaid dresses in an hour.

I used Ocones for my bridesmaid's dresses. When I called to get a price quote, they had the best deal and were very nice. My girl's went in and tried on, called in their measurements, and one being nine months pregnant just called in her actual dress size based on her wedding gown. This store could not get their act together!! I made sure to set up all of the girls names and information. We also paid for half of the girl's dresses. This was way too difficult for the Ocones staff! They over charged, undercharged, and didn't even know who my bridesmaids were half the time. I think I had the same talk with them ten times. The best part was that EVERYdress came in way too big and needed a lot of alterations. When I called about this, Mrs. Ocone was very rude and on the defense. I know that my tone of voice was very kind and I only asked what would need to be done about alterations. She said this was not a custom fit dress and would not fit the girls anyways. May I add this was over a $200 dress. My wedding gown was also not custom fit and it fit me like a glove! All in all, this was a horrible experience and I am heart broken that I will have to remember this when I look back at my wedding. Do not use them! It seems that many people have had the same experience!

Fantastic Customer Service My wedding was September 2010 and I went to several bridal salons searching for beautiful dresses for my bridesmaids. Every single salon disappointed me with their limited selections and lack of customer service skills. I was so overwhelmed and extremely worried because I was running out of time and energy. I was reassured that an entire new staff was on board and that I would be pleased. Pleased is an understatement! They knocked my socks off with the timing of my order, the quality of the dresses, and the professionalism throughout the entire ordeal. I am so happy that I didn't let the negative reviews sway me away because I would have seriously missed out! I love this bridal salon and I will definitely reccommend to anyone planning a wedding!!!!!

I love this place. Its so nice and the upstairs alterations department is AMAZING! They made my dress fit like a glove. They were just amazing. My sister brought her dress there two years ago so I had to see if they could do the same for me. They were packed when we went but it didnt matter, we were taken care of and the dresses were so pretty and reasonable. Id go there for the best selection and value around the area. And I can't thank the alterations department enough. Truly talented woman up there.

To Mr and Mrs Ocone I just wanted to thank you for helping me order and tailor my wedding dress. I went to many stores in DFW looking for a dress. I did find my dress (the cameo pink one) at another store, but ordered it from your store since I liked your store the most. You were very helpful! Thank you

Dear Mrs. Ocone, Vicki, Mary, Staff, It's been 2 weeks since Courtney and Joel were married, and I am spending a lot of time replaying the wedding over and over in my mind. It was perfect in every way, and she was a beautiful bride. She was stunning. Thank you so , so much for the wonderful service you all provided us; from the first day we walked into Ocones, waiting for the very last day when I picked up Courtney's freshly steamed gown for the ceremony, you all have been a joy to work with. All of you helped us at one time or another in our many visits to the shop and in turn the dress turned out magnificent- everyone loved it! We have been telling everyone "Ocones!" Vicki, thank you so much for your kindness and patience0 you were never anything but super pleasant. You didn't seem to mind that Courtney tried on a million gowns before she found that perfect one! Mary, thank you for fitting the dress to Courtney so that it appeared that it was made for her very body. It was beautiful and perfect! I made an appointment for friday afternoon and told them that I was looking for a specific dress I had already tried on in Georgia and that I wanted my family who live in texas to see it. When I arrived Lydia was busy with another customer but I was asked to fill out a card and taken to look at the dresses. She had already pulled the dress I want and when I choose 5 more to try on she didnt even blink.She made me feel like I was the only customer she would have that day and paid so much attention to me my mom and my matron of honor even when she had to take a phone call or two. She didnt even mind when I asked to try on the dress I requested last. The other women were very nice

Nice People. I checked out the reviews on Google after I made my appointment! The experiences below made me leery of going. I didn't even want to go anymore to Ocones. I went with my mother and nothing could have been better!!!! The reviews that are written below are some bad experience, but I am writing because of a GREAT experience. Mrs. Ocones, the owner was there, but a lady named Lydia helped me out. She was wonderful and very helpful! I would recommend Ocones, and sorry for the bad experience, but I had a great one.

Great Experience I have had nothing but good experiences with this place. I went try dresses on one Friday afternoon and Lydia was a huge help! She let me try on as many dresses as I wanted and let my family in on all of the dresses. Once I had decided which dress I wanted, all of the staff allowed me to walk around the store in my dress and show it off. The staff was a huge help and did nothing but make me feel as though I was the most important person in the store. I appreciate all of their help!

I found my dress here and fell in love with it. We ordered it- it took about 3 months to come in. The alterations are done by Marie and she is so talented. The dress is strapless and I wanted some shear cap sleeves/gathered straps. I brought her the material and a picture and she made it for me. The dress was perfect!

After looking all over the DFW metroplex for a wedding gown, I walked into Ocone's Bridal and found a dress on the $99.00 rack! The dress needed alterations and I was concerned that the alteration fees at Ocone's would be too high so I found another seamstress to alter the dress. Unfortunately, the alterations were poorly done and the dress did not fit well $425.00 later in spite of the name of the business (Perfect Fit Alterations). I took the dress back to Ocone's and Mary, their seamstress, was able to save the day altering the dress to fit much better. The christian environment at Ocone's was evident the minute I walked into the store.

I really liked Ocone's. It has been in business forever and the people there are all very sweet and helpful. They have a lot of gorgeous dresses. The only thing that I wasn't 100% satisfied with were the alterations. Their lady is great at what she does, but when I picked up my dress for my bridal portraits, she hadn't finished everything that needed to be finished (after 4 fittings). I even asked to come in the day before they steamed it so that I could make sure everything was good... and when I came in she hadn't done the alterations yet, which made it pointless. Then, my bustle broke at the beginning of the reception, but I am told that is really common, so that may have been out of her control? Overall, if I had it to do over again, I would definitely still use Ocone's and their alterations lady (she really is good!) BUT I would just be a little more persistent than I was.

I bought my wedding dress from this store and found a beautiful dress off the rack for a great price. They had a pretty good variety of dresses, although other stores have more variety. I would definitely recommend checking them out, but do your homework first as I've seen other reviews on them that weren't very good. I did not have an issue, but it seems others have. Also, I did not take my dress to them for alterations because I heard many bad things about their alteration services. Instead, I took my dress to Tailoring by Rios in Fort Worth and he was absolutely AMAZING. See my separate review for him.

I went to Ocone's this morning to look for Bridesmaid dresses for my younger sisters' wedding. The ladies here were extremely friendly and they had a huge selection of Bridesmaid dresses. I have been to a lot of stores to shop, including when I was looking for my wedding, and this was by far the largest selection I have come across. I had my 2 year old with me and the ladies pulled out toys for him to play with and kept him entertained while I was trying on dresses. If I could, I would give them more stars. They were awesome!

this place gives you a bad taste in your mouth they are very rude and snoody and then on top of that if you say anything to the owner he will defend the patron instead of the customer. will never recommend this facility

Awful place. Went with a friend to pick out her wedding dress. The staff did not want you to talk to the bride and give your opinions if the dress she likes is cheaper than the one they are trying to sell. The lady helping us actually put her hands around my neck! I dismissed it at the time since it was my friends day not mine, but when I called and emailed Mr Ocone he called me liar saying no one in his store would do something like that.

My daughter purchased a dress, the dress was fine. But, the service is awful. Worse customer services I have ever received in my life. My daughter was in tears at her fitting. She went to another place, Weddings on the Blvd in Ft. Worth, (WONDERFUL PLACE!!!) Thank goodness for them.

I went into Ocones to look for a wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. The staff was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. I did not feel that their selection was particularly good. I certainly went elsewhere for my dresses.
