It's been there as long as I've lived in Dallas and I just went a few weeks ago. I thought their soup, the lobster bisque was the best ever and my one year old liked it just as much. I recommend it!

Not so much

I was expecting so much more. The people who gave great reviews to this place really need to get out more. Mediocre service, each course was ever slower to come out, bones in my trout, and I considered it over-priced for the quality. Not going back and not recommending it to any friends.

Excellent location; great food; friendly and efficient service and the owners are hands on. There were six of us and all were very pleased with our options and vowed to return! Adam made the visit worthwhile! It's great when the owners appreciate your business. And to have excellent seafood on top of that - next time you're in the mood for seafood in Addison, stop by Remington's. You'll be glad you did.

first try was a good one
by L O.
Wanted to try something new and this turned out to be a really good choice. The appetizer sampler had the most tender calamari I've ever eaten and a delicious stuffed portobello mushroom. Get a reservation because the place stayed full the entire time we were there on Friday night.

30 years in Addison serving Seafood!
by wendyyork1
I just found out the other day that this addison seafood restaurant, remingtons has been in Addison for 30 years! Wow, they shoud get an award for that alone in these trying times. I have had their seafood before and have to tell you the fish is the freshest around. I come from a costal town so I am pretty picky about my seafood. You can smell a frozen variety at the lower rated establishments on this guide. Addisons Remington Seafood has arned it's rating not only for longevity, and fresh seafood, but also fantastic casual fine dining. Give them a try and tell the happy anniversary! 30 years! Wow!
Pros: The freshest seafood in town!
Cons: none

Great Service! Staff was eager to Please!!
by sprngbrd32
This was a great experience. My boyfriend and I were visiting Dallas for Valentine's Day and made reservations here. We arrived a little late, and the host was eager to find us a table within seconds. My boyfriend is not very adventurous when it comes to eating out, and was not familiar with the sauces provided with his tilapia. He hates to complain at restaurants, and tried to hide the fact that he didn't like the sauce. Our waiter noticed, and brought him a different sauce every 5 minutes until they found something he would like. Even the owner helped, without making him feel like they were making a big deal about sauce.
I personally, loved every bit of my meal (sauces and all) from the crab cake appetizer to the stuffed flounder. I wish I had room for dessert!!
It felt very inviting and upscale at the same time. We were able to have a romantic Valentine's dinner and watch the NBA Allstar Slam Dunk contest without feeling like we were in a sports bar.
I would definitely recommend for locals and those visiting from out of town.
Pros: Great Service, Great food, Caring Owner/Staff
Cons: none

The best meal we had in Dallas
by markpatredis
My wife and I were in Dallas for a week of rest and relaxation and stumbled upon Remington's. We were trying to find something besides a chain restaurant and pulled into the parking lot at Remington's because the restaurant parking lot was still pretty full at 8:30pm on a Wed. night. I was looking at the menu posted outside the restaurant when some patrons were exiting. Every person we asked said the food was outstanding and moderately priced. We still weren't sure we would go in when Adam, the manager, came out and answered some of our questions about the menu and invited us in. We were not disappointed. My wife had a specially prepared tilapia that she said was prepared unlike any she that she had ever had and it was DELICIOUS. I took one bite and was begging her for at least 3 or 4 more. I ordered salmon with a delightful lemon sauce with capers that was to die for. I usually order salmon because I know my wife is not a big salmon fan and I don't have to share. I offered a bite to be fair (since I was also enjoying her tilapia) and she commented, " I think that is the best salmon I have ever tasted." It was a thinner piece of salmon that was perfectly prepared- juicy and savory. We equally enjoyed each others' entree. The lobster bisque was also wonderful and the salad with homemade vinegarette dressing with blue cheese crumbs was also very good. Are you getting the picture? We had found a dining experience gold mind! All in a warm and cozy, family owned atmosphere.
Our server, Kim, was very attentive and provided everything we needed before we felt the need to ask. If you live in Dallas, and you haven't found Remington's, you're missing the boat. If you live out of town, put it on your list to checkout the next time you're in Dallas. We definitely will dine there again when we come to Dallas (and may go back before we leave town)!

Best Seafood and Service in DFW
by AMG80
My experiences at Remington's Seafood go back several years and have always been excellent. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants - I had my birthday party there. The food is fantastic, fresh fish, plenty of side options, always the perfect match with spices and herbs!! The weekly specials are always exciting detours from their standard menu. The staff is well trained, is professional, friendly and always on point. They always have great suggestions for en tree's, wines and desert!
The food and service are 5 star while the prices are so reasonable it seems crazy. Get in their before they realize they could charge more and we would pay it!! The atmosphere is warm, inviting and has an element of 30's/ 40's charm. There is a back room, perfect for private parties and the main dining room has plenty of privacy for a couple. The art work is beautifully displayed and the fish tank is bright and teeming with life, maybe dinner!
Pros: food, service, parking

We have eaten at Remington's for years. The food is always fresh, nicely seasoned and always great! Service is excellent with friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere. The owner, Adam Remington or his manager, are always friendly and visit most tables during our meal. It just makes you feel "at home" and like you're "family" when you go to Remington's.
Pros: Fresh Food, Great Service, Warm Friendly Atmosphere
Cons: Parking Lot Crowded

Remmington's Seafood Grill in Addison TX
by AlexMallea
Best traditional seafood at reasonable prices. Try the trout Almondine or crab cakes and the spinach. The Sonoma salad is excellent. Generous pour on the cocktails. And for dessert, Key lime pie with raspberry sauce and coconut graham cracker crust or hot apple pie a la mode with brandy cream sauce.

This is one of our favorite places in town. Great seafood, great service. They take reservations which is helpful as well. And the lobster bisque is TO DIE FOR.

Freshest Fish In Town
by remcon
I am a huge lover of dining out, and especially love restaurants that stick to the basics, ie, great food, great service, and a warm environment. Remington's has each of those fundamental qualities that makes dining out a joy.
The food is basic, and is very fresh. Remington's does not rely on sauces and extra ingredients that often can try to cover up a piece of fish that otherwise is mediocre. Instead, they keep it simple and serve fresh, quality fish.
The management is on a first name basis with its regular customers, so Remington's feels both welcoming and comforting. The service is excellent.
If you want a great piece of fish at relatively low price point, Remington's is always good choice.
Pros: Great food and great service.
Cons: None

GREAT SERVICE--GREAT FOOD
by jgermer
We were met at the door by the owner, very personal and showed us to a table. The waiter was very professional yet had a personal touch which was extremely helpful with our children. He walked us through the dinner and different specials of the night. Best crab cakes that I have ever tasted. I would suggest this restaurant to any family or business associate as a restuarant that is well rounded, meaning that the restaurant is geared to the customer.
Pros: service for all clientele,

Remington's Seafood Grill is a great place to take a business acquintance for lunch or dinner, or to meet friends for a great dinner experience. The service is always friendly from the Hello to the Good Bye and the seafood is always very fresh. The last time I went, I had crablegs that were absolutely delicious! We've always enjoyed the personal service . From the wine list to the fabulous food, it's a great experience.
Pros: Very fresh seafood. Ambience is very comfortable.

Awesome experience every time
by Foodieno1
The food and service have been tremendous every time we have visited. You must have the lobster bisque. Everything on the menu is great. There are none of those mediocre items as menu filler. It's all really, really good. Service is exemplary. By far the best seafood to be had in town.
Pros: Great unobtrusive service. Great food.

Best Seafood I've had in Dallas
by tx2323
I grew up on the coast and had quit ordering seafood in Dallas... until I found Remington's. They have fresh fish, prepared simply (not trying to disguise old fish) and a good atmosphere. I send anyone looking for good seafood to Remington's. Try it out if you like good fish at a reasonable price. Well done!

Any occasion = special occasion
by planokevinmccarthy
My wife and I love to go to Remmington's. The atmosphere is not too dressy/not too casual, the servers are knowledgeable and professional and the prices are reasonable.
I usually get a Caesar salad and a double order of the Prince Edward Island mussels appetizer (they're the best in DFW;) my wife usually has one of the specials or the gulf shrimp (and she loves their bread).
I'd definitely call for reservations on the weekends.
Pros: Food, service, atmosphere & price.
Cons: Traffic on Beltline road on the weekends.

This is one restaurant that does not disappoint.

Hands down--Best Seafood in Town!
by tlcaggie98
If you haven't been to Remington's yet, you must go! Located on restaurant row in Addison, the Remington's building may not stand out in the crowd from the appearance on the street, but once you enter and are greeted with a smile, get ready for a great experience. My husband and I are regulars at Remington's and the food and customer service never disappoint. We nearly always choose from the varied list of specials offered each night (my husband always enjoys the Sole, and I love the Red Snapper), but have also selected several favorites from the menu such as the tasty crabcakes, as well as the key lime pie for dessert. Yum! I'm not usually a big key lime person, but this recipe you should try. Served with homemade whipped cream, it's delicious! We've always been greeted by management and even greeted by name on subsequent visits. Attention to detail is so evident at Remington's...from the great customer service, management's concern for each guest, and most importantly the variety of delicious menu items, you can't go wrong. I highly recommend Remington's to all of my friends and family!

Freshest Fish in Dallas!
by paigelackey
I love Remington's! They have been in Dallas for 28 years and anyone in Dallas knows that you don't survive here unless you have great food and service. The fish is always super fresh and they have an incredible menu. I've tried over half the menu and can't get to the other half because I have so many favorites already. The waitstaff are friendly and eager to make it a great experience for you.
I recommend trying the specials. They always have a great board of specials available along with the menu. You can't go wrong either way. I eat there regularly and haven't had a bad meal yet. This is the place I recommend to seafood lovers including those that are from the coast. You can't find 'em any fresher!
Pros: Great value
Cons: Make a reservation for weekend nights. They sometimes get busy.

Freshest seafood!

The food is consitently great. We have dined here since the early 80's. The crabcakes and the Gulf Red Sanpper are super fresh and the best in Dallas. Check out the chalkboard for specials. Service is always prompt and friendly, and they pour a nice martini, too

Great Seafood reasonable prices!
by mgm75089
Were do I start... Locally owned and operated by people that are aware that you create a reputation. I don't know how they do it. Fresh Seafood, good recipes, and reasonable prices, and last but most certainly not least great service! Daily specials and sunset or early-bird specials, these deals don't last long you snooze you loose! Make sure you get a salad they are prepared fresh and to order. Some of my favorites include Gumbo, pecan crusted catfish, and any recipe with Mahi Mahi... I am not the most adventurous eater ,but have yet to order anything that wasn't exceptional! Don't be afraid to ask for a dish the way you want it. they will make every attempt to get you what you want.
Pros: Yum for $
Cons: Check hours berfore you go not open as much as I would like.
