Guadalajara Mexican Grill & Bar

The salsa is great, I could have eaten bowls of it. Also the food was delicious I would recomemnd trying out the new menu they have just installed. The new item is cerviche and its delious. The happy hour is new as well and is from three to seven. They have mango mojotos , pomogrante mojitos, original, and mixed berry, margeritas are on happy hour and beers. The atmoshpere during happy hour is fun but it can get crowded during the dinner rush. The bartenders and very nice and make good company.

I am NOT kidding. We got up and walked out, after showing the waitress the 6 legged crawling vermin And it wasn't an "outside" R-word either, like Texas has, it was a 3/4" inside R-word, like the kind a place has when there's an infestation. Disgusting.

Pros: Service was prompt

Cons: the vermin that crawled out from under our chip basket

We visited there on a Friday and it took a long time to get a table for 2 adults and a kid. But the margaritas kept us happy and once we got seated our service was geat and the food was excellent.

I recommend reservations on Friday nights

Going for a B-Day celebration our experience did not match our expectations. It took a LONG time to get our drinks and they were rather bland. Rita's were weak and not very tasty. The food was dry and below average tasting. As with most places there was an automatic gratuity with our party but at 18% it was a joke. Based on the service of the staff they did not earn that amount and made off like bandits. This experience makes it easy when choosing to go back or not. There are plenty of other places in town that deserve peoples attention.

Im Canadian, took me awhile to adjust to the huge number of Mexican Restaurants to try. Also took a while for my taste buds to adjust. They dont have 'real' Tex Mex in the great white north. After ying, Lupe's, Pappasitos and a bunch of other's we found Guadalajara....we hardly ever have to wait, the Marguaritas are perfect, love the Pacifico shrimp...they are HUGE!! All this and a great value too...gotta love it!!

Best darn Three Milk cake in the whole universe. Be prepared to take most it home though. It's a huge slice of heaven.

The "Rita's" are killer too!

I go to the Guadalajara on Irvington&Fulton (off of 45N), and it is the best ever! The people are friendly, the food is excellent, the service is fast, and most of all they remember you. Besides the food, the bartenders make excellent drinks!

They may actually have one of the best dish in the country. 'Guadalajara Enchiladas'. You might want to try something different than just beef enchiladas all the time. I did. Fantastic.

Loved the food, the atmosphere and the service. The music kept me dancing in my seat and the delightful waiter topped it all off! My 9 yr old sang the happy song when she took her first bite!

The food is decent and definitely worth the trip, but the one thing that keeps me coming back is the salsa. Besides the salsa fresca at Chuy's, this is the most refreshing a flavorful salsa you will find in Houston. I have to stop myself after the 5th refill of my bowl.

This restaurant is very good. It provides a variety of foods; from salads, soups, seafood, and traditional mexican food. The margaritas are great. They are best when you order a meltdown.

I feel that one gets the "Best value and excellent quality" for the money's worth and the 'crew' is simply fabulous and exceptionally friendly!

An excellent place to eat - they offer a good variety of both Tex/Mex and more traditional spicy mexican food. The Chips and Salsa are among the best I've had in Houston. Check it out for yourself. THe only drawback is that their flour tortillas are a tad sandy. OTherwise, it is an excellent place to go.
