I am very nervous about being pierced and I DO NOT have a friendly relationship with pain. For several years I wanted a lip-line labret piercing, but couldn't get past my pain issue. My hairstylist told me about the piercer Raine at Tattoo Zoo and told me that she felt completely comfortable being pierced by her, and so I decided to go and talk to her. From the moment I met Raine, she put me completely at ease. She explained the procedure step by step, showed me the equipment she would be using, told me the type of pain I would feel and the intensity and duration of it, and gave me complete after-care instructions. The best part? Raine had a bedside manner that would put most doctors to shame! She understood my fears and was so reassuring and empathetic that I had no doubts about this decision (she even wiped my tears...yes, I am INDEED a coward!). This woman has the patience of a saint, and I will be forever grateful for that. Raine was extremely thorough in her placing and marking of the area to be pierced, and the procedure itself went like clockwork...there were no surprises for me during the piercing or in the aftercare.I have had two other friends go to Tattoo Zoo (one for a piercing and another for a tattoo) and they were both highly impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness and caring attitude of the staff. I myself am thrilled with my piercing and highly recommend Raine and Tattoo Zoo to anyone interested in getting body modification work.
PROS: Friendly and knowledgeable with a PERFECT bedside manner!
