These guys took me directly to what I was looking for , I have always had problems getting a jet black background on my drawings so I took one of them in and showed them what I was trying to do and they directed me to what I needed. The guy at the cash register, wish I could remember his name was the most helpful as he explained the technique I needed to use. Wish I had talked to them a long time ago. Stayed up half the night using the advice I was given and am really happy with the way it is turning out.

This is one of those stores with a seemingly infinite number of employees milling around or having a great chat between themselves, but they'll go out of their way to avoid eye contact for fear you'll ask them for help. Prices and selection are OK. The older employees are a lot better than the angst-ridden kids who are especially customer-avoiding..

They were very helpful and friendly when I called to get some information over the phone, and when after looking for the products that I needed and didn't have what I wanted, refers me to other sources. to me this is the mark of good customer service, in trying to satisfy your clients needs rather then store profits. I will always make them my first choice for art supplies. Thank you for your help.

I used to come to this store all the time.. especialy when I was younger, and needed those large boards for science fair projects in high school.. you could get lost in the aisles and amazed at the different fun things they have for every person's artistic creative side.. keep in mind this is not a michaels or a hobby lobby.. more "art" as in the name
PROS: tons of good stuff, inexpensive
CONS: nothing, if this is what u want

If you have the time to shop and browse this is a nice place. They offer tons of selection for all kinds of arts and craft projects. From seasonal to everyday they do offer alot. Unfortunately you do have to have the time to wait to pay or get a good opinion on something you may have inquiries about. So I guess it's a toss up you can get what you're looking ofr but you may have to wait to actually walk out the door with it.

I love to browse and gift shop here. They have lots of very nice sketch book/journals, artsy craftsy projects, pretty stationary paper, art books, etc. They do carry a very full line of serious art supplies, but their prices are somewhat high and it can be difficult to find knowledgeable help. My opinion is that their strength is as an art-oriented gift shop or the place to find a weekend craft project for the kids - rather than as a supplier that caters to serious artists. But a fun place to browse through the afternoon!

I shop here because I have to, because there's no alternative. Although the store carries almost everything I'm looking for, it just sucks to go there. You inevitably wait for up to 30 minutes to buy 1 pen, which they then need to price check using their archaic binder system. The store is also weirdly organized, and prices and help are hard to find...
