Dakota Blue Homes

We too have purchased a home from Dakota Blue Homes in Magnolia Texas. We gave them a very large deposit in February and were told our house would be ready in July 08, Aug 08, Oct 08, Nov 08. It still is not ready. Since this purchase my father- in - law has passed away This home was for him to enjoy in his last years, he died Oct 28. Next: I really don't understand why a company would continue to build and finish "spec" homes that don't have any buyers when we continue to sit here and wait for our home to be built and have already commited 50 percent of the purchase price.Let's talk about how many sales consultants we have seen since this purchase 5, the last one being the worst. This woman had the audacity to yell at us because it was our fault (we spent $13000 in upgrades) our house was delayed since we customized it. In big bold letters in the sales office it offers you the option of customizing.We have spoke to the general contractor, the project manager and to know avail we still have no house. A lawyer is in the workings at this time.So I guess if you don't mind waiting this company is for you, as for the rest of us who need our house because of apartment lease renewals etc, this company is not worth your time. Seems that there are some serious financial difficulties going on that aren't being dealt with or addressed. So Dakota, whoever you are: cough up the cash

To start with...they were 7 months late finishing the construction of out home. Delay reason included: building on the wrong lot and then building the wrong home on the correct lot. Now they refuse to mow and care for the vacant lots in the neighborhood. They are in violation of city code and community guidelines, but do not care. See pics for proof here:

Stay away from Dakota Blue. Go with a more established builder that takes care of their customers. Dakota Blue does not.
