Chuck E Cheese's

We use to take our daughter and friends here all the time, but you really have to time it correctly on the weekends because they are absolutely swamped. The building just is not big enough. For a family on a budget, this is a great place to take your kids and have a great time.

Chuck E. Cheese is a fun place to take your kids or have a birthday party. Bear in mind, though, that at any given time about a quarter of the games will be out of service. Also, their coded handstamps aren't as foolproof as you might want to believe. My wife and I took our children to meet another couple and their children. We arrived about fortyfive minutes apart and got different handstamps, but when we left, we were able to leave with each other's children, and our friends were able to leave with our infant whose sticker clearly had a different code on it than they did. Bottom line -- keep an eye on your kids just like you would anywhere else.

If there was a Peter Piper Pizza in Denton, we'd probably go there instead. We frequent one in Dallas, and find it much more enjoyable, even if it is lower tech and doesn't have automatons, video gimmics and peppy teens dancing the same dance to every birthday party. All the games work, the pizza's better, and there's no illusion of an artificial safety mechanism.

I appreciate the one token per game idea. The kids enjoy getting to play games before and after eating. This restaurant was nice and clean. Their customer service was great!

I must say, I waited too long to take my son to Chuck E Cheese, it is affordable, safe enviroment for your kids and fun for adults too. The salad bar is fabulously frresh...and you must try the cinnamon stix.

PROS: Safe enviroment, inexpensive, food actually good
CONS: weekends are too busy
