Very disappointing stay. I stay in Westchase area on business, and actually belong to a lot frequent travlers reward program with all hotel brands, such as Marriott, Hilton, Starwood. I decided to give it a try and stay at this Marriott (usually stay at Hilton down the road). What a mistake! Never again would I come back, nor recommend this dump!

I stayed at this hotel while attending a convention, and I enjoyed the accommodations. There was a problem with the elevators, though. They would break down whenever too many people crammed on them, and when 1,000 people leave a convention session, that's probably going to happen when there aren't any stairs available to take. It was in kind of a bad part of town, and it wasn't near any attractions, although Houston overall seemed like the kind of city where you have to drive everywhere.

During our stay my wife and I decided to spend my birthday at the Marriott Westchase. We wanted to try out a different Marriott property in Houston. Although the property is not remodeled yet, their staff was amazingly courteous and even managed to remembered my name as I walked by the front desk and bell stand. Three such staff members stood out among the rest. I just wish I had received an email after my stay so i could mention their name in the survey that Marriott typically sends out.

-The Stay-
When we arrived at the hotel a lady and gentleman at the front desk greeted me with such great smiles. They even knew it was my birthday even though I didn't have it on my reservation. I was pleasantly upgraded to a wonderful suite with a sauna on the Concierge Floor. They even went above and beyond (as if the suite weren't enough) to send up a slice of cheesecake wishing me a Happy Birthday. I do have to say Kudos to Jennifer, Michael and Lauren at the front desk for such FIVE STAR service throughout my entire stay. The next time my wife and I are visiting Houston we look forward to seeing their smiling faces when we arrive.

Pros: great suites, free wifi for ELITE Rewards, breakfast buffet

Cons: room service doesn't speak english

We stayed at the Marriott Westchase in Houston over Easter weekend. We were looking forward to a comfortable, relaxing weekend at the hotel since we knew it had been renovated from the Adam's Mark. However, when we got there, we noticed that many amenities that are often found in other hotels, such as shower caps or refrigerators, weren't in our room.

When we went downstairs to ask the receptionist about this, he was very rude, irritable, and had a sarcastic attitude. His first name was Michael, and though I didn't get the spelling of his last name, it sounded like Gwen/Gwynn/Quinn. He proceeded to tell us that refrigerators didn't come in the rooms of ANY hotels in NORTH AMERICA. That's right. Not just any hotels in Houston or even Texas, but all of North America. Not only is this the most broad and ridiculous generalization that I've ever heard, but I've also never heard of a large hotel chain that didn't provide refrigerators or shower caps for their guests. The last thing I want to do when I am exhausted and check into a hotel is call room service and wait for them to bring me a small shower cap or haul a refrigerator into my room.

Later when we asked Michael about the wireless internet and made a further inquiry about WiFi usage, he was very sarcastic, snappy, and had a terribly patronizing demeanor. With an attitude like that, it's anybody's guess how this location manages to still stay in business. To top it all off, they turned the air conditioning off the last morning that we stayed there. We were very offended by the lack of customer care and hospitality at the Marriott Westchase and won't be coming back again.

Pros: Comfortable Beds

Cons: Very Rude Service, Clogged Shower, No Amenities

I went to the adam's mark for a brunch on father's day with my family and my 20 month old son. It was very nice except for on disappointing feature no changing station in the bathrooms so I ended up having to take my son to the locker room in the pool area to change him I find this very disappointing. It is a nice hotel but I would not recommend it to people with infant children!!!!!! Valerie Brown
