Angela Vega has given me the best haircut of my life. Twice. And I intend on going back and back again. My roomate is a stylist and he keeps complimenting me on my haircut. My best friend Meg said that it is the best haircut I've ever had, and she's known me through some fabuous hairstyles.
You get all the best in expertise, knowledge, and quality time that people in L.A. would spend 200 bucks on!!!!!
Angela took her time getting everything perfect, even when using clippers! Simply the Best.

Laura has been my stylist for almost 2 years now. I love her and intend to see her for years to come. She is inventive and honest. She will give you a multitude of ideas and tell you what will work and what won't. Also, she is a master colorist. But don't just go for her, go for the salon as well. Its clean and well kept. Everyone who works there is friendly and welcoming. I don't know what else I could say to encourage you to come to this salon. Just do it! thay rock!

Valdez is brilliant and so are his stylists. They have rescued me over the last year from the dire mistakes of a cosmetology college that shall remain unnamed, who, when I went in for foil highlights, dyed all of my hair orange. Through the TLC of the awesome Melinda, my hair is on it's way to recovery. Melinda mixed the perfectly warm dark blonde shade to match my natural color to work in low lights and fixed the botched cut, too. My hair looks great!

The salon is small and quiet, and the stylists are friendly and knowledgeable. They also offer refreshments and hand massages while you sit under the dryer. Love them! Give them a try, and ask for Melinda. She's the best hair stylist and colorist I've ever had! I'm actually sad to get up and leave when my hair is finished, cause it's fun chatting with Melinda. But I'm always excited to go show off my hair!

I finally found a great stylist to do my hair. I have been in Austin for almost a year now and bounced around several other places trying to find someone that did a great job every time I come in. The salon is great, but Hayley really makes a special effort on each visit. She always makes me feel at ease, always has great ideas and is always willing to listen. I would recommend my stylist to anyone wanting a great experience with their hair!

This is the best salon in Austin by far! I love the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone there. Everyone knows you by name and always takes a minute to say hello. Melinda is the best hairdresser ever! She always listens to what I want (and I am picky) and delivers every time! I get compliments on my hair all the time. She is very friendly and I always enjoy chatting with her when I'm getting my color and cut. She also gives the best hand and hair massages! Melinda will be my stylist for life!

I absolutely LOVE this salon! Not only is everyone very professional, everyone is also very nice and personable. The complimentary glass of wine and hand massage just add to the plush and luxurious vibe of the salon. And my hairstylist Melinda always knows exactly what I need, even when I don"t know yet what I want. She always takes my wishes in consideration, while giving me expert advice on what cut and color suits me best. Speaking of color; Melinda really knows how to work with color, especially highlights. I've gone to more seasoned stylists in the past and none have been able to get my highlights as close to the scalp as she has, which look more natural and save me time and money, because I can wait longer in between visits, since it takes a little longer for my roots to show. And all this for a reasonable price!

I have lived in Austin for 11 years and have been to probably 20 different stylists at 20 different salons. I no longer have to look since I found Nikita! He is a truly gifted stylist who provides both fabulous color and stylish cuts. Estilo Valdez Salon is the BEST thanks to fabulous stylists and the ever personable, Simon!

Pros: Nikita, Simon, great parking, hand massages under the dryer, great reading material, and the fact that there are no kids running around!

Hayley DuPriest is by far the best hairdresser I have ever been too. I currently live in Dallas but drive to Austin every 6 weeks just so Hayley can cut and color my hair. It's hard for me to find a hairdresser I like and feel comfortable with but I easily found this in Hayley. I trust Hayley to do whatever she feels like is right for my hair. When I first started seeing Hayley, I had long thick hair all the way down to the middle of my back. I wanted something different but wasn't sure what to do because I've always had long hair. I told Hayley to do something dramatic but for her to do whatever she wanted. I trusted her to cut and style my hair without telling her what to do. She cut it off into a gorgeous stylish bob that I love. It's so trendy and fun. I love it! I have never received so many compliments regarding my hair. I recommend Hayley to anyone!

I have very difficult hair to cut; it is curly, wavy, and has a mind of it's own. After searching in the Austin area for over 10 years to find someone who could do something with my hair, I found Nikita. I have been going to him for the past two years and my hair looks great. I get so many compliments it is unbelievable. I know he does well with all types of hair and styles since I often arrive early and have to opportunity to see the finished product. He is truly a master. Give him an opportunity you won't be disappointed.

Nikita has been doing my hair for nearly 2 years. He's a wonderful guy with a real passion for doing GREAT hair. Nikita works with precision and efficiency yet takes his time and does gorgeous work. I receive compliments daily on my cut and color. I leave feeling refreshed and like a new person each time! I heart Nikita!!!!

This is my first time to write a review, but I just had to! I go to school in Lubbock, Tx and when I finally found a hairdresser that I liked, he left me! :) His name is Stuart Williams and he's moved to the Valdez Estilo Salon in Austin, Tx. And guess what? I have too! Now I schedule my appointments around my trips home to San Antonio and I drive up to Austin just to visit him. Lucky for me, he works in a beautiful salon with a fun and relaxing atmosphere and amazing customer service. They are always sure to give you a call to remind you of your upcoming appointment and there's always a smiling face to greet you when you walk in. I highly recommend the Valdez Estilo Salon to anyone and everyone in the Austin or surrounding area, both men and women alike. Stuart, along with the other talented hairdressers are great for color, cut and many other services. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy a hand massage while waiting for your color to set?!

From the moment I walk into the cozy, elegant salon, I found myself in a retreat of sight and sound. This salon offers all of the pampering luxuries that even the most spoiled diva or deco would love, they specializes in Redken color, color corrections, hair extensions, damaged hair repair, cut, styling, hairpieces by an awesome, knowledgeable and friendly staff under the supervision of the Owner/Stylist Ron. After year?s year of faithfulness to my former Stylist and salon, Valdez Estilo has been a breath of fresh air of modern style, cuts and color that clearly shows the great results of being in the hands of a really very high skilled hair designer Like Stuart Williams. Ron, The Owner and his Whole staff great highly professional and talented in every discipline, I?ve never see anyone unhappy in my many visit there. Everybody stops me at work and even in the street, shops,restaurants, to ask me "who does your hair color?", ( it never happened to me before), I am very proud of my hair and the great work that I get to show off! Lisa Withey gives the best haircut ever. It has been a while since I have been there, having relocated to Georgia, so I don't know if she is still there, but if she is, go to her!! She is fun, friendly, and talented. You will look and feel like a model once Lisa has done her magic. An added bonus, she is absolutely hilarious. You'll never have so much fun getting a haircut again.

The name of this salon is actually Estilo Valdez. I recently saw 2 stylists here, Nikita and the owner Ron. Nikita focused more on himself than my color and when I went to ron for my cut he didn't listen to my needs and was not very friendly. I would not reccomend this salon to ANYONE.

I was recently referred to this salon by a friend and couldn't be happier. I had a great cut and highlights from Nikita. He was so warm and friendly, made me feel right at home. I told him he could do what he thought would look best with my hair and it looks great! My highlights look so nice and natural, have had lots of comments on how good my hair looks. I also had a brow wax for the first time and Nikita was great and very gentle...definitely recommend him!

Greg Sullivan gave me highlights last week and i love them. he is very personable, listens to his clients, and was gentle with my tender head. he gave my slightly damaged hair a rejuvinating treatment. i highly recommend this stylist.

I have naturally curly hair and always struggled to have a "styled" cut. Lisa is fab with giving me a great modern easy hairstyle and is amazing with color. I've recommended her to many friends and everyone loves her and continues to go back. If you want great color and hair go see her. She really listens and makes the experience fun.

I have difficult hair to work with -- very straight (stands up if you cut it too short) hair with cowlicks etc. If you don't cut it right it tends to grow into a mullet. Buddy gives the best haircut I've ever had, plus he's a great guy to talk to during the cut -- entertaining, listens well, tells great stories. Highly recommended.

It is a Redken salon, however I was never pressured to buy their products at all. It seems like the stylists have a lot of personal freedom, which in my experience leads to happy stylists, and tends to attract very skilled ones as well. My appointments have always been on time (even if I show up a little early Buddy is almost always ready to go right away) and they get you finished on time as well.

Pros: Very skilled, Personalized Service, Scalp massage

I can only give this place a 12 out of 10. Everytime... everytime a great cut and experience. Buddy is the one who has repeatedly given me the best hair cut for 2 years running. He knows more about hair than any stylist I have used and more about the science/physics of hair to make me look GOOD. This place rocks. If your a guy or a gal who appreciates a great Stylist go see Buddy!

both me and my partner and some of our male friends go to Buddy. None of us have ever received anything but a perfect cut from him. He gives the best scalp massage and a stimulating shampoo. He is always positive and very humorous. Very clean nad fun salon.

Buddy Measles has been cutting my hair for five years. I am thrilled that he is now at this beautiful salon. I won't let anyone else cut my hair. He takes so much time to listen to what I want, always shows me how to style my hair like he styles my hair, and always always pampers me!!!
