I'm worried that cutbacks have perhaps included evening managers - I certainly don't see them around during mealtime like I used to. Lot's of new waiters which I would think would mean managers on the floor - watching, observing, offering assistance, checking on customers satisfaction. New people mean oops happen! Isn't it the managers job to help smooth over the oops and support the new waiters? Where are they these days. I hope they aren't in the back office with their feet up.

We came to Cracker Barrel during our vacation trip for breakfast, and simply put--this is one of the best breakfasts ever. The southwest meat and potatoes are incredible with its spicy, American sausage and it is fluffy, buttery egg companion. In addition, the biscuits are soft, warm and made with love. My wife?s plate consisted of bacon so good only the best could make something so crisp and soft at the same time. Lastly, my wife cannot eat wheat, she has celiac disease, and their diverse menu was more than able to accommodate. A highly recommended breakfast.

Pros: Ambience, parking, food
Cons: service sometimes forgets you are there after food is served
This restaurant is always packed on week-ends but during the week, a table is usually at the ready. Once the server has served your food here, it is vitually impossible to get drink refills. The food is served at differnet temperatures and often I have been given the wrong order. However the prices are good and breakfast is served all day. If you can put up with the bad service, this is only an okay meal.
PROS: Breakfast all day
CONS: Service is bad

I have given this establishment quite a few chances and they have come up short over and over again. I love the fact that I can find one of a kind items not sold anywhere else, but the service is awful. Each time my family visits the staff is rude and unattentive. "Special" requests such as refills or condiments are consistantly met with scoffs and the rolling of eyes.
