I just came back from an overseas military job. Once I got back I called the people at Skin. Believe it or not those people remembered me. It's great to be remembered...they treated me as if they just saw me yesterday. I requested the whole works and again they out did themselves. This place maybe not be as beautiful as other day spas but it's comfortable, quaint, and outstanding staff.

The people at Skin and my future husband out did themselves. My future husband had made the appointment for a day of pampering. To make a long story short, I had just finished with the most amazing facial I had ever had. Then the girls moved me to the massage room with a therapist by the name of Irma. I was so comfortable that I think I was falling a sleep. ( I think I did) Anyway, when I woke up... the hands that were on me....were of my future husband....Irma had switch with him..... then he popped me the question. Yes, Yes, I said. The girls had champagne and beautiful flowers for me. It was fantastic. I will always remember "Skin the Day Spa". Those girls know their jobs. They are truly the best!

I thought I would try this little place. Needless to say....they are amazing. When people say Texas has the friendliness people in the world...They weren't kidding. I just had a facial and massage both were the best I ever had. I spent over $100.00 and got $25.00 gift card to use the next time. I promise you it didn't last that long...I set up my next appointment already. Sometimes it's the small places that give the best service and customer appreciation then the large spa companies. I guess they know that keeping the customer satisfied and happy will keep them in business.

There alots of day spa in San Antonio, but this little place is a real treat. The staff is very friendly...what I mean is they treated me as if they really knew me ( by my name). My experience was fantastic. First, I just wanted a massage...and it was the best I ever had so I decided let's try a facial...I was just in heaven. I just could not get enough of their services so believe it or not there was room for a pedicure and manicure. I spent almost all day there..it was Great! They may be a small cozy place but compared to the larger spas I have been to.... They have the best treatments, services, and the staff is the friendly group I have met in a long time. People don't take my word for it....go see for yourself.

The staff, particularly the receptionist, was very friendly and accomodating, able to get me in quickly for a last-minute pedicure. However, I was a bit disappointed in the setting, which was shabbier than I expected. There was some sort of massage pad in the chair that no one turned on or showed me how to work. I prefer the newer modern big "roller" massage chairs. The selection of polish colors was good. Overall, I felt my 39.99 "pedi of the month" was overpriced for what I got.

I have been to this spa now on three seperate occasions. I live in Chicago, but travel extensively and always try to get an appointment at Skin The Day Spa for their great facials. I have had pedicures and massages too. Love them all. Great envirnoment. Relaxing. Great staff. Just love it and will keep coming back. I like the signature facial... lasts a little longer, seems even more relaxing while still getting the job done.

You know, I come to this spa as often as my budget and time permit. The prices are reasonable, and the service is always great. I have never had a spa service that wasn't top notch. One thing that really impresses me is how the staff can know so many people by name. I'll keep coming back.

I recieved a gift card from my husband. I thought he went a little overboard but I am so glad he did. I had a mani, pedi, massage and facial. The mani and pedi were very nice. The massage was WONDERFUL and the facial invigorating. I would recommend this spa to anyone. The spa itself is cozy and homey. The staff are wonderful. I wish that I had found them before so I could have used their sevices more than once before my move!! Thanks again, Skin!!!

The ladies of Skin know how to take care of their customers. I have had several facials and get my brows done there somewhat frequently and I am always pleased. I would agree that the space is like a cozy cottage and the services are excellent. If you are looking for professionals who are responsive to your needs... this is the place for you!! They are kind, courteous, flexible, detail oriented, and well trained professionals. I happened upon their business by chance a couple of years ago and continue to return intentionally because they are the best!

Vera has been doing my nails for three years now and she's great, incredibly meticulous. Recently Denise has started doing my eyebrows, Im very particular about who does my eyebrows but she's great, always leaves the perfect arch! This is a great place, everyone is very friendly and they always have a smile to share!

I had never had a massage in my life until 5 years ago, when I was given a gift to this spa. Since then, I've come back every other week! The ladies here are magnificent. They know and care for each of their clients personally; I can't imagine that larger spas can treat individuals as other than yet another nameless client. In fact, my masseuse and I talk throughout each massage and have become close friends. They work around my busy schedule and are always there when my neck seizes up. I enjoy this small "cottage" atmosphere, and would not go to a larger spa. I have never failed to receive fantastic service, and neither have my relatives or friends that I've sent here. In fact, I always feel very spoiled when I leave. Keep up the good work, ladies!!!

What a pleasure to do business with a company so very thoughtful and sincere. I could not believe what they did for me. You see, I wanted to buy my sister a gift but I had no way of paying for it on line . So, I called and talk to the owners, I explained I didn't owe a charge card but wanted to buy a gift certificate. So, my sister recieved her gift certificate and the people at Skin.... let me mail them a check from California. I truly am appreciative of their time and long distance phone call. Now, Tell me if that not Great Service and Great people to do business with. Oh! My sister loved all her services.

When the owners of Skin called me to ask me to contribute a review to their website I was delighted to do so. I have been going to Skin for over 6 years. I use all of the services they provide, but go bi-weekly for the great massages I have learned to rely upon. The atmosphere is friendly, and the people there through the years have been great. The facialist there is one of the few I have ever come across that actually goes the extra mile in cleaning and caring for my skin. Every person is different, but I can't imagine that anyone would have a bad experience at Skin. They are great.

I recieved a gift certificate for a day at this spa. It was horrible!!! The lady was not friendly when I got there, she just had me wait and wait while she chatted on the phone! I also had to wait forever because the lady who does nails was not even on time!! She messed up on my nails, I had 1 nail that looked 2 different colors!! The pedicure was in NO WAY relaxing!! My facial was creepy in that dark room and she kept messing with a small mole on my face which she thought was a blackhead!! My massage was in no way good! The lady didn't even cut her nails so she'd be scratching me all over the place. As a Massage Therapist Graduate, I know for a fact this was a horrible massage! It was in no way relaxing!! This place is so small I could hear people talking throughout my time I was there. They said it was going to take 2 and a half hours and it took 4!! I will never recommend this place to ANYONE. It was horrible!

Before I went to Skin the Day Spa, I read all the reviews and decided to take a chance. It was the best decision I could have made. I requested a Marine spa pedicure. The water was just perfect and the mask was a cool mint. Yes, my feet turned blue because the mask is blue. I guess the other person didn't know anything about spa pedicures. I guess in your industry there are people who are never happy. But, I was very happy and hope many people go to your location. I even joined their pedicure of the month program. Again I want to thank you girls for going out of your way to give the best service and quality of workmanship I have ever experienced. May your business grow leaps and bounds.

Recently, my Mom and I went to Skin for lots of pampering services. We had Body Wraps, Massages, Facials, etc. I'm not a skinny girl and usually feel intimidated by spas, but this place was so wonderful. I had the best time. I told the ladies there that I would write a review for them and haven't had a chance until today. I just want to say that my mom and I had a great day.. great services. My Raw Earth Pedicure was fantastic and my mom had the Marine Spa Pedi and loved it as well. I'm surprised that the last person had anything negative to say, as our experience was the best ever. We plan on going back regularly.

I am not from San Antonio, but I was here visiting, saw that this place was reviewed so highly, and thought I would give it a try. I got a spa pedicure and was very disappointed. The atmosphere was relaxing, but the service was lacking. My feet were cold in the mud wrap and were almost blue by the end to match the mud. The pedicurist walked in and out of the room leaving me to enjoy the cold mud wrap without spending much time working with my feet. There was no element of massage and she barely even smoothed my calluses. I left feeling like I needed to go find a real pedicure.

Well, first I would like to say that the staff of SKIN are amazing. They are so friendly and lovely!!! I live in Pittsburgh, yes, all the way up in Pennsylvania 1500 miles away, (GO STEELERS) and my boyfriend lives down in beautiful San Antonio. I came to visit him one week and he got called into work, so I looked for a spa online to get a pedicure. That was last fall, I think September or October. I have been back to SKIN five or six times. Everytime I come down to visit him, I make it a point to grab his sister and get pedicures. For his birthday, I treated him to a massage (so I could get my pedicure) and he loved it!!!

I have had nothing but professional friendly treatment at SKIN and I LOVE them. There is nowhere that compares in my book!!!

And, part of me thinks that I should give them a bad review so their books stay open, but I want them to be successful!!! They are a great bunch of ladies!!!

See you on Saturday, my tootsies miss you tons!!!

My sister, Pat's birthday was April 3, 2007. She is not a spa person before meeting you.
After her joyous day at the Spa, including a perfect clear blue sky day and no traffic to and from the spa, I received several calls about her experience at your spa.

Ladies take a bow and thank you for making my sister's Birthday Present a pleasent one.

It was so easy to set up the full package Spa treatment. I was taking a course in downtown, New York. During my lunch hour I set up the appointment for my sister. So easy and no tears! Pat loved the facial, pedicure (she says her feet felt like she was walking on air), the massage and her manicure which she promise to keep it up. She love the people there. Great conversation . I highly recommend all to come and try them just once and you will be sold!

I have been to this spa before and the service was great...but this time it was even better. The owners did some remodling and the place looks terriffic. Now I have a place that gives great services, looks very inviting and is very relaxing. These girls go out of the way to make your visit one to remember. If you been to the other places...try them at least once...I promise you. You will come be back.

My experience at Skin was very relaxing. The staff was courteous and professional. I received one of the best massages by Debbie and my men's facial by Denise was awesome. The nail techs Misty and Deby did a wonderful job on my pedicure. I would highly recommend Skin as a place to go if you just want to relax and enjoy yourself.

I been to many spa but I have never been to one like this one. It was Great! During my massage the therapist (Irma Lopez) gave me the option whether I wanted to relax or talk and if I spoke to her she would speak back... Needless to say... I just want to relax and listen to the peaceful music. This is the first time... a massage therapist really worked on all my muscles. It felt so good and I really felt I got the best massage ever. She even put a hot pack on my back and covered my feet with hot towels... Wow! If you want a great massage... ask for Irma. As far as my facial... a lady by the name of Denise... did a fantastic job and I ended up buying a package of six. Needless to say....I really felt I got my money worth and then some. They don't have the fancy place but they have one thing working for them....They do a great job.

I shopped around on the internet and found Skin The Day Spa. I loved the how easy their website was to navigate from the very beginning. I booked appointments for myself and a friend and really enjoyed our services. I had the Broadway Facial, and the mask she used was cold, then warm, then cool again. Really made my skin feel great. I also had the Herbal Massage, and loved everything about it... the massage table was even warm. My friend had the Regenerating Facial and she said it was great. She loved her Herbal Massage too! I wish we had booked pedicures as well. Someone was getting a pedicurewhile we were there and it smelled wonderful.. pumpkin spice. Yum. We'll go back for our next girl's day out.

Pros: Fair prices, friendly people, good facial & Massage

Cons: It was busy while we were there and parking full.. but we waited for someone to leave, found a space and it was worth the waiting.

I am a regular customer at Skin The Day Spa. I have been coming here for years. Today I was looking at their website to schedule my next appointment when I saw a review that just didn't look right. These women go out of their way to make sure my experience is great. Misty does my pedicures and manicures every month and they last better than anywhere else I have ever gone. I don't have artificial nails, but I don't need them with here painstaking care of my natural ones. I give Skin The Day Spa a BIG APPLUASE.

I've never had a facial before so I don't have anything to compare experiences. But, I would like to say that I wasn't impressed. I had a European Facial and Pedicure scheduled and I arrived about 10 minutes late because I had trouble finding them. Granted, I was a few minutes late but, half way into my facial they told me they would have to reschedule my pedicure because they overbooked the pedicures and wouldn't be able to do mine. I was unhappy with that since I did schedule both of those a week in advance. The facial wasn't terrible but I wasn't in awe. They used dermalogica products and I already use dermalogica so I was let down. I guess, I just wanted them to use something that I wasn't familiar with or maybe unique. I also wasn't impressed with my surroundings. It reminded me of a trailer or small home. I don't think that everyone would be unhappy with their experience since I did see many good reviews and that is one of the reasons I chose to go there. For my first time I was disappointed and I will probably try somewhere different next time.

The Facial was the best in town! Highly recommended.
The set of nails for our bride- 2 lifted in 24 hours and 5 more within 3 days. They boast they do it all by hand vs. drill. It took 2 hours and the set was worthless. Had last minute panic trying to repair nails for the bride
The pedicures- in plactic bucket with stones and fragrance.- Water got cold quick- massage was good. Wouldn't go there again for nails or pedicure
Ambiance for nails and feet- HORRIBLE- cleaning sink in same small room. Banging and stones against sink while I expected to be relaxing.

Skin responded but didn't have a clue who we were but pretended to know. They said we came for repairs, but it WAS a new full set. The bride had not had artifcial nails prior to coming to SKIN. 2 hours and within in days, the nails had all lifted. Small cozy ambiance it is NOT.

Pros: Best Facial

Cons: nails lifted and pedicures done in a cheap plastic bucket with stones.

I was so happy that I came here. The women here were so warm and friendly.. and knowledgeable about the services they offer and the products they sell. I felt comfortable the minute I walked in the door. I had an Executive Half Day package and the massage, facial, manicure and pedicure were great. My friend had a Broadway facial and her skin looked pristine and terrific when she finished.

I would recommend this spa to all my friends. I must say that I have been to plenty of spas, not only in the U.S. but in Mexico and South America. I believe this spa to be one of the best kept secrets in South Texas.

The thing about this spa that I loved is how comfortable I was made to feel. Very relaxed atmosphere, and I didn't feel like I had to be a size 6 in order to fit in and get good treatments. Since my first visit I have become a regular.. getting into the Pedicure of the Month club which has a different feature pedicure each month. The people are very professional and friendly and each service has been great. The facials are to die for.

This place is amazing! I called and got a same day appointment for an hour-long massage; it was so relaxing that I asked if I could stay for 90 minutes instead. Wonderful atmosphere, very skilled therapist, heated massage table, subtly scented massage oil and gels.... worth every penny and then some. This is the best massage I have gotten in five years of living in San Antonio.

I was so impressed with the professionalism and sincerity of the staff. The atmosphere was comfortable, easy, quiet, casual . . not pretencious. I just really liked it. The pedicure was really great.. I like that they have a pedicure of the month. I had the pumpkin spice pedicure and it smelled terrific. The massages were some of the best I've ever had, and the facial was wonderful. I recommend the Executive Half Day Special for the services you get and the value.

I visited the spa for the first time and have been back on a consistent basis. The women of Skin do perform above and beyond the standard of a true and legit spa. These women work hard to assist my needs for stress reduction in conjunction with a pleasant enviornment. I felt they met every expectation and made me feel welcomed as a male client. I will be a loyal client!!!

Skin is an extraordinary experience in pampering and relaxation. The staff is highly professional and knowledgable. The service was exceptional and the price more than reasonable. I have visited several spas and find Skin to be my favorite.
