Mans best friend training packages are over priced for the quality of the
training and i believe there's nobody watching your dog 24hrs in norcross so don't be fooled. Just go check on your pet after midnight and tell me what you think so really do your research before you leave your family member their.

Since attending obedience & pro classes I have learned many things. Lucy Belle is getting so much better especially at PRO. She has found her voice and is using it a lot more at home.
Thank you for your time and patience. Lucy Belle is an awesome addition to our family of Chihuahuas and we have noticed her behavior improving every day.

Angel was not an Angel at all before coming to MBF she is a completely different dog and very well behaved. We were surprised to see the improvements from just two weeks of training. We were concerned she would not be trainable but we were wrong. We also realized that we (the humans) were half of the problem. Now that the humans are trained as well, we are enjoying our home life so much more.
Thanks Trish!

Annie was born sweet, but undisciplined. She is the love of our family, but before coming to Mans Best Friend for training Annie did not have any rules enforced at home. Annie would run out the door if we opened it and didn't hold her.

I took my boxer mix for training at Man"s Best Friend in Carrollton and it was a waste of money, I paid about $1300.00 and my dog only learned to sit, get down and stay, I found this place a total rip off. the dog still have behavioral issues and basicly it was a bad decision to take her to man's best friend in Carrollton, very dissapointed with the place and in top of everything my dog got out there with a kannel cough and I was charge for the shot anyway, plus I had to take her to the vet to get meds and I had to paid there as well.
If you love your dog and want to train them properlly, do it at your home with a private trainer, is more efective and a lot cheaper.

My rating for Man's Best Friend in Carrollton, Texas is **0**

We began training shortly after getting Oreo. Oreo had some training experience but didn't reach graduation. After about a month of weekly visits the dogs became better behaved around visitors to our house and on walks. Their overall obedience has been vastly improved and we look forward to moving on to group classes to get comfortable with other dogs and people!!

Pee Wee was a reel challenge! Trey carries her all the time and she had absolutely no skills except eating, looking adorable, and being loved. Before training Pee Wee??s bottom NEVER touched the floor. We never saw her in a sit position! When we got her back after Deidre had her for two weeks, it was amazing how she compiled so happily. She looks even more precious in a sit, and she doesn??t mind heeling, coming, or staying either! Pee Wee had her own stubborn ideas before training, and we thought she??d never change. What a wonderful surprise! Thank you Deidre, for the miracle!

Like everyone else already stated if you're in the area and you have a dog that really needs training this is the place to go. Everyone I've talked to has had good results from going here, so I figured I'd give it a try. I wasn't disappointed and if I ever find myself with a new puppy I know exactly where to go.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the excellent job you??ve done training Bandit, my Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Bandit was brought home when she was eight weeks old. From the start, Bandit was curious, energetic, and ??all puppy?. She was not the complacent, humble puppy seeking the owner??s approval. Quite the contrary, Bandit was wild and very independent. As the weeks and months went by, I worked with Bandit, trying to find ways to communicate with her. The methods I knew from training a corgi in the past didn??t work with Bandit. As my frustration increased, I began consulting friends and colleagues and other dog lovers in search of something that would work. Bandit turned 5 months old, and I sadly came to the realization that I just couldn??t get through to this strong-willed dog. Though I was extremely attached to Bandit, I contemplated giving her to someone who had more time and skills to devote to her development. I was extremely heartbroken.

Finally, I found Man??s Best Friend. When I came to the facility to inquire about the program, I was welcomed with friendly people, confident that I would see a significant improvement in Bandit??s demeanor in just to weeks. When I asked how this was going to be achieved, I was told that training is based on consistency, repetition, and lots of positive reinforcement. To say the least, I was extremely skeptical, but enrolling Bandit in the program was my last hope of keeping her.

After two weeks went by, I went to pick up Bandit and observed how she was taught to heel and sit. I could not believe that this was the same wild dog I??d dropped off two weeks prior! I was stunned to watch how well the trainer communicated with my dog.

Since then, I??ve been attending follow up training classes with Bandit. They are doing excellent in training me and Bandit to communicate with each other. I look forward to the classes each week. I truly believe that the outcome of any learning experience is largely based on the quality of the teacher. It very clearly shows that MBF has the patience, dedication, and passion for the work you do. I really enjoy their style; they are calm, patient, and friendly, yet very focused on the points of instruction they want to make. Man??s Best Friend is a pleasure to learn from ?? no wonder Bandit changed her ways!!

Thanks to entire staff. I know you all work together to achieve positive results. From what I have experienced, your program works!

Both myself and Bandit are now proud lifetime members of Man??s Best Friend. I recommend this training center to all dog owners!

We just want to ??Thank You? for training our dog ??Grumpy?. We especially want to thank our trainer Rachel who??s been training Grumpy with lots of love. Grumpy is a Jack Russell Terrier, so he has a very strong drive. He used to go out of control very often. But now, he knows how to listen to what we say, so he??s been behaving very good. He??s such a sweet dog who is fun and well-trained. People around us are impressed how much his behavior became better.

We rescued a 3 year old lab mix and decided to take her to MBF after we got tired of her dragging us along for walks and saw her aggression towards other dogs. After her 2 week stay, she was very well mannered and so eager to please. She now heels beautifully and I can take her for jogs at the park without having my arm yanked out of its socket. She still has issues with dogs, but we have been attending group classes for 2 months and she is improving every day. One note I would like to make is that you really get out of it what you put in- they build the foundation of basic obedience, but you must practice with your dog in order for them to keep improving. I can tell a huge difference if I go a week without practice and go to group class- she isn't as responsive to my commands and acts up more than usual.

The staff is helpful and caring. While she was there for the two weeks of training, I was called several times with updates on how she was doing. Whenever I have a question, they seem genuinely concerned and give helpful advice. One of the highlights of my week is group class- it is so much fun to see how much she improves weekly! I would highly recommend the lifetime package- it provides an endless resource and discount for food and boarding.

These guys are great. In my opinion there is none better. My dog Marley, an 85 pound retriever pound rescue, was out of control and very aggressive towards other dogs. The care that he received during his two week on site training was super. The trainer was always available to answer my questions, truly cared about my dog and would give me a progress report any time I called. The very critical follow up lessons to train me on the proper way to work with my dog were excellent. Their insistence on using only positive reinforcement taught me a lot about my dog and what motivates him to execute my commands. After the two week initial training and the follow up lessons I have also attended the Saturday morning group sessions and they not only emphasize continued training but are a lot of fun. The bottom line is that my dog received the best of care, is now very well trained, no longer aggressive and a wonderful part of our family.

I took my dog to mans best friend hoping to see some real results. Although I knew not to set my expectations too high, I told them I only had two main goals....to have her walk on a leash and to not bolt out doors. Well...basically they taught her to sit, stay, and somewhat heal. Her walking improved a tad, mainly because they threw a huge choker collar on her...so hey who wouldn't walk better then? Without it she's still just as bad. And as for bolting....THATS A JOKE! I feel like I've done a better job myself then they did at all. I guess I am just really dissappointed given i payed OVER $800 just for the lessons....plus almost $150 for extra attention...PLUS extra $$$ because my very healthy dog got sick even though she had already had her kennel cough shot (she still has yet to completely get over it). I honestly now wish I had just taken her elsewhere that would not have cost me an arm and a leg plus a pocket full of sales pressure.

Pros: nice people

Cons: don't take no for an answer easily, not impressed with results

I took my dog to Man's Best Friend and enrolled him in the 2 week training program. My dog had a lot of issues for them to work through - obedience, separation anxiety, and what I considered serious aggression and socialization issues.

They were extremely helpful and contacted me several times throughout the 2 week period. My trainer, Jacqueline Godefroy, was fantastic! She is a miracle worker! I was amazed at the improvements he made in just 2 weeks. My dog, who used to be extremely unfriendly and even aggressive in certain situations, was a different dog. He was excited and happy to be there. You could tell he was proud of himself and all he had learned. He loved it and loved them because they treated him so well. Jacqueline showed me how to work with him and encouraged me to do the weekly follow up training which was included free of charge in the package I purchased. I did take advantage of these one on one sessions, and they made a huge difference in his progress. They were also incredibly helpful for me because I was able to ask questions about things that may have come up during the week, and continue to expose my dog to other surroundings so that he could improve even more.

A few months after completing my training, I realized I needed to find my dog another home because my situation changed and I could no longer care for him the way I wanted to and the way he deserved to be cared for. He needed more space, attention, play time and exercise than I was able to give him. I was devastated about it because I love him very much, but the reality of the situation was that it would be selfish for me to keep him. I knew it was best for him but I didn't know what to do. I was at a loss so I talked with Man's Best Friend about it. They were so great to me and promised to help me through it. Quite honestly, they often provided emotional support for me and probably could have charged me for therapy! They didn't have to take such an active role in my situation, but they did because they cared about my dog and genuinely wanted the best for him too. They went above and beyond to help me help my dog.

The story has a happy ending too! I found him a great home with a wonderful person on a huge ranch where he could run and play all day long. Man's Best Friend even helped the new owner by meeting him and giving him a training session with my dog. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience or better group of people. They were worth every penny, and I will never forget them!

Our dogs (90lbs and 75 lbs) went through the two week training, which is the hardest part, and go at least once a week as we purchased the lifetime package. Yes, it is a lot of money to spend on a dog but now seeing how well behaved my dogs are it is worth every penny!! We have been attending classes now for 13 months at least once a week. The classes at first were a chore but now I enjoy them and the staff as much as my dog. I know this because the entire time we are at MBF his tail is wagging. In addition to socialization for my dog, it helps me to make sure I am consistent with the training. Sometimes I feel the follow up training is more for the human than the dog. I know I am guilty of letting things slide or start to create a bad habit but the Trainers are excellent and patient at reminding me how things should be done so bad habits are not formed.Because I am around my dogs all the time, I "feel" that they are not as well behaved as they should. Then I go over to a friend's house and realize just how great my dogs behave!! I am not concerned any more about having friend's visit my home. My dogs do not beg, they do not try to crawl into someones lap, they don't lick or are a nuisance and when you tell them to go lay down they listen. In addition to all of the compliments I have received about my dogs from other people I think the highest compliment that was paid to me and MBF's is when my vet wrote "Great Dog!! Very well behaved" in the chart. I am not going to kid you, it takes a lot of time, effort and energy to have a great dog but you will definitely reap the rewards. The greatest reward for me is I enjoy spending time with my dogs 100x's more than before they went to training. I don't get frustrated, aggravated, or upset with them anymore - I truly want them to be around them. I don't come back from a walk more stressed out then before I left. MBF gives you a the tools and all you have to do is use them.I would highly recommend Man's Best Friend to anyone that is looking for dog training.
