I use to live near Dr.McNary office but I moved from the area about 3 yrs ago. I travel from Sugar land/Richmond area to take my chihuahua's to there doctor's appointment.
My babies has been going to this Vet since they were born. I remember when my chihuahua was in labor omg I was so devastated !! I never had to deliver puppies the staff really calmed me down. It's one assistant that's been there forever I can't think of her name I always call her friend. She is so king when my puppies are sick or just coming in for a check up she's always so caring she treats them as if they were her own. Dr McNary is excellent he actually remembers all of his patients/pets as I like to consider my pet's family. He's affordable, knowledgeable and en-expensive. You can even get your pet's prescriptions right there and it won't cost alot now is that great or what !!!!!!!!

I have been going to Dr MCNary for 10 yrs and i can promise you he is a great vet. I remember the times when i did not have the money to take my dog and i would call him and tell him my dogs problem and he would say bring him in and i would tell him that i did not have the money and he would say you can take care of that later just bring him in how many vets do you know that would do that for someone. I live near the Woodlands and take my dogs all the way over there.

To most people who love their pets they can almost be like their children. So who is caring for them is most important. Dr.McNary and his staff are truly great. We have been going to him for over 6yrs. and we all love them there! He does not and I repeat does not over charge you and will try give you options before just medicating your dog up. That is one of the real reason I love this place.The clinic is always clean. So on behalf of all my babies

MY PETS LOVE HIM! He is awesome and I would recommend him and his staff to any and everyone! Very Affordable, Friendly and Care Staff and DOCTOR.
There are always two versions to a story and quite frankly I don't care to hear any more of you whiners below. All my family have taken our pets to him for many years and so far have not once been disappointed!

I live much closer to many other vets, but I have been taking my pets to Gulfgate Animal Hospital for 15 years or so & wouldn't go anywhere else.
Our Catahoula, Louie, loves visiting Dr. McNary & always wags his tail wildly when he goes (even when he knows it means getting shots).
A few years ago our 15+ yr old cat, Bill, suddenly fell ill the day we left for a short vacation. I knew Dr. McNary would keep Bill comfortable until we returned. He didn't push any expensive treatments on us (like many vets would) as he knew it wouldn't be the best thing for Bill.
While we were on the road, the Dr. diagnosed Bill with fatal kidney failure & called us with the bad news. I could hear the distress in his voice. When we returned, my husband and I went to the clinic to have our first pet put down. Bill was comfortable & peaceful when we got to there. We knew ending the suffering was the right thing to do for our sweet Bill. Dr. McNary was very caring & explained the process before proceeding. When it was done, we were sad of course, but felt blessed to have a vet that cared so much for our pets (and us).

First, Larry R., if hundreds of people were dumb enough to join McNary's MLM program, what does that make McNary, the ringleader?
I support the comments made by the guy below because I worked with McNary in that program with my buddy G.Those comments written below are 100% true.I can't believe that someone remembers that much.
All I will say is that I support the coments below and that McNary did in fact take tens of thousands of dollars for his and his son's own. That preacher did take alot, also.
The public has the right to know the character of people they entrust their beloeved animals to.

I have had a very good experience here. They are very reasonable and I would recommend the to everyone. Not sure about all this stuff about the marketing scam. But I can tell you this he is in fact a very nice person and is very concerned with your pets health. Anyone who posts something like this one below should at least leave their name or more facts.But I guess I would be embarrassed too if I was dumb enough to fall for a MLM. I mean isn't it basic knowledge that those thing don't work come on shame on you!

McNary is a Scam Artist

Approximately 10 years ago, Glenn McNary and his partner, a preacher in Houston, Texas, started a MLM program. This program was a scam from the start, with McNary nowhere to be found. In fact, the lady that gave weekly meetings, always told the audience that McNary was a "doctor." McNary intentionally misled people because no one would really want to invest their money with a Veterinarian, but may just invest with a "doctor."
McNary and his partner took in tens of thousands of dollars. Not one person benefited from this program, because it was a scam from the beginning. The only people that did benefit were McNary and his partner.
McNary may seem like a nice old man, but he he financially raped many people and they suffered, while he lined his coat with cash. McNary's son also benefited.

I have more faith in Dr. McNary than any physician I can find for myself. When I lost my love, my Jack, he almost cried, too. You could not find a better place. Everyone there is glad to see you. The new clinic is gorgeous!

Great no-nonsense vet

The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and Dr. McNary is great about explaining things. Doesn't try to upsell you in anyway. I used to go there with complete confidence that my dog would be taken care at an affordable price without sacrificing quality.
I now live in California and I trully miss them.

I have been using Gulfgate Animal Hospital for over 10 years. Dr. McNary is an excellent vet and he offers expert medical care without padding the bill. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Gulfgate Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a lifelong vet. It has been my experience that Dr. McNary takes time with you to explain everything and answer any questions completely.
PROS: Quality care at affordable prices.

I went to the Gulfgate Animal Hospital with my sister and her cat right after Bashia gave birth. After nursing her kittens for a week she stopped letting them nurse and was biting at them. Worried that the kittens might not eat we took Bashia in. Come to find out she just had an infection. They were great and seemed to know what to do right away. They gave her antibiotics. They also called the next day to see how she was doing.

This is the only place I take my dog. This place has an experienced vet on staff and everyone is helpful and friendly. They even give helpful information by phone. The pricing is great. I have had shots as well as procedures for my dog there. Great place for place.
