I was not overly pleased with the customer service I got from Floor America. I simply went in for an estimate and later they came to my home. The estimate was very high compared to others in the industry in and around Denton. I would continue to shop around if I were you.

Bought carpet and vinyl because my parents were buying there's from there at the same time I did. Price was about one hundred dollars less than the other guys so I went with them. Not worth the hundred. Made an appointment over a month in advance so the dates would work out for my move in. Came to install vinyl and carpet and installed wrong vinyl. Took two weeks for them to order the right one. Carpet had what I thought were seams showing and they told my wife it would vacuum out. Did not vacuum out so i called again. Same guy came out and said carpet was defective. Why did he install defective carpet? Who knows. Two weeks after the new vinyl was laid they finally came to install the quarter round and when he got to the house asked me what he was supposed to be doing? Installed it in a few hours and I was working outdoors and then they just left. I went inside to look and they left scraps and trash everywhere. They also moved a few things to install it and didn't move anything back. I would rate them zero stars but you have to pick one. This was a horrible experience. Would not recommend them to anyone unless you are a fan of waiting months for install and numerous visits to fix there screw ups.

I recently purchased carpeting and vinyl flooring from My Flooring America and have to say the experience was less than appealing. Their low price and second generation family orientated advertising lulled me into thinking I was going to get a fair price with decent service. This was not the case. Their prices were almost 50% higher than Home Depot's prices and the carpet was idenitcal. They offered special financing that had fine print that nobody could see (not even their sales people). In order to figure out your terms you needed to be a mind reader. Because of the inconsistent prices and vague terms, I would recommend a larger or more established company. They claim to be a second generation family owned business but customer service tends to wane when the Gen II kids take over.... Case and point.

Kelby Frederick is a man of his word. I will do more business with Flooring America in the future...as well as recommend Flooring America to others. Communication was lacking in the beginning, but the fact that the owner was available when needed made the difference between a problem and a great finished product...which really says a lot about their desire to get things right and make the customer happy. Thank you!

Did not like these people at all. Very high prices and felt like I was at a used car lot. When asked about ordering carpet to match prices of another big chain he stammered and talked about his higher quality products. The salesmen really stated " I shoot so straight, I scare myself". Yipes. Let the bullets fly. We left.
