Pappasito's Cantina, a Tex-Mex favorite, has been voted Number One Mexican Restaurant repeatedly in publications across Texas. Pappasito's is famous for Texas-size portions of sizzling fajitas, margaritas and some of the best chips and salsa north of the Rio Grande! We always have great specials at Pappasito's - visit our website to see our current offers http://www.pappasitos.com.
I have never met anyone who did not agree that pappasito's and pappadeaux's are the best of the best. They have reasonable prices, huge servings and delicious food. I have never been dissappointed.

I have had many of the items on the menu and I have never been disappointed. The chips and hot sauce are always warm and interestingly the salads are very good.

Both Pappasitos and Pappadeux are two outstanding restaurants. Pappasitos has great fajitas with a to die for butter sauce and excellent margaritas. Pappadeux is a family tradition. Each year for my birthday we go there and I always get the same dish. The Mahi Mahi with the stuffing of shrimp, crawfish, and cheeses with two sides of my choice. To end I get my favorite dessert creme brulee. The best anywhere..so good!!!

Upscale version of Pancho's. If you want Mexican or Tex Mex, keep on driving. If you are looking for a popular place to eat chips and drink margaritas, this is your place. Food is below average, atmosphere is recommended.
Pros: great place to meet friends, not a "real" restaurant imho
Cons: upscale fast food

We decided to go to Pappasitos' yesterday for their lunch fajitas. Our waiter started off helpful and friendly and then gradually it was as if a change came over him. Someone else brought us our food, and later our drinks. This continued with him getting other people to service us more and more. The fajitas were great, I have no complaints about the food except for the tortilla chips were a little over cooked for Pappsitos standards of light, and airy chips. When we asked for our refills he would go over to do them and then get sidetracked and go to the bar and mix drinks there *which wasn't his job as a waiter* and then he would talk to the lady at the bar. Then a young couple with a baby came and sat at the table behind us and he started making jokes with them and playing with the baby and offering them different food and drink choices while our table and another table are pleading with him for service. We asked for our check and he FINALLY after 15 minutes brought it to us, and then stuck it and the debit card in his pocket. It took another 20 minutes for him to come back to our table and he still hadn't rung up the check. He said. uh, uh I'm going to do it! then he finally did and charged us for the wrong person's bill and when my mom questioned him about it he said "oh, my treat". He also was the one who suggested a whole plate of jalapenos to go with our chili con queso and charged us $1.00 for HIS suggestion. Needless to say no tip was given and a call and letter to corporate was put in.
Pros: the best fajitas on the planet
Cons: bad service, noisy

I consider myself a Tex-Mex connoisseur. Especially of Houston. I've gone shamelessly to almost every Tex-Mex restraunt in town, yet always find myself back at this one. Other restraunts have more this or that, but Pappasitos has the best of it all. Wed. they have a live band and keep the atmosphere festive, and on friday and saturday nights, everybody's happy. It's a little loud, but that helps add to the environment, and the wait was long, but they have servers offering appetizers and drinks to keep you interested. Their service and food, both are fantastic and I would strongly reccommend it to anyone interested in traditional tex-mex.
Pros: Service, Food, Atmosphere
Cons: , Noise Level

My first visit to Pappasito's was somewhat of a let down. It was very loud, so much so, that it's difficult to carry on a conversation. I also found it very overpriced. The queso became lumpy upon sitting and tasted like nothing more than melted Velveeta cheese. The chicken enchiladas were good and flavorful. We always had plenty of drink refills, but waited too long for our entrees and bill.
Pros: Flavorful
Cons: Loud
