The hotel I stayed at suggested this 'local secret' for breakfast. Boy, was I pleased! Both meals were huge, and the biscuits were wonderful and huge themselves! The biscuits are freshly baked and brought to you straight from the oven. They were so good, we almost put a couple in our pockets for later! Only downfall for the place, it was busy on a Saturday morning, and the service was slow. The food was still worth it though. Prices were inexpensive as well.

This is a secret to locals in SA! Get the root beer and try their german treats! We've tried everything from the schnitzel, split pea soup to the lox bagel. The menu has something for everyone from bkfst, light bites, lunch, specials and dinner. A great food find!
The deli has been the same since 1917 and looks like an old soda shop (not the 50's soda shop type). They have great beer on tap (german, local and my fav. stella!). Oh and of all things...IT'S SO REASONABLE!
