Dr Jones and Dr Becky are great. HOWEVER the woman at the front desk named Jerri is so rude that I know of several people that will not visit Southridge because of her. She is just short of being a sociopath, without empathy. I have often wondered if Dr Jones knows how she treats people when hes not around. She blocks his calls and offers her uneducated information on the phone and discourages appointments in emergencies. I know this for a fact because I have tried to get through to Dr Jones, and Jerri is definitely a roadblock. I have often watched as other staff in the office look at her with alarm. Regardless, Dr Jones is a good vet and I will continue to take my pets to him. I just wish that the gargoyle he has working the front desk was locked in a cage in the back instead. This woman is hurting his business.

I have had pets since I was 6 years old, 61 years ago. I have been to vets from New York to California, Texas to Wisconsin.
No one even comes close to Dr Jones. His caring attitude, willingness to discuss in depth situations, and wonderful treatment of every dog and cat he has seen, is hands down, the finest I have ever experienced. The office is clean, the staff is courteous, and there are not enough good things I could say about them Thank for being there for me and my friends.

My experience with Dr. Jones and his staff has been one of great respect and admiration. They are a group of individuals that work hard and truly care about each and every animal that walks, flies or crawls through their doors. Even though they have many clients they work their hardest to provide a warm and caring atmosphere for their patients, treating everyone like they truly are a part of the Southridge family. I highly recommend this outstanding team to anyone.

I have noticed on this particular business the reviews seem somewhat "rigged". If you look at who is making the "good" reviews they are people with very few reviews at all. I think their own employees are making these myself. So yes, heads up on these reviews. Somethings is definitely fishy here.

My dog had a small fracture in his leg. The vets first told me it would take 10 days for the splint to come off. After week 3 I took him back with the third splint to come off and it had been to tight and had killed his leg. The leg had to be removed from my dog because of the poor work they had done. The dog went through three of the doctors there instead of one who may have known my dogs needs better.

You only get once chance to make a good first impression and this place failed miserably. First of all the receptionist was very rude. Secondly I had to wait over an hour to get seen even though I had an appointment. Very, very expensive. I will look elsewhere before going here again. I read these reviews for the place and find them very hard to believe.

Not only do they provide a very clean clinical area, (and I'm a nurse, who's very picky about that) There is absolutely no animal smell when you walk in, it's always clean. The allow you to look in the intensive care area and surgical areas, I found the clinical areas to be an excellent, clean, well cared for environment. I also appreciate they they have different waiting areas for different types of animals. The staff is wonderful, compassionate, and extremely supportive. When our dog was dying from Cancer, they helped us manage his pain, and when we finally had to put him to sleep, they let me hold him, gave me as much time as I needed to be with him, they even helped me cut a lock of his hair to take home. I find their pricing to be very reasonable. They have provided wonderful services for us, and I highly recommend them. And they do let you know when your pet is due for shots, which I appreciate

I have taken pets to Southridge Animal Hospital for 8 years. Dr. Jones and Dr. Hunsberger have treated my last 6 pets. All the doctors seem to be great vets. Hali and Ali are most helpful but another office worker is not so nice. My biggest complaint is that their computers continually say that my pets need vaccinations that they just receieved. I have to take my recipts in to show that they have already received a particular shot. Last month they tried to give my puppy two rabbies vacinations! The check out process can take forever especially when you have a 100 lb dog on a leash in a small room full of other dogs. I have waited up to 25 minutes just to pay.

I have no idea why somebody would trash Dr. J. He is one of the kindest vets I have ever met or had for my dog. How many docs do you know that will sit down on the floor and play with your dog while telling you what is going on with your pet? I think the world of Dr. J and you can see how he truly loves animals. So, Mr. Trasher, your little ploy won't fly with those of us who see Dr. J for what he really is.Jannet H.

I have been going to Southridge for almost 10 years due to the great staff and doctors, and know alot of the staff personally, so I called the hospital up and asked about someone repeatedly trashing them on this site. Seems there was an employee that was fired after working there only a couple of months (because he wouldn't take orders from any females and was insubordinate to the doctors I was told), and he now uses this site to try to trash the Hospital. How pathetic is that? And how useful is this site if some vindictive ex-employee can lie and smear a business that I KNOW BETTER.

The excellent staff at Southridge are experienced in the care of our animals. They are professional people who trully care about the clients and their pets. The hospital is very clean and sterile for the safety of our pets. Dr. J and Dr. B. have performed many miracles in saving the lives of my own pack of dogs and the lives of sick or injured rescued dogs. Dr. J. has, on a number of occasions, met me at the hospital after hours when I had an emergency case with one of the dogs. Both Dr. J. and Dr. B. are dedicated and highly technical vets who are aggressive in treatments and preventatives. Dr. J. performs excellent orthopedic surgeries, and so much more. Many of his clients have come from other animal hospitals and remain loyal clients to Southridge. Southridge vet costs are competitive to other local animal clinics in the area. You won't be sorry you took your pet to Southridge. They are the best...in so many ways.

I went to two other hospitals and couldn't afford the surgery and treatment for my dog, then a friend at work recomended Southridge. They took care of him, it cost alot less than the other two hospitals had quoted me, and he is doing great now. Dr Jones and his staff were awesome.

When my dog broke her leg, Dr. Jones cut his vacation short to come back and operate on my dog! Dr. Jones saved her leg, and she is back in competative agility today because of Dr. Jones and his caring and knowledgeable staff. When my cat contracted cancer, Dr. McClannahan held my hand throughout the entire ordeal. She made sure I fully understood what was happening every step of the way. When the time came to put her to sleep, the Doctor met me at the clinic after hours and let me spend as much time as I needed to say goodbye. I have used Southridge for almost 7 years now and have never had a negative experience. My pets are very important to me and I wouldn't let just anyone care for them. I have complete faith and trust in the doctors and staff of Southridge Animal Hosptial. I highly recommend Southridge Animal Hospital to anyone looking for veterinary care for their animals.

This "veterinary hospital" is full of germs; whatever you do, don't board your dog there.
Inexperienced staff, too young.
Carried pet around with them because they thought she was "cute," exposed her to germs. Didn't give her the shots they were supposed to, until the day before I picked her up.
It was too late. She died from complications from pneumonia.
If you love your animals, don't take them there.

Dr. J has kept my Rottweiler going way past his expected life _ 15 1/2 now.
Dr. J's hip surgery kept my Shepherd from being put down. That was 6 years ago and the dog is still healthy and active.
Dr. J called me back at 2 a.m. when my terrier became paralyzed from a herniated disk. Dr. J got him well, without surgery, and he's still going strong at age 12.
Many vets are closer to my home, but I drive from out of town so my pets can be cared for by the best vet ever.
Great staff. Great service. Highly recommend!
