Handyman Connection

I thought I'd hire a professional to ensure work was done right...boy did I bark up the wrong tree with these guys! I had 4 old wooded windows that needed to be fixed. I was promised "they will be like new'. When he finished I took a look at the first three which looked nice and to my great regret assumed forth was done right as well. After days of sending pictures and phone calls which went ignored I was told that was what I wanted...in what universe??!!! Apparently the 1 year warranty is just a little joke. So...I tore down the scrap of thin, crooked wood that was stapled to one side of window and fixed it myself with about $20 in supplies and an hour or so of my time. I called back and left message that I was demanding a partial refund for shoddy work or would post bad reviews on Monday. He called back leaving me a message that I had made "terroristic threats and defamation of character" and that his lawyers would have a field day with this. I have stepped through the gates of hell via Handyman Connection. Please heed my warnings and look elsewhere for help.

I have used this service for two years. They are efficient, punctual and very experienced. I have not come up with a project yet that they cannot handle. Most of the contractors are older and very experienced. The service is cost effective too.

The gentlemen who came out to my home to do some work only wanted to half do it. I asked him to put a trim around my microwave and told him that I have the paint for it so it doesn't need to be purchased and then up charged me $50 to paint. Then I had him cut part of baseboard in laundry room to fit a fridge and got out the paint to fix where he cut and said that was not included in the job. why would someone want you to cut and not paint it and make it look right. He said he thought I was going to do it. Why would I call someone out to do a half job and pay for it. No I want it done right. He was very rude and got very loud with me. I had to ask him to lower his tone with me. I feel like because I am a young woman that he thinks he can get over on me. I am not going to allow that to happen. I am paying for a service to be completed and I expect it to be done properly and neatly. Good luck calling this service or just ask for anyone except for Ken. He didn't even bring tools for the job that I explained to the operator that I needed done. Also make sure you have all supplies needed otherwise after you agree to everything and ready to begin the work and they need to pick up supplies they will go to the store and get it take it to the counter then they will call you to pay over the phone by credit card. Not very professional.......The gentleman that came to my home does his own side work. I learned my lesson for using a company that uses contractors, next time I will be sure to ask if they are employees of the company.
