This is our favorite place to dine in Dallas. The food is excellent....Monday night all-you-can-eat crab claws is the best! Everything else on this menu does not disappoint either. The waitstaff is second to none....truly. The service is consistently spot-on every time. Some other restaurants in Dallas need to take notes from them.

I went to Truluck's on Valentine's Day and had a way expensive meal and didn't quite understand why I paid so much. The Chippino was alright but I found it to be a little too rustic as it had whole baby squids floating around in it, and some of the mussels must not have been cleaned because a few of them tasted like dirt (literally). My boyfriend got the Rib eye and it was about 40% fat - I realize this is a fatty cut of beef, but it was overly fatty - and the only beef offered on the special menu for the night. For the money $490 tab, I would have much rather gone to Bob's Steakhouse or Dallas Sea Food Market.

Trulucks is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. They have the best stone crab in Dallas. They have an all you can eat stone crab deal on Tuesdays, but watch out - the sides they bring out are so awesome you will have trouble saving room for the stone crab. Sneaky!

Truluck's is our favorite sea food restaurant! Monday's are all you can eat crab claws. We fill up on the claws and forego any sides. (Although the sides are great too!) And you can't leave without a piece of their chocolate cake, it is to DIE for!!

Trulucks is an excellent restaurant with great seafood and steaks. They serve warm bread with every meal and it is priced at $20+ per person. Their chocolate dessert is fantastic and their wine list is extensive.

Flawless!!!
by origrosie
We celebrated our anniversary at Truluck's and it was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious as usual, we ate the knife and fork caesar salad to start, classically served with white anchovies, wow!! The king crab was the biggest and best I've ever tasted and my husband had a NY strip cooked perfectly. We ordered the chocolate cake for a dessert to share and were blown away at the size and how moist it was, needless to say it was the best chocolate cake ever. You must try it. The best part was the anniversary card signed by the entire staff and the chocolate truffles they sent home with us.Thank You for making our evening such a memorable one. We'll recommend Truluck's to everyone.

Great steaks and seafood, maybe a bit pricey
by salsrock
My wife and I went to Trulucks after a Dallas Cowboys game and I am glad we did. This place is really nice and the food is above average. The steaks are top quality and the seafood taste very fresh. The service was awesome and the waiter was very knowledgable. If you like wine, this is the place to go, they have over 100 bottles of wine by the glass. Be prepared to spend about 35 bucks per person.

Great food. This place has to be one of the best steak and seafood places in Dallas. Excellent wine list. It can be very pricey but it is worth it. there is not many places you can say that about.
Pros: great food, great service
Cons: can get crowded. watch the valets, they will rip you off.

Delicious seafood in Dallas
by jenfrench14
This is a great spot for fresh seafood - especially if you're looking for crab! We started with the tomato and bacon salad which is a great choice if you love tomatoes. The tomato was served whole with the warm bacon and dressing in the middle. I ordered halibut for my entree and requested to have it blackened. It was perfect! My co-worker ordered the 1 lb. Dutch Harbor King Crab and said it was the best he had ever eaten. You have to try the jalapeno potatoes - they are out of this world! We also had the sweet potato fries...so needless to say we didn't have room for dessert.
Pros: Fresh seafood, excellent service

If you are gonna get CRABS, this is your place.

Great place for any occasion. Lunch is great and affordable with spectacular service; you can not beat 3 courses for 15 bucks. Great place to unwind for dinner the restaurant is very upscale without the feeling of being overly pretentious. They have an option of a wine flight where you get four different tastings of wine from moderately priced to the higher end of the menu. I have been many times and it is hard to pick which is my favorite day to go. It is definately a toss up between the belt busting Monday night's all you can eat Stone Crab or the Sunday Brunch where you can get an ubelievable Truluck's Benedict, its Eggs Benedict over a crab cake. I don't know who thought about this concoction but they should win an award. It does not stop there either, you will be overly impressed with a slice of the heavenly layered chocolate cake or the carrot cake. Each of these peices comes out about a foot tall and more dense and rich than a Dallas Cowboy lineman. If you haven't been, give it shot. I might just see you there.
Pros: The highest quality food, service and experience you can get from a restaurant. You leave everytime thinking, "Man
Cons: No all you can eat lobster night :(

Very Pleased
by batman2002
I've been to three of the four Truluck's in Texas (I haven't been to the one in Austin yet). Overall I can complain only a little. The service is generally friendly, the food is seasoned just right, and the waiters/waitresses are very honest with you. I cannot complain about their dessert; I'm a big fan of the Mocha Mud Pie. The one I've had the least favorable experience would be the one in Addison. I only went their once by myself and they sat me in a booth for four next to the kitchen door. FOUR (4) different waiters ended up serving me that night. Other than that, kudos to Trulucks. I recommend a reservation for evenings.
Pros: Taste, Quality, Service
Cons: Noise level
